Welcome @Crazydoglady123 nice to have you here :)
I'm anterior, I felt the tiniest tapping around 17 weeks but only after around 22 weeks did I feel "proper" kicks. Now bub won't stop beating me up!

Welcome @Crazydoglady123 xx

Sorry I need a rant, I just can’t get out of this funk! It’s so frustrating I know I am being a nightmare but can’t stop being negative and anxious, I am just finding it all physically and emotionally draining 😞

Kirky658 · 22/08/2021 22:58

@crazydoglady123 yep I had an anterior placenta too. I felt 'bubbles' about 20 weeks in and full on movements from maybe 23 weeks or so, and proper kicks 25 weeks or so onwards xx

Kirky658 · 22/08/2021 23:00

Also we have BIG news.. Alice is off all her monitoring now so we've been given a room like a hotel room at the hospital so we can get used to time together as a family! It's so cool and it's so lovely to be properly together at last 😍

becarefuloutthere · 23/08/2021 06:55

@Crazydoglady123 hey πŸ‘‹πŸΎ
Thanks! Thinking beach afternoon today β˜€οΈ
@2020mission defo, been through so much this year, it's nice to finally relax, well sort of...still stressing that I've walked too much n it's upset things. There's a lot of steps here so it feels like I'm hiking πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ I've booked a private scan for 16 weeks now. Telling ppl it's for the sex but it's mainly for more reassurance πŸ™ˆ
@Thinkingandblinking how far gone are you now?
@Kirky658 so happy for you all!! πŸ˜ƒ

Crazydoglady123 · 23/08/2021 09:03

Thanks ladies! I feel like I really need movement to help with my worries over it all. Have my delayed gender scan on Friday and then my 20 week next week and I can feel the anxiety over going for a scan coming back πŸ˜”

@Kirky658 that's brilliant! So excited for you!

@Thinkingandblinking the worry is so hard. I feel you!

@becarefuloutthere I was the same when we went Centre Parcs. I did so much I felt loads of twinges and pulls in my abdomen I was so worried. Have a lovely day at the beach

becarefuloutthere · 23/08/2021 13:30

@Crazydoglady123 I'm glad I'm not the only one, I'm so scared I've dislodged something! πŸ™ˆ scan in just over two weeks tho so hopefully all is fine! The beach was rocky and wild πŸ˜‚ so we didn't stay long. We're at the end of the island known for its sunsets rather than beaches but glad we ventured down there. That was also a trek! I'm glad I wore sturdy sandals and was steady climbing down to get onto the beach.
Is it gender reveal you're doing on Friday? That'll be fun! Hopefully it'll calm you for the 20 week β™₯️

Crazydoglady123 · 23/08/2021 21:11

@becarefuloutthere I'd take any beach atm! Enjoy those sunsets and hope you manage to get some rest!!
Our gender reveal party is on Sunday so have a couple of days to wait after the scan. At least the forecast is looking good though as I have a rodeo bull and bouncy castle booked πŸ˜‚

becarefuloutthere · 23/08/2021 21:38

@Crazydoglady123 thank you 😊
Ah sounds like so much fun!! Will you tell your son then too or does he know already? X

Crazydoglady123 · 23/08/2021 21:41

@becarefuloutthere he already knows but desperate to know whether it's a brother or sister ☺️

becarefuloutthere · 23/08/2021 21:45

@Crazydoglady123 aw I bet! I'm sure he'll be a great big bro no matter what! 😊

lucyrp · 24/08/2021 12:20

Hi Ladies , haven't caught up yet but just wanted to pop on and say I gave birth at 4:27am this morning to a little girl Evelyn Rose after labour only starting at 10:26pm last night, was very quick and by the time I got to the MLU at 2am was already 7cm dilated. I actually got the birth I wanted and had a very positive experience πŸ₯°πŸ₯° can't believe she's finally here.

2020mission · 24/08/2021 12:26

aww yay @lucyrp so glad she's finally here and lovely news that it's a little girl so you now have one of each πŸ˜ƒ adorable! Take it easy and catch up with us all once you've had some good family time and rest.

Kirky658 · 24/08/2021 12:49

@lucyrp awwww she's gorgeous, congratulationsxxx

Haiyaa · 24/08/2021 13:14

Wow that’s amazing @lucyrp, well done! She’s adorable πŸ₯°

Good to see you on here @Crazydoglady123! Hope the scan isn’t too nerve wracking for you, I know with everything that has happened you must be so anxious but we are here to cheer you on!

That’s great news on little Alice @Kirky658, hope she is continuing to get nice and chunky so you can take her home.

Gem176 · 24/08/2021 15:10

Ahhhhhh @lucyrp she's gorgeous!! Huge congratulations!!! You got your girl πŸ₯³ absolutely delighted for you ❀️

Kate105 · 24/08/2021 16:26

Ahhh congratulations @lucyrp love the name! She looks gorgeous πŸ₯°

I had a growth scan today because my fundal height jumped up all of a sudden... Very blasΓ© sonographer announced that baby weighs about 6lb5 now. At 35 weeks πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ I'm going to birth a toddler...!

DJmum83 · 24/08/2021 19:53

@lucyrp aww massive congratulations on your baby girl I love her name.

@Kirky658 how's things going? How's Alice doing? Hope your getting to spend lots of time with her.

Welcome any newbies.

I'm nearly 32 weeks now she is measuring pretty big above 97th centile πŸ™ˆ I'm getting a section in 5 or so weeks should get my official date tomorrow once consultant gets back to me.
Very ready for this to be over.

How is everybody else doing xx

Kirky658 · 24/08/2021 19:57

@djmum83 so weird as I was just about to add an update haha!

So we saw her consultant this morning, and basically she's still a bit jaundiced but only just so they arent putting her under the light, just getting some bloods to rule out other things just in case but apparnently it is so normal in preemies and when you're breastfeeding it can last up to 3 weeks. She needs to have put a decent amount of weight on but they're hopefully looking to have her home by the weekend 🀞

We've just been told her urine is clear, and that her bilirubin Levels has dropped from 15 below to 25 below today which is fab news xxx

2020mission · 25/08/2021 01:29

Brilliant news @Kirky658 keeping my fingers crossed for you both for the weekend release 🀞 I hope you've managed to get some rest after your C section and the pre-eclampsia in preparation for her getting home. Still can't believe how quickly that all happened!

@Justanothercyster I've given in with the belly bar and it's out now at 22 weeks πŸ˜… so you got further than me! It was getting sore over the last couple of days and I can see the belly button starting to pop out. Is your piercing hole still there?

Will be interesting to hear if Lucy had her sweep on Monday and it brought on labour or if it just happened by coincidence.

While I'm here and now I'm looking at buying things since I'm reaching month 5, has anyone got any pram recommendations? All I know is we need don't need all terrain as we will mostly be walking around pavements and park paths while we are still in the city and ideally it will fold up compact too. Not bothered about a car seat compatible one as it's not recommended to keep them in a car seat anyway.

Justanothercyster · 25/08/2021 07:45

@lucyrp awww yay!! Congrats! She's gorgeous, I genuinely thought you would have a boy haha so happy you got your girlπŸ’•πŸŽ€

@DJmum83 @Kate105 im also measure in the highest percentile for fundal height but MW said not to worry as it's inaccurate, hoping I don't follow in the family genes with a massive baby πŸ˜‚ we've got a 4d scan booked for tomorrow so I suppose we'll find out!

@Kirky658 Thats great news! Keeping everything crossed you can all be home together in the next few days 🀞🏼

@2020mission aww haha, it does become a pain. No way mine would stay in by now! My hole is still there and open as normal, I just pop the bar through every few days but because I've had it so many years I think it'll be fine.
I can't recommend Nuna Mixx pram enough, not extortionate in price and lightweight and folds well. We went for the Mixx Next which folds a bit more compact. Looks pretty too x

Kate105 · 25/08/2021 08:44

My fundal height has massively jumped up which is the weird thing, up until now I'd been measuring on the small side! No idea what's going on πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I've gone from consistent 30th percentile up to 90th in a week?!

lucyrp · 25/08/2021 08:58

@2020mission it's going to take a long time for it to sink in that she's a little girl! Seeing pink around the house is very strange!πŸ™ˆloving it though

@Kirky658 thank you, hope you and Alice are well xxx

@Haiyaa thank you , she's so pretty πŸ₯°

@Gem176 I know who would have thought it! My friend brought some girls clothes round for me last night from her little girl as I obviously have a lot of boys stuff πŸ™ˆ

@DJmum83 @Kate105 Thanks ladies, Evelyn is after OH nan and Rose after my nan who lived to 100! πŸ₯°

@Justanothercyster the nub theory was right for me all along which is mad! They all said girl on there for both scans but I didn't believe it πŸ˜…

lucyrp · 25/08/2021 08:59

@Kate105 are they going to do a GTT for you ? X

Kate105 · 25/08/2021 09:09

No idea @lucyrp I've got another midwife appointment next week so I guess I'll see what they say there. I've had no symptoms or any kind of risk factors up until now though. Hoping it's just a massive growth spurt and it'll even out again over the next couple of weeks!
