Hey @EsseKey!

Mine weren’t cramps, it was more like pain/aching on my side but located where my kidney is. I was sure it was a kidney issue or something but turns out its dietary. I’ve had a kidney infection before and that’s how I would describe where it is but it seems to be down to diet/bloating/constipation!

Glad to hear you’re feeling better than last week Smile I’m 9 weeks and 2 days and the peak has just started for me. Haven’t felt great the last few weeks but it has definitely gone up a notch this week haha.

sociallydistained · 28/06/2021 15:46

@ShaSha13 my right kidney side is kicking off again today 🙄

sociallydistained · 28/06/2021 15:47

Also we are exactly the same they dated me at my scan yesterday and I’m 9+2 today also Grin

sociallydistained · 28/06/2021 15:47

@sociallydistained

Just realised I’m 9+3 as it was 9+2 yesterday 😂
ChelleV · 28/06/2021 15:51

@sociallydistained yeah that was our plan before baby, the mortgage - but then I had my maternity pay revoked so now I've got nothing we're staying where we are, but we're lucky enough to have a large enough place for us all.

For your dissertation, just start. It doesn't have to be in the right order. It's so much easier to edit than write! Masters are SO stressful regardless of what you're doing but it's my second favourite accomplishment right now (the first being tiny heartbeat)

EsseKey · 28/06/2021 16:04

@ShaSha13 understood! Sorry you have to go through this pain, hopefully it's just temporary! Same with the nausea!

@sociallydistained I hope you can sort your mortage/house soon! I know how stressful it can be without a baby on the way, I can't imagine now! but I am sure you will be successful in the end :)

@ChelleV I love how you say that it's your second favourite accomplishment

1sttimemumn · 28/06/2021 16:59

Hi!

I’m glad to hear your blood an urine were clear :)

So it’s really hard to explain it was like a combination of both. It started as sort of bad period type cramps that were low down and actually went into the tops of my legs. I then was getting a combination of this and also what felt like extreme sort of wind/constipation pains. It seems to have eased a lot now. It’s really hard to explain all I know is it was bloody horrendous and I hope it doesn’t come back😆! I think it’s quite uncommon from speaking to the doctors and when I went to hospital etc! Xx

1sttimemumn · 28/06/2021 17:03

@EsseKey so sorry I forgot to thaw you in the above message!

EsseKey · 28/06/2021 17:08

@1sttimemumn ok, thanks for explaining! yes it sounds quite a weird combination of pain in different places, I also hope it doesn't come back! we have so much already to think about! X

1sttimemumn · 28/06/2021 17:12

@EsseKey definitely it was weird as all very low down pains. Just glad nothing was wrong with the baby! Oh don’t we!! When did you say your dating scan is? I have mine Thursday 15th. X

EsseKey · 28/06/2021 17:16

@1sttimemumn mine is on the 14th! which should be right on the 12wk mark. I can't wait!

1sttimemumn · 28/06/2021 17:18

So exciting!! Mins right on the 12 week mark too so close!! X

thecapitalsunited · 28/06/2021 21:30

My dating scan on the 19th which is a few days before our wedding anniversary so hopefully everything goes ok!

1sttimemumn · 28/06/2021 21:55

@thecapitalsunited aww that’s lovely timing!! 🥰 fingers crossed I’m sure it will be fine! X

ChelleV · 29/06/2021 11:45

Woke up today feeling like I'd gone back in time 3 weeks. Nausea and exhaustion and sensitive to EVERYTHING.

@1sttimemumn I think there are 3 of us having ours on that day!

expectinglittlebear · 29/06/2021 11:54

@thecapitalsunited aww that's lovely!!

@ChelleV Sorry to hear you are feeling crappy, hopefully it will get easier Flowers

EsseKey · 29/06/2021 12:55

@ChelleV so sorry that you are feeling bad today - hopefully it's just a wave and will be gone soon! XX

Today I met my line manager and told her about the pregnancy - I didn't want to so early but we have a very good relationship and she was asking me how I was feeling after the miscarriage in March (I had told her about it), so it kind of come natural to tell her. It appears I am more concerned than she is about me going on maternity leave at some point!
I was just feeling 'guilty' because we are a small team in a very big company, and one colleague is leaving in August leaving us under resourced, and I really don't like leaving my colleagues without my support when I go on mat leave! But really it's not something I should worry about (I know that, but it's just difficult to do that for me), and she has been so nice and supportive to remind me that this is just a good news and nothing for me to worry about. I am quite relieved tbh :)

thecapitalsunited · 29/06/2021 13:23

@EsseKey I told my manager a few weeks ago so I could start blocking out time for appointments. I felt bad because someone else is off in my team but my manager thought it was wonderful news and told me that he was quite excited to have two babies and a wedding in the team in a short space of time.

I had a text from my GP today saying that they’d sent a prescription to the pharmacist because my urine test shows I have an infection. Can’t see any results in the BadgerNotes app (which is complete garbage) though so I’m assuming that the urine sample I gave at my booking appointment has come back and my GP copied into the results rather than the GP just randomly sending me some amoxicillin. But who knows.

Tangfastic91 · 29/06/2021 20:06

@essekey I have mine on 14th too!! Think I'll be 12+1 but that could change with the scan of course. Time is just dragging so slowly!!

EsseKey · 29/06/2021 20:23

@thecapitalsunited it makes things so much easier when you have a supportive working environment!
Ah sorry for the urinary infection...
I actually can see the results of my analysis on patient access, and on the NHS app. Maybe you can check there?

@Tangfastic91 can't wait!!! I am counting down the "weekends til", feels shorter this way ahahha

thecapitalsunited · 29/06/2021 20:28

@EsseKey Annoyingly I can’t see my medical record in Patient Access because my GP has turned it off and won’t turn it on unless I go there in person and request it. But they don’t want me to go in person because COVID. I’m not even sure it’s a urine infection because I haven’t been prescribed the same pills I had last time I had a UTI. I’ve assumed a random infection! At least the GP seems to be on the ball with results I suppose.

EsseKey · 29/06/2021 20:37

@thecapitalsunited it can be that he gave you a different antibiotic depending on the type of infection, or maybe something just more safe in pregnancy!
Anyway, annoying that you can't see your own test results! 🙄

ShaSha13 · 29/06/2021 22:07

So envious of everyone with the dates for their scans! Sad I’m now 9w3days and my booking appointment isn’t even until 14th July when I’ll be just under 12 weeks- I actually phoned up the community midwives just under week 5 in the hope that my scan would be in week 12. But it seems likely that I won’t have my scan until week 14 Sad I’m so impatient haha x

sociallydistained · 30/06/2021 08:11

@ShaSha13 I don’t have my scan date either and I’m nervous about when it’ll be because of work. My booking app is next Monday though and I’ve managed to cover work for that (don’t want to tell them officially yet). Hopefully they’ll send you your scan date before your booking app too!

ShaSha13 · 30/06/2021 08:41

@sociallydistained fortunately where I live, there’s a few different hospitals I can go to. Unfortunately, they haven’t asked which one and I think they ask at the booking appointment haha, so will definitely be after it. Fingers crossed it’s the week after Smile
