"Zero signs of anything happening, no show, no pains except for some odd cramps which I think were more bowel related! " Not sure if this is the case but plenty of sudden bowel movements can be a sign labour is near. Not the nicest sign to contend with but a potential sign nonetheless!
Congratulations to all the recent birth announcements
I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow, so not overdue but I'm getting VERY impatient now. DS1 was born at 38+6 so I'd gotten it into my head/ really hoped that this little one would be a tad bit sooner.
@sweetpea12 It's really up to you what you dress your baby in. Unless wildly inappropriate, I don't think the hospital will be directing you in that respect. It will also depend on the temperature in the hospital once baby is born so you have to risk assess that yourself. I'd personally pack another romper just in case with newborn socks as a kind of middle ground (important to keep their feet reasonably warm). If you have a straightforward birth, you'll be booted out pretty soon after your baby's arrival anyway. With my first, his going home outfit was the only clothes he needed. He was just in a vest and his hat for a good while (born in the summer of 2018 with an incredibly long heatwave!) Just popped on his sleepsuit when leaving the hospital and even that felt like I was being overly cautious as it was baking!
