Hey ladies, sorry not been on much, haven't wanted to drag anyone down, if anyone's seen my Insta you'll know on Saturday a miscarriage started after spotting from weds, worst was Monday & I think it's nearly over now. I've got the next scan this morning so that's actually good timing to tell me what's/if anything left so I sill update you all then hop off the side car.

DH & I are keen to TTC ASAP though he says if MC happens again he can't do it again for the effects it has on us all. We differ in that opinion as I'm much more on the "I've only just got cycles god Damn it give me a chance 😭" so we'll see. I'm under no illusion it won't fuck me over for months

You ladies are amazing & love you all, give us hope & I'll be around madly chasing that illusive 🌈❀️

DJmum83 · 19/05/2021 09:13

@Minster2012 hope all goes ok at scan and you can start to move forward.
Sending you all the love in the world, you will have your wee rainbow too and it will be even the more special after what yourself and @Sausage1990 have been through.
Take care xx

Sausage1990 · 19/05/2021 10:04

Thanks for the kind messages girls.

@thinkingandblinking your journey is hope for me. I'm so happy for you πŸ’• one day your dream come true will be mine too.

2020mission · 19/05/2021 13:30

@Minster2012 I hope the scan shows all is clear and you can focus on your next cycle. I hope you are also enjoying lots of wine (not with ice cream πŸ˜… ) and soon sex too after having to abstain!

If anyone wants to feel better about how they are feeling during pregnancy, you probably haven't suffered 3 ocular migraines in a week like I have πŸ˜” bloody annoying having headache, no vision and pins and needles up my arm/face. I would normally get only a couple a year maximum so it's a shock to suddenly have them so often.

Minster2012 · 19/05/2021 13:33

So I've had my scan, by Matt. Yep cue DH's face as I confirmed "yes you heard right my foof is gonna be violated by a dude with a dildo cam, you got an issue??" πŸ™„

Matt reported "my uterus is unremarkable"

Thanks. Lining thin and looks like no retained products. He wouldn't comment on if it looked like it was thinking about ovulating but he said the cyst had gone. So it's ok, it's the best of a shitty situation. Back to square one non fluffy 70's bush 🀣I guess.

The nurse however afterwards was LOVELY. She was keen on me not trying for a cycle (yeah we'll ignore that) for dating. But when I said obviously after 3 failed ivfs, 2 early losses & screwed up cycles can j do anything to help she said just keep trying & if I get a BFP take the fragmin (blood thinner straight away), 150mg of aspirin & she'd write to my GP saying I could get an early viability scan at the EPU at 6 weeks. πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ€žπŸ»(my GP said this time "they had to be for people who NEEDED them") and if I get a scan i can get advice from their RMC consultant who should start me on progesterone at that point, which is when he does for ppl anyway, at 6 weeks not at a BFP (it differs between clinics/consultants she said & that's what they do) so I will hopefully be able to get access to that anyway if it's viable.

I mean, if it's not then it would be a 3rd anyway so meh but gotta get to that stage 🌈

Had more tears Cos of course it's the end of this miracle but it was always going to be and it's good my body has coped well

That doesn't sound good @2020mission ouch! All my migraines medication was safe in pregnancy if you take anything? Triptans?

Kirky658 · 19/05/2021 15:16

@minster2012 replied on the other group already but ❀️❀️❀️❀️

2020mission · 19/05/2021 17:57

@Minster2012 so sad to read but it's good to know you've had confirmation that no intervention is needed and that you are good to try again with a guarantee of early scan in future for reassurance! I'm surprised a man is doing vaginal ultrasounds πŸ˜… just assumed it would always be ladies. Take care and hopefully will see you back here soon. No reason why it can't happen again soon and hopefully next time will be the one 🌈

Thinkingandblinking · 19/05/2021 19:04

@Minster2012 surely no uterus is unremarkable....your uterus rocks!!

Plan sounds good for next time, glad they are going to offer you more support, I honestly think it should be offered sooner the whole 3 MC’s rule is bolloxs and blatantly put in place by a boardroom full of men.

Xxx

Justanothercyster · 19/05/2021 19:43

@DJmum83 sorry you're struggling atm, do keep talking to us and your midwife, so important. You're not alone x

@Sausage1990 just so much love to you x

@Minster2012 also replied on the other thread but hugs x

Thanks everybody spoke to midwife today. She is coming out to see me and has referred me to physio.
My first pregnancy I suffered severe SPD I was on crutches and had to wear a massive bandage from my thighs right up to underneath boobs, I never had it with my second and third, but it's looking like it's happening with this 1. I'm gutted if I end up on crutches how do I look after my other 3.
Hopefully it doesn't get as bad as my first.
I had really bad post natal depression with her and I'm scared it's all happening again.
Hopefully not. Will wait and see what happens.

What is happening with everybody else I have lost touch.
I was thinking it would be a good idea if we all wrote what stage we are how many weeks etc and how we are feeling?
Then we can all hopefully keep up with each other,
I'm nearly 18 weeks with my 3rd wee girl my wee boy is totally outnumbered lol especially as his only cousins my brothers kids are 2 girls and they are done.
I'm having a c-section at 37 weeks. Hoping the next 9 weeks go fast then I'm finished work.
Xxx

Kirky658 · 20/05/2021 06:49

@djmum83 great idea. I'm sorry to hear that your struggling and hope that the midwife can help you ❀️

I'm 23 weeks now due 15th September with a little girl, and finishing work 13th August. At the moment I'm feeling very anxious as I started feeling movements at last (i have an anterior placenta) but now she's not wriggling as much as she was, but I'm seeing the midwife this morning for my check up anyway. I'm so excited but also so overwhelmed by everything, so much so I've said to DH I want to buy the rest of the things for baby gradually as I can't cope with buying it all at once. Haven't even discussed a birth plan with the midwife yet but I hoping for a water birth. I found out after my stint in MAU that I am a carry of Strep B so I've got to have IV antibiotics during labour as well so even if I'd wanted a home birth that can't happen now. X

Justanothercyster · 20/05/2021 18:12

I'm 15+5 today and my belly is growing before my eyes haha. No plans to buy anything or really make many plans until after 20 week scan.

@DJmum83 really hope it isn't so bad with this pregnancy for you, glad you spoke to the midwife, they'll look after you x

@Kirky658 sorry you're feeling anxious, totally understandable. How was your appointment this morning?

OP posts:
2020mission · 20/05/2021 18:23

I feel so behind at 8 + 1! I'm currently trying to decide whether to book a private scan for this Saturday now that I can get the Β£45 abdominal one. Or do I just wait out the next 4 weeks? I have my booking appointment at the maternity hospital next Thursday. I think it's different up here in Scotland as I've heard you ladies have forms to fill in advance but I've got nothing. No idea whats going to happen at it and whether I should prepare for blood tests or if that happens at a different appointment.

I'm feeling fine so far except for very low appetite and nausea now and again but never been sick so really can't complain. Maybe I will get worse soon though as they say 9-10 weeks is the peak?

I don't know much about SPD but it sounds awful and I can understand why you're feeling so down @DJmum83 hopefully it will not be as bad as it was before, glad the midwife decided to come out to see you.

Also have to look up Strep B not sure what that is either I immediately thought it was throat related. So many conditions I know nothing about! It's never easy.

2020mission · 20/05/2021 18:24

@Justanothercyster I'll hold off until 20 weeks too before starting to fully plan and buy things too. I'm too scared to commit to anything anytime soon!

Kirky658 · 20/05/2021 18:31

@justanothercyster it went OK this morning thanks lovely. I mentioned to the mw I hadn't been feeling movements as much last 2 days so she listened to her heartbeat, 140 bpm so sounding good. She said 'oh I'm surprised we haven't felt her move yet during this!' which didn't hell with my anxiety tbh! I don't think she listened when I told her I've got an anterior placenta. Anyway she's told me as long as I feel her move once a day till 28 weeks, that's fine. Just had a fizzy pop and she's wriggling away now thank god. She wants me to go for the glucose tolerance test as my parents are both diabetic, and she's going to be keeping a close eye on the strep b situation as well at each appointment. Bump measuring bang on at 23.5 weeks so that's good! Seeing a consultant for the first time next week so will see how that goes πŸ‘

How are you keeping? Xx

lucyrp · 20/05/2021 19:43

I'm 28 weeks on Monday so finally reaching my third and final trimester ! The last few weeks have just felt like waiting and can tell that's all I'm going to be doing from now on. Nursery is basically sorted, have the pram and need to get a car seat and few other bits but I'm sorted. Crazy to think baby could be here in a minimum of 8-10 weeks😱

@Kirky658 weird that they measured your bump at 23 weeks as they don't start that here until at least 28 weeks!

@2020mission totally up to you but for me I was so glad I went for the early scan as I already had to wait 4 weeks from when I found out which felt like an eternity and realistically you could have another 4-6 weeks to wait for your 12 week scan. It was just the piece of mind for me and i would have preferred to know if there was anything wrong sooner rather than later. I didn't have any notes to fill in before my appointment in fact I didn't actually get my notes until I was 16 weeks !🀣

Kirky658 · 20/05/2021 19:49

@lucyrp eeeep 28 weeks that's so exciting! I think they normally start measuring at 25 weeks but as this was my 25 week appt but early she did it today.

@2020mission the early scan for me was the best Β£75 I'd ever spent. It broke up the first 12 weeks and helped to keep me calm x

Justanothercyster · 20/05/2021 20:54

@2020mission I was too impatient to wait haha, do what you feel you can handle. It was lovely seeing little bean on the screen early though for reassurance. Yeah my nausea started at 6 weeks and peaked around 8 but everyone is different, you'll be wishing it away soon no doubt!

@Kirky658 aww glad baby is wriggling again and your apt was ok. My placenta is anterior too so I'm going to be impatiently waiting for movement! She must like pop haha.
I'm ok, feeling the bump grow each day is amazing, loving my new boobs too πŸ˜‚ nausea isn't bad today so enjoying that!

Kirky658 · 20/05/2021 21:03

@justanothercyster glad to hear bump and boobs are growing well 🀣❀️

Funnily enough I've just been sitting waiting for the kicks and BOOM. She started pummelling me, so much so that DH felt one! It was so magical for him to be able to feel it too x

Clairey844 · 20/05/2021 21:36

@DJmum83 glad MW is being helpful 😍, how did it go today when she visited?
Just remember no 2 pregnancies are the same so even if you get the SPD again doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the PND. Sending hugs

I'm just over 30 weeks, due end of July. Have nothing ready but it's all in the loft so not too worried; have a bathroom renovation to finish before we can do dd's room, we can then get all the baby stuff down from the loft. I'm having growth scans (because I'm old and had a form of pre-eclampsia with my first) so have my 32wk one next week, they said baby was estimated at 2lb 9oz at the 28wk one so keen to see how it's looking now-have a feeling it's going to be a fatty πŸ˜‚
Feeling fine bar heartburn at night if I lie too flat and have been wearing my amazing bump support belt thing at night which is like a built in pillow for either side of your bump (stays put unlike a pillow lol) which I had from my first pregnancy and would recommend to anyone.

Loved reading all your updates 😘😘

lucyrp · 21/05/2021 06:06

@Kirky658 it is exciting but also nerve wracking at the same time!😬😬 was looking at coming home outfits yesterday and deciding what I want them to leave the hospital in πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί

My boobs are alresdy leaking clear colostrum so can't wait until I have to start wearing breast pads to contain the leakage πŸ™„

2020mission · 21/05/2021 11:14

I was about to book the early scan for tomorrow but my husband doesn't think we should bother "they're not medical professionals" "they can't change the outcome if it's bad" "you know you are pregnant and don't need to pay for an early scan to confirm" πŸ™„ so I guess I'm waiting another 4 weeks. I don't want to drag him along if he's not wanting it and I don't really fancy it alone.

Kirky658 · 21/05/2021 12:35

@lucyrp omg that's adorable 😍 I didn't even think about coming home outfits, hmmm. Trying not to buy too much as my mum keeps buying stuff bless her, Dad says he will need to take a full time job to pay for all the stuff she keeps buying 🀣 she's just so excited for her first grandchild. Oh god the leaky boobs, got that to look forward to I guess!

@2020mission that's a shame. I would just point out to DH that they are heavily regulated and have to have certified sonographers performing the scans so they aren't NHS professionals but I found with mine she was so thorough, she even checked for signs of regrowth of my endometriosis and for cysts at 7 week scan as well. I understand his thoughts about it not changing the outcome etc but I felt it would be better to know so you can put your mind at rest. You've got to make the decision together though, the first of many before baby comes along πŸ˜‰β€οΈ

lucyrp · 21/05/2021 12:45

@2020mission at mine she took pictures of my ovaries etc and checked all of the other parts she needed too. Personally I would rather know I wasn't pregnant at 8 weeks than have to wait until 12 weeks to then be told bad news then if I could have found out earlier.

@Kirky658 I bought a lovely little cardigan from marks and Spencer stripy with a hood with ears and it's so cute and will go lovely with w sleep suit and a blanket we have bought πŸ₯Ί

Kirky658 · 21/05/2021 12:51

@lucyrp omg 😍 can't wait to see it. We've just been invited round to our neighbours to meet their little boy, he's 2 weeks old now and weights 4lb 12oz bless him he's such a little dot. Can't wait for baby snuggles but a bit worried it will feel very real as we will have one to look after in a not so long period of time! Xx
