Hi ladies, I just found out I'm pregnant 4 weeks 1 day just seeing if there's any other newly pregnant who are as excited, terrified, elated, and shocked as I am 😂🤰🏻💕 Due Jan 30th 2022 🤞🤞🤞

@Jonesy88 i know the concern about no symptoms and wanting at least some, I had the same in the first pregnancy! Especially because you have nothing else telling you that you are pregnant a part from the pregnancy test 😬
But be reassured that is also normal not to have major symtpoms such as nausea etc... Oh, and absence of your period I would say is actually THE symptom, even if everyone easily forget about it, because literally everyone will have it 😅
I hope your scan goes well next week 😊

Jonesy88 · 11/06/2021 11:00

Aww thank you @EsseKey I definitely do have that symptom!

spttc · 11/06/2021 11:08

@expectinglittlebear same. 6weeks 5 days today.... BAM morning sickness! Felt perfect up until this morning. Gutted 😂🙈

I absolutely love reading through these comments and seeing the comments from people who are exactly the same amount of days pregnant as me! It's such a good club to be in haha. I found out last week that one of my friends from school is also pregnant, and we're due on the same day!

Literally the exact same, how strange haha!! It's annoying isn't it, thought I had gotten away with it!!

expectinglittlebear · 11/06/2021 14:52

Welcome @Kayl23, so are you 6+5 today too? xx

spttc · 11/06/2021 15:26

@expectinglittlebear it's mad isn't it 😂😂 me too I was feeling very smug! I was sick twice this morning, but now I'm back to being fine so just praying it stays as a morning thing and not an all day thing 😬🤞

I always forget the absolute dog tired exhaustion. I'm so tired!

Kayl23 · 11/06/2021 16:59

@expectinglittlebear Yep! There's loads of us in here on the same days haha it's great ☺️

Is anyone else starting to feel like they look a bit rubbish though? Obviously it's for a good reason but my skin is awful, my hair seems to be more greasy?! I look knackered, this bloating is making me look like I've gained three stone in a week and I'm too tired to bother with my tan or makeup!! I can't wait to have an actual bump so it's obvious what's going on, at the minute I just resemble a combination of Hagrid and Voldemort rolled into one. With a sprinkling of Ron Weasley for good measure! 😔

BennyB22 · 11/06/2021 18:54

@Kayl123

I look a fright- hair definitely greasier, spotty neck and generally just look exhausted. I'm a teacher in Glasgow and our term ends in two weeks so that am so might be a factor!

I'm sure I read somewhere that the hormones in early pregnancy are similar to right before your period, which must account for looking a bit run down.

spttc · 11/06/2021 18:58

@Kayl23 omg yes to the greasy hair! That's so funny I literally said to my husband I'm going to change shampoo as my hair is greasy within 24 hours. Like looks as if I Havnt washed it in days!

My due date is January 27 😍 I'm now 7+ weeks

Yorkiemum89 · 12/06/2021 10:32

I still don't have any real symptoms apart from sore boobs, fatigue and a bit bloated/heartburn and I'm 7 weeks tomorrow. Have a terrible feeling that this pregnancy isn't progressing as it should 😥

GoldenSun1 · 12/06/2021 10:51

@Yorkiemum89 I'm the same at 8 weeks now. The no nausea has really increased my anxiety but I don't have anything to compare it to and even if I did, each pregnancy is different.

I think it's also important to remember that the other small symptoms like fatigue are clear indications that our bodies are changing. I talked to my husband about my worries the other night and he said he could see a clear difference in me and that if he didn't know I was pregnant he would be suggesting I see a doctor for the fatigue alone.

Hopefully we'll look back at this time in the second and third trimester and wonder why we worried so much!

Yorkiemum89 · 12/06/2021 11:00

@GoldenSun1 I'm glad I'm not the only one! Yes that's very true and I hope we can look back on this too and realise how silly we were for worrying so much! It just seems like every single post I read on here, someone has had a mmc and naively I had no idea they were so common!

I have health anxiety anyway so reading these forums probably doesn't help that really... it's also pretty difficult having heard nothing back from any GP or midwife regarding booking appointments etc. Even though I've known for almost 4 weeks it still doesn't feel real - it's a weird kind of limbo that we're all in at the moment isn't it.

Kayl23 · 12/06/2021 11:58

@Yorkiemum89 My sister has quite severe health anxiety and was the same throughout her pregnancies. She wasn't sick at all through either of her pregnancies, she did feel nauseous in her first pregnancy but didn't have any nausea whatsoever in second pregnancy so was constantly worried, but she now has two gorgeous healthy babies ☺️ I did read that the 1 in 4 statistic in relation to MC includes chemical pregnancies etc and that 1 in 5 is actually a more realistic statistic once you get past those first few weeks - which means there is an 80% chance of everything being absolutely fine and those chances get higher and higher with each week!

thecapitalsunited · 12/06/2021 18:39

@Yorkiemum89 We’re on the same dates and I haven’t really had any nausea either. The only time has been when I’ve got straight up and walked the dog without eating - an hour in and I start to feel a tiny bit nauseous but nothing that I wouldn’t necessarily feel from exercising with an empty stomach anyway.

I’m still very constipated and my boobs are so sensitive so I know my body is producing pregnancy hormones.

I do have my booking appointment. I put in my referral to the hospital on Monday, the replied on Tuesday and phoned me on Weds to arrange the booking appointment. My 12 week scan appointment came on Friday. A lot more efficient than I expected!

Yorkiemum89 · 12/06/2021 19:51

@Kayl23 thank you for the reassurance and statistics that are a little kinder to read!! I get too bogged down with everything - I'm a jump to worst case scenario type of person but I've got to look at the positives too.

@thecapitalsunited wow that is really efficient - I haven't heard anything from mine at all. I did refer a couple of weeks back so I was very early so hopefully I will hear something this week at some point! That's also reassuring that you and I have similar symptoms too with not a lot of nausea involved. I never thought I'd actually want to feel sick...

It's so crazy that there are loads of us on here that have the exact same dates!

Jonesy88 · 12/06/2021 20:04

@Yorkiemum89 I’m 7 weeks and have nothing material in the way of symptoms. I’ve booked in for an early scan just to check there’s something there - I’m hoping to see a heartbeat as I think that’ll be the reassurance I need.

@thecapitalsunited - I just had to leave my details an answerphone to register and it said someone will call at 8-10 weeks to arrange. It’s feels so strange I haven’t spoken to an actual person yet.

thecapitalsunited · 12/06/2021 20:17

@Jonesy88 I’ve also booked an early scan for this reason. It wasn’t as much as I had been expecting so we’ve got an appointment for Friday. I’ll be 7+5 then so hopefully a good chance of seeing a heartbeat.

I had to email a form for self referral to the hospital or send it snail mail. I was definitely surprised to get everything arranged this quickly but it’s definitely helpful to be able to let my manager know well ahead of time that I’ll be skipping a team meeting.

Jonesy88 · 13/06/2021 12:02

So I’m back from my scan and we saw the heartbeat! There was not much else to see but that’s enough for me to feel better. My dates have been revised to 6+4 rather than 7+1 which makes sense with my cycles and does technically mean I’m due 2nd Feb but I’ll loiter here for a while longer if that’s ok :)

thecapitalsunited · 13/06/2021 17:06

@Jonesy88 That’s great. I hope you are feeling relieved having seen that. I’m looking forward to my scan on Friday but at the same time apprehensive in case something has gone wrong.

Jonesy88 · 13/06/2021 17:30

@thecapitalsunited hope it goes well for you, I was so anxious beforehand I couldn’t sleep and I’m not normally a stressy person. Hopefully I’ll get a letter or call from the midwife soon arranging the 12 week scan. It seems so far away!

Kayl23 · 13/06/2021 20:38

Hello ladies, I'm just looking for some reassurance really. I have had no nausea at all today but for the last week or so I've had significant nausea every day. I still have my other symptoms, my boobs are absolutely killing but apart from that I feel fine and now I'm just really worrying :(

SukiHenny · 13/06/2021 20:49

Hi @Kayl23 I think this is totally normal. I've been mostly nauseous with the odd good day or two in between. Maybe it just means you've staggered your snacks or meals well today?! I'm finding if I do that the whole background nausea thing eases significantly. If your other symptoms are still knocking about then that's reassuring. I'd say that this is just a bit of variation in your symptoms and nothing to panic about. I don't think consistency is necessarily the norm, anyway. xxx
