@lucyrp I'm just so pleased for you, enjoy having a pink bundle, they are absolutely delicious!! Even if, as is the case with me, they only stay "girly" for the first year then go feral π hard to believe that our babies are only going to be a week apart!! My hormones are all over the place and I'm actually getting really emotional because I can remember congratulating you on your BFP and now she's actually here π₯²
@Kate105 don't quote me but I think fundal height can be affected by babies position so an out of line massive jump may just have been how they were lying that particular time?
@2020mission @Justanothercyster I'm 36 weeks now and while my belly button hasn't popped to an outie yet (I had an op on it years ago and it was stitched so I'm not sure it can ever become an outie) I have both holes of my piercing now above my belly button. It looks really odd π€£
On the pram front I was going to say Nuna mixx or an uppababy. I loved both when looking online and got to see both in store. We went with the uppababy vista v2 but there is a Cruz that's slightly smaller and probably more suited to town/city life. OH loves gadgety things and the uppababy won purely because it had some features the nuna didn't that he liked and he felt it was more sturdy and with living rural it made sense. It's almost a mile to the road for DDs school bus each morning if I can't drive for the full six weeks after my section and even if I can drive I'll probably walk it just to get baby off for a nap/out for fresh air.... the road isn't exactly pavement smooth π
Having a wee freak out today because it's only 6 days until my section, can't get my head around that the wriggles in my stomach are an actual fully formed baby. That she has finger nails and hair and is an actual baby!
Decided against the steroids as there are risks to them because I have type 1, consultant fully supports this decision as they only know that steroids benefit healthy pregnant women by decreasing the risk of transient tachypnoea of the newborn from 6% to 2% but they haven't done any studies on the increased risk of newborn hypoglycaemia for mums who have diabetes and take the steroids. At 37 weeks the steroids would eliminate any mild, temporary breathing issues but anything serious or long term is still going to be there with or without steroids. Without diabetes it would have been a no brainer to take them as there isn't any risk but a fairly decent positive. Sadly for me the positives don't outweigh the negatives of these as newborn hypoglycaemia is really rough and requires scbu care, sometimes for weeks and can exacerbate jaundice and cause them to struggle with temperature regulation. Sorry for waffling there π this has just caused me so much stress over the last few weeks!!
