@Kirky658 how come you don't think you'll be offered it until then ?? Mostly everyone I work with has been vaccinated and our ages range between 20-31

TTCAbroad · 12/05/2021 10:49

@Asthenia no great tips regarding tiredness. Sleep/rest whenever you can, try and eat consistently, and don’t worry about things that fall by the wayside like exercise and cleaning. Though I did find that just sitting outside in fresh air helped me out a little.

I think I posted about this a little while ago but I’ve decided to get the vaccine and will be about 22wks. So far I’ve consulted with an obstetrician, a paediatrician, an anaesthesiologist, someone who worked on the development of the AZ vaccine and an emergency doctor (overboard much πŸ˜…)and they have all said the known risks are significant enough that they recommend it. Everyone admitted that there is the risk of the unknown but as far as anyone can tell, at this point, there shouldn’t be any adverse effects to baby.

Kirky658 · 12/05/2021 11:06

@lucyrp wonder if it is different in Wales. I know in England they've just started offering to the over 40s. So timeline projected July at the earliest. Have you had yours? x

2020mission · 12/05/2021 11:41

@Asthenia how much sleep are you getting each night? I'm lucky enough to not be feeling too tired but I'm getting a good 8 hours each night which helps! It's my stomach that's the annoyance right now. I have no appetite but it's constantly gurgling like it's empty making me feel queasy. It improves a bit once I've managed to force down some lunch and go for a walk outside. I can't face my usual decaf lattes right now either only drinking water and ginger tea.

Really hope @Minster2012 got good news this morning!

lucyrp · 12/05/2021 12:29

@Kirky658 no i was invited to go last Wednesday but declined. She did say it would definitely be Pfizer if I went for it and that was supposed to be fine but I decided against it. Just jot something I want to risk really. Most people around me have been vaccinated already including parents, grandparents, friends, work colleagues etc. X

Sausage1990 · 12/05/2021 12:31

@lucyrp @kirky685 yeah I think Wales are ahead in our vaccine schedule. A lot if 20-35yr olds are getting vaccines now. Lots of my friends are, we're a smaller country too.

So I got a gut punch this lunch time, psot man came with my my 12 week dating scan appointment πŸ’”πŸ˜ the system clearly hasn't been updated. Horrible to get that today, the day before I have my surgery. Absolutely gutted.

SamoyedFan123 · 12/05/2021 12:32

Re. They vaccine chat I had mine at 29 weeks. As has been said the risks of Covid in third trimester are higher than I was comfortable with, especially since I caught it in the first trimester and it was bad enough then! Definitely don't want it again. I would however not have it until well into the second trimester at the earliest. I'm in wales and we are definitely much further ahead than England with vaccinations.

@Minster2012 and @Kate105 thinking of you both today xxx

I've had my 31 week MW appt. and just been to pregnancy yoga this morning so worn out already today.

lucyrp · 12/05/2021 12:33

@Sausage1990 one of my friends who's just turned 20 last month had already had her first! Madness that we're going so quickly. Oh no that's horrible 😩 sending lots of hugs. Definitely think you've opted for the right option though being the surgery. Just look after yourself xxx

Asthenia · 12/05/2021 12:43

@2020mission a good 8-9 hours (conking out at 9pm) but I’m not necessarily sleepy during the day, my body just feels tired and lethargic! Ah well, hopefully short lived.

@Sausage1990 ah I’m so sorry, what a kick in the teeth that you absolutely don’t need right now. I hope you are as ok as can be.Flowers

Kirky658 · 12/05/2021 12:51

@sausage1990 oh babe I'm so sorry you had to get that. What horrendous timing. Hope you're doing as OK as can be expected. ❀️😘

Minster2012 · 12/05/2021 14:36

Sorry ladies been a while.

Didn’t even see a nurse til 12, appointment 11am, then she said I shouldn’t have been told to come in today it should have been 2 weeks and they might not scan me but they did, I think it was only when I burst into tears.

not good news, she said β€œI need to write down POSSIBLE failed pregnancy but it’s unlikely to be otherwise basically.

Still only a Gestational sac nothing inside
Growth from 7.6mm to 11mm so gone from around 5 weeks to 5.2, so suboptimal growth should be 1mm per day (it’s been 10 days)

So everything she said was basically expect a failed pregnancy

Back next weds where they can be definitive from the first one to then under their guidelines, she said she’d maybe seen 2/3 ladies in her 6 years that have gone on to have a viable pregnancy.

Its basically a no go but she said β€œbecause it’s not done in line with the guidelines (14 days) and there is some growth albeit not much we have to be sure” which I want too but everything she was saying was not to expect miracles.

Devastated. Both of us, empty (well my uterus is likely more empty than his)

I've pasted this across both threads, the other as well, apologies

Minster2012 · 12/05/2021 14:37

And so sorry about the scan date @Sausage1990 much love

2020mission · 12/05/2021 15:48

@Minster2012 πŸ₯Ί that must be so hard knowing baby has grown but just not as much as expected. I know it's a slim chance but I really hope you get another miracle and growth continues! Must be so upsetting having to wait even longer to know for sure. Whatever happens you conceived naturally and that's been amazing and so we all know you can conceive again! It's just so cruel that anyone has to go through this twice. I feel fortunate now that my chemicals ended so quickly as the more days that pass the harder it is. We're all here for you πŸ’•

Kirky658 · 12/05/2021 15:50

@minster2012 oh love. I'm so sorry to read your update. Sending so much love and hugs, that is so unfair. I hope next week brings a lovely surprise ❀️ xxx

Katiekattty · 12/05/2021 16:07

Oh @Minster2012 I’m devastated for you. I’m so sorry, wishing you a miracle.

SamoyedFan123 · 12/05/2021 16:24

@minster2012 oh hun I'm so, so sorry, my heart is breaking for you. I'm praying that you are one of the miracle few when you go back next week, but completed understand that you need to do what you need to to prepare for the worst now ❀️

@Sausage1990 I'm sorry you've had a shitty time today too - it's awful that they don't update their records quickly to prevent distressing things like this happening.

Katiekattty · 12/05/2021 16:32

Oh @Minster2012 I’m devastated for you. I’m so sorry, wishing you a miracle.

Sausage1990 · 12/05/2021 16:33

@minster2012 oh darling girl I'm so sorry. There's nothing I can say. I hope for a miracle for you but I know you're preparing for the worst. Sending so much love. πŸ’• Know you're not alone in this πŸ’”

Thinkingandblinking · 12/05/2021 17:13

@Minster2012 I’m so sorry for what your going through, I hope they were kind at the hospital, I’m sorry you have to wait another week to know for sure, take care lovely xxx

Justanothercyster · 12/05/2021 17:48

@Sausage1990 sorry about your scan letter, that truly sucks πŸ’”

@Minster2012 I'm so sorry! What crappy news, but like someone else has said you did it naturally and there is still some hope. I really have everything crossed and am praying to the baby dust gods that bean pulls through 🀞🏼✨

Minster2012 · 12/05/2021 17:59

Thank you so so much ladies, πŸ’“πŸŒˆβ€οΈ
I can feel the love so much, they were very kind @Thinkingandblinking

We've had a good cry, hugged and kissed and taken the dogs for another lovely walk in the sunshine before DH & I retired for a bath together, I have had one glass of normal wine then sent DH off to get more non alcoholic so I don't drink the bottle as he's away tomorrow/Friday/sat, there is the smallest sliver of hope but I'm realistic

@Sausage1990 im hoping they can do the same as you and test but unsure as I was in a different hospital last year, my oncology one, but I've followed your self care lead, got a big kids onesie one and washed my hair (@lucyrp that stuff is lovely!)

I need to cancel my private scan which is Sunday (I could have moved it), need to speak to midwife as booking in app next Monday so no point that going ahead now unless it might help me with the MC's maybe

Gonna throw myself into to trying to sell the house, it's still not on the open market so might lie low a bit

But love to you all ❀️

Minster2012 · 12/05/2021 20:15

And now I'm spotting/wiping red. Nothing like getting my hopes up for the scan then going in for the kill
