Hi ladies, I just found out I'm pregnant 4 weeks 1 day just seeing if there's any other newly pregnant who are as excited, terrified, elated, and shocked as I am 😂🤰🏻💕 Due Jan 30th 2022 🤞🤞🤞

@bailey1802 oh no the contestant nausea doesn't sounds at all fun. Hope you're okay!
I think mine might be linked to constipation and bloating, and it doesn't help that I'm away atm and so not getting much rest and eating richer food than I would be at home

Kayl23 · 03/06/2021 17:28

I don't know what is going on today but I seem to have suddenly had an increase in symptoms, has anyone ever had this? It was only this morning that I said I didn't really have any but then throughout the day I've developed nausea, heartburn and had to nap this afternoon! I now regret saying I was excited for the sickness to start 🤣

bailey1802 · 03/06/2021 17:30

@Kayl23 Uh oh, told you not to wish that upon yourself 😂🙈 Hopefully yours just comes in waves & isn't too bad! I wouldn't wish this all day nausea on anyone. Ugh xx

Kayl23 · 03/06/2021 17:52

@bailey1802 I know haha think I've brought it on myself! Hopefully it won't get worse. Yours sounds awful! But I can imagine that seeing your little bean has made it easier 🥰 I have booked an early scan which is two weeks today but the days are really dragging!!

Fraanne · 03/06/2021 18:01

@Kayl23 I have an early scan the same day as you! Literally feel like it’s taking forever to get to that date! The days are slowww 😂

EsseKey · 03/06/2021 18:08

Today it has been an "action day" for me too! I have finally booked in for my pregnancy with the midwife. I had almost forgotten about it, since really no one contacts you anyway until you are 8 weeks I had put it very low on my priority list Blush

And I also booked an early scan for when I will be 8 weeks if I ever get there. I wanted to leave it up to the last minute because I don't want to jinx it but there were only 2 appointments left at a good time for my partner, so I booked it! I felt excited for a while, but now I am trying to forget about it otherwise I won't be able to think about anything else, and the time is soooo slow

SukiHenny · 03/06/2021 19:06

Joining this thread, although we're due mid-Jan. I'm 43 and 8 weeks pregnant following IUI treatment at London Women's Clinic. It's my first baby. I am new to everything related to this, including Mumsnet! Due January 14th, so says the paperwork from our early scan.

Good to read of other people's symptoms, thoughts and feelings. Prior to a conversation with the midwife yesterday I had been feeling rather isolated in my new state. Perhaps that's normal while staring down the 12 week threshold?

Smeed · 03/06/2021 21:12

Hi all,
Can I jump on this group too? First pregnancy, 34 years old, due roughly 23rd January.
The nausea is BAD, my boobs are on fire, and I'm exhausted but can't sleep. When does the happy, glowy pregnant bit start?!

ChinChilly · 03/06/2021 21:16

I need to catch up, hope you are all well, nice to see some new people!

I had a scan today, according to LMP i am 7+6 but they measured me at 6+4 she said not to worry as it is not unusual for dates to be out at this stage as everything is so small. We saw a flickering heartbeat though so that was nice.

Hope you're all well!

Kayl23 · 03/06/2021 21:51

That's exciting @Fraanne what time are you going? Are you nervous?

When is your scan @EsseKey ?

Welcome @SukiHenny and @Smeed ☺️ exciting times all round! It's definitely been a massive help having this thread and seeing how everyone else is feeling!

EsseKey · 03/06/2021 21:54

I booked it for the 20th of June! According to LMP i should be 9 weeks by then, but I know I have ovulated late so I expect to be 8 weeks - i think in both cases I should be able to see something 😬 20th june is so far away!

Ralala · 03/06/2021 22:10

Ladies if anyone wants to join the Facebook group then please just send me a private message and I can send you the link xx

Alle1991 · 03/06/2021 22:25

@EsseKey I’m thinking of booking a scan on 21st and should be about 8 weeks by then. It seems so far away!

I’ve started waking up between 5-6am feeling really sick and not being able to get back to sleep, it’s driving me mad! I’m normally a 8 hour sleep girl haha might have to change that soon. Apart from that and the sore boobs in the morning I’m feeling pretty good.

So glad we have this forum, it’s been a massive help for me x

SouthwestSis · 03/06/2021 23:06

I am having the same problem of feeling so tired but not being able to sleep through. Waking up multiple times a night, driving my husband a bit mad and making working the next day really challenging!
Looking forward to when I can tell colleagues so they don't think I'm just slacking

Fraanne · 04/06/2021 07:34

@Kayl23 yeah I’m nervous and excited just hope it’s all okay! It’s at 10am I couldn’t bring myself to just wait all day!

Morning sickness has officially started this morning, my head is down the loo constantly! So happy I’m WFH at the moment! I can’t even open the fridge door does anyone have any tips?!

SemiFeralDalek · 04/06/2021 07:49

@ottilieknackered how are you today? How is everyone?

My left side pain seems to have calmed down slightly this week. And my shoulder pain was probably just muscle ache from helping ds up the big hill on his bike. Hopefully anyway!

I had to reorder my mega dose of folic acid so tentatively booked in with the MW at the same time. GP will ring next week and refer me to MW but I count as high risk from the off and need a fetal medicine refferal etc. So although it's earlier than I'd usually phone to register, I thought I'd get it over with and then at least its on file.

OttilieKnackered · 04/06/2021 08:19

@SemiFeralDalek I’m ok thank you. Still pretty anxious but am going to make a really big effort not to doom-google.

Symptoms still pretty limited to big/sore boobs. I am sleeping badly but not sure how much that is down to the heat (and a restless partner!)

Actually another ‘symptom’ is definitely long/intense dreams. I normally don’t remember any, but currently I am having and remembering at least one very clearly per night!

Smeed · 04/06/2021 08:37

Your GP can prescribe anti sickness medication if you're really struggling with it. I've had to completely change my eating habits because of the nausea, eating little and often seems to help slightly.
WFH has been a godsend for me too!

EsseKey · 04/06/2021 08:45

@SemiFeralDalek so pleased to hear that your left side pain has calmed down! Fingers crossed it was nothing!
I convinced myself that I had an ectopic last week, because the little cramps/twinges I feel were mostly on my left side...but I realised that if I stopped thinking about it, I didn't have them anymore. So weird...

Still not many symptoms for me today, definitely my nipples are sore and maybe a little bit my boobs too...but they are not bigger or "harder" as they have been other times during PMS/pregnancy...
I am constantly sleepy a part from a few hours in the morning - and I am not really hungry at any times but when I decide to eat then I could eat literally anything I have in front of me Grin

SukiHenny · 04/06/2021 13:10

On eating and drinking, I'm noticing some subtle but significant stuff. I'm much less interested in sweet things, but salty is VERY interesting. Also satsumas. If someone put a bowl of satsumas and a bag of M&S Party Mix in front of me, I'd hoover them up no problem, any time of day, multiple times a day. Also drinking more water, which I usually feel a bit "meh" about.

Well done to those on here managing anxiety about unusual tweaks and twinges. It's a whole new landscape of body feeling, even when these things are smallish.

Jonesy88 · 04/06/2021 13:25

Hope everyone is doing well. I second drinking water but still don’t have any symptoms really. I felt slightly queasy this morning, but I’m not sure if it’s more my brain telling me this is what I should be feeling rather than anything concrete.

On another note, has anyone downloaded any pregnancy apps or have any to recommend?

SukiHenny · 04/06/2021 13:29

@Jonesy88 I'm quite enjoying the info and 'size of your baby using fruit' on the What to Expect app. I'm in Week 8 = raspberry!

wheresmywand · 04/06/2021 14:35

I'm due around 21st January and this is my third pregnancy. My eldest son is 18 and we lost our 15 year old son to cancer earlier this year. I'm 44, so wasn't expecting this to happen. Very worried about miscarrying / potential problems.

Welcome. I am so, so sorry about your boy. I have lost a baby son but I cannot even imagine the hell and grief you are going through with the loss of your beautiful boy. All my love and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy for you xxx

Hi! I am 37, this is my first pregnancy and I hit 6 weeks today. It's been an exhausting 2 year battle with infertility that led to a laparoscopy surgery in March 2021 to remove endometriosis. I'm feeling good so far although symptoms are getting stronger every day. Like everyone I am terrified of losing the embryo and am due late January 2022.
