Been off social media for a while as I'm trying to manage my anxiety in these early weeks. Feeling rubbish in this first trimester (although not actually being sick) and now have cold symptoms.

@Sausage1990 so sorry to hear your news. I hope your recovery goes well, that it helps you find some answers and know that your rainbow will happen 🌈

2020mission · 11/05/2021 18:18

@Minster2012 will be thinking of you tomorrow morning🀞we need happy news here only now!

Feeling less annoyed with my old childhood best friend's news now πŸ˜… it's the fact that will be 3 kids under 4 she'll have and so it just seems to come so easily to her. She's got 2 boys so she's probably having another hoping for her girl.

Kate105 · 11/05/2021 19:39

Good luck tomorrow @Minster2012 it's my 20 weeks scan tomorrow so will be thinking of you! It is true that a lot can change quickly with dates for early scans.

I had to have an early viability scan because of my previous ectopic, and I measured bang on my dates then (about 7 weeks). The nurse did say that it would be + or - 5 days either side of that because the earlier the pregnancy the more variation in size, and it's only once you get nearer to 12 weeks that they can date with any accuracy.

Also I was then brought forward by 5 days at my 12 week scan, so either I was 5 days out at the early scan or I have a humongous devil child growing inside me or it's grown a bit since!

SamoyedFan123 · 11/05/2021 20:33

SamoyedFan123 · 11/05/2021 20:52

Good luck today all who are having scans - fingers crossed xxx

Kirky658 · 12/05/2021 10:00

@kate105 good luck for your scan tomorrow! So you're only 2 weeks behind me 😁 enjoy the whooping cough haha my arm killed for days x

@minster2012 everything crossed for you this morning babe. X

I'm still on the fence with the vaccine really unsure whether to risk it or not. I'm going to chat to my midwife next week and ask her. My reasoning is as I'm in my 20s I will likely be one of the last to be offered it anyway so it won't be too long before baby comes in September. But I'm well aware of the risks of catching covid in the 3rd trimester. It's a minefield isn't it.

Justanothercyster · 12/05/2021 10:21

@Kate105 I've just been told that they're offering teachers in our school a vaccine but I don't know what to do. The midwife told me not to but what are your thoughts on it? @Kirky658

Anyone else?

@Minster2012 good luck gorgeous πŸ€žπŸΌπŸŒˆπŸ’•

I think I’m definitely going to get the vaccine but will hold off til the second trimester.
It’s probably already been discussed but any tiredness tips? I feel weak and lethargic and blarghhh. Wouldn’t mind if I was off work but there’s so much on at the moment and while I’m lucky I can wfh in a way it’s making it worse as I do a couple of hours then head upstairs for a lie down! I don’t even necessarily want to sleep I just want to be horizontal at all times. My exercise routine has gone completely out the window but tbh I can cope with that, it’s more the idea of work. I just can’t concentrate and it’s taking me ages to do little tasks. Anyone else? :(

Kirky658 · 12/05/2021 10:27

@justanothercyster I'm going to see my midwife next week and discuss it with her. I'm really unsure what to do because I can pretty much keep myself away from people at the moment and for the foreseeable, and infection rates are low. DH is a teacher so that's another consideration don't want him bringing it home but again he wil be 30 next month so not likely to be offered it till July ish in which time he will be finished for the summer!
