@samoyedfan123 oh hun how bloody frustrating, you've every right to be upset about it. Fingers crossed baby behaves over the weekend!

@missgoldilocks lovely pic, you look amazing and so summery! Ps love the slippers πŸ˜‰

So a bit of scary news here today, my friend who's 31 weeks has had her baby boy today!! She had some spotting the other night and went into mau, they sent her home then her waters went, they gave her the injections and all looked OK but they kept her in. Then this morning she had what she described as tightening rather than contractions. Baby was distressed so they prepped her for c section. By the time her hubby got there she was in labour and within 15 mins she'd given birth!!! Baby appears to be well, not sure of the weight yet, but is in NICU being taken care of.

Terrifying to think that's only 3 weeks in front of me!!!

Kate105 · 24/06/2021 18:17

Omg @Kirky658 that is really scary! Glad everyone is ok though!

2020mission · 24/06/2021 18:36

Oh jeez @Kirky658 I wonder why that happened? I read somewhere that 95% of babies born after 30 weeks will survive so I'm sure all will be fine with good neonatal care but what a shock!

Kirky658 · 24/06/2021 18:46

@kate105 @2020mission I know right, scary times. I'm worrying myself stupid now because my bump is really aching ( I think I'm just hungry). I guess her body was just ready for him to come out! She was having growth scans as his head was too small and he has a high risk of abnormalities.

lucyrp · 24/06/2021 19:40

@SamoyedFan123 hopefully they'll agree to an ECV for you but try not to stress if not. Surely if they can't do an ECV they won't leave you much longer anyway ??

@Justanothercyster I will say they are very handy!

@Kirky658 omg this just makes me think I better back my hospital bag ASAP! Our car seat arrived today so at least that's something πŸ˜…

SamoyedFan123 · 24/06/2021 20:12

@Kirky658 how scary for your friend, and for you! I hope they're all doing well. My twins came with a nasty shock shock at 33+5 and that was bad enough.

@lucyrp if I can't get an ECV this week then my options are to wait it out (either for baby to turn himself so we can induce, or for labour to start naturally and have a vaginal breech birth, which apparently has a good chance of being okay with they or if breech my baby is) or to book a c section which is just not an option for me unless an absolute last resort, baby is at risk type situation.
So I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that baby either turns back this weekend or a doctor comes back to us happy to do the ECV next week. My consultant said he'll call me on Saturday to let me know. If that doesn't happen guess I'll be waiting it out for a while and going baby doesn't get too much bigger.

Sorry for all the moaning today ladies - i really needed somewhere to vent!

Kirky658 · 24/06/2021 20:17

@lucyrp tell me about it!!! I'd hardly thought about packing my bag but think I'll start at 30 weeks now.

@samoyedfan123 far as I know mum and baby are doing OK, she can go down to NICU and see him when she likes but her DH can only visit between 1730 and 1930.

I am worried about my pain... It's like under my boobs like a stretchy achy pain. It's gone off a little now I've eaten but still there. Wonder if I've done too much today...

lucyrp · 24/06/2021 20:18

@SamoyedFan123 oh how come C section is off the list completely ?? Just preference ? X

Justanothercyster · 24/06/2021 21:55

@Kirky658 oh no! Yes better to be ready early I reckon, hopefully our bubba's will stay put as long as necessary 🀞🏼as for pain, try not to worry as I hear it's quite common in the 3rd trimester.

@lucyrp we went for the Maxi Cosi pebble in the end, fits with our pram etc πŸ‘πŸ»

@SamoyedFan123 well fingers crossed for you and bub, you'll get to meet them soon πŸ’•

SamoyedFan123 · 24/06/2021 22:14

@kirky658 is it a kind of tight feeling pain and really hard under your ribs if you put your hand there? That's the pain i get when he's breech - it's very uncomfortable. Also if you try to bend over you can feel the head getting in your way just under your ribs. Just a thought that maybe you have a breech baby on board too?

@lucyrp my last c section was the most horrific experience of my life (and almost killed me). I was in excruciating pain abd could barely walk for about 6 weeks afterwards. I needed morphine for a week and had an awful high temperature ask the time because of the pain. My body doesn't respond to the drugs they use to shrink the uterus back down and stop the bleeding so I have to have balloons and uterine/ vaginal packing and a horrible drain fitted. I alai had PTSD and months off therapy after it. I have never been able to look at or touch my scar in the two years since. I can't imagine voluntarily putting myself through that - my mental health wouldn't be able to take the wait. Sorry if this sounds pathetic but it was truly horrifying at the time. I was (and still am), irrationally angry at my body for making me have to go through that. Now I feel irrationally angry at this baby for putting us at risk of it again. I'm sure that must make me a horrible person but it's just how I feel at the moment.

lucyrp · 24/06/2021 22:17

@SamoyedFan123 oh no that sounds horrible, sorry I asked and made you think about it all again. Surprised but lucky that they are allowing a Vbac for you! Fingers crossed they turn again. I've heard that scrubbing your floor on hands and knees can turn them πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€£

@Justanothercyster lovely! Looks so cute

SamoyedFan123 · 24/06/2021 22:18

Also, I meant to add that I had problems with milk supply after which I dread happening again, and I'm petrified of the epidural. Even down to the damn cannula that almost ruptured the veins in my hand last time until I begged to have it removed - literally everything about the procedure abd the aftermath scares me. I can't imagine looking after twin toddlers during that recovery.

SamoyedFan123 · 24/06/2021 22:38

@lucyrp don't worry about it - I've thought of little else all afternoon anyway! I have some exercises that are supposed to encourage turning so going to keep trying them and hope for the best 🀞

Clairey844 · 25/06/2021 14:11

Had a growth scan this morning and estimated weight is 6lb 15oz already 😬😬
I'm 35+3 and it's his or her tummy that is fat-over the 99th centile πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Other than that all good x

SamoyedFan123 · 25/06/2021 14:42

@Clairey844 glad you had a good scan 😊 if it helps you feel better mine was measuring 8lb 8oz at 35 +4 scan. He's large so over though. Seems to have slowed a little now thank goodness as was 9lb 5oz at 37+4 yesterday.

Clairey844 · 25/06/2021 14:51

@SamoyedFan123 crikey πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Kirky658 · 25/06/2021 15:59

@clairey844 @samoyedfan123 least you both know you've got strong babies ready to take on the world 😘❀️

Justanothercyster · 25/06/2021 16:10

I echo @Kirky658, @Clairey844 @SamoyedFan123 strong little ones and regardless of delivery, not long to go now!
@SamoyedFan123 sorry you had to go through that and that it still affects you, not pathetic at all, you're super strong for managing through it and for being able to open up about it x

How's everyone getting on ladies?

OP posts:
Haiyaa · 28/06/2021 10:36

Hi ladies, made it past the 6 week mark which is when I mc last time and think I will finally jump on to the grad bus as I don’t want to bombard the ttc bus with pregnancy stuff. Still very worried that it might not go to plan but at least I seem to have a lot of HCG as my sickness is much worse than with DD, so as much as I hate it, it’s a little bit reassuring although I know it doesn’t always make a difference.

Tired, sore boobs and pretty sure I already have pgp as when I move/turn in bed etc I sometimes get sharp pains in my pelvis. They ease off after a minute or two but not got for my paranoia!

Can’t believe there are going to be some babies on this thread imminently!

SamoyedFan123 · 28/06/2021 10:44

Welcome and congrats @Haiyaa. I was a lurker on the other bus but never joined as I was already pregnant, hopped on this one instead! Sorry to hear you're feeling so rough, but as you say it is at least reassuring.

Update from me - I've managed to get an ECV booked for tomorrow and will go straight into induction after if it's successful. If not I'll come home and wait for natural labour and possible breech delivery (provided nothing goes wrong ofc!) I actually feel like baby has moved again now - I'm pretty sure he was transverse last night and don't feel like he's breech this morning. Hopefully if he's transverse thar will make it easier to turn him 🀞🀞🀞

Hope everyone else is doing OK xxx

2020mission · 28/06/2021 10:56

@Justanothercyster all good here... for the first time ever I woke up without a flat stomach this morning so I think I've finally popped! I just look bloated but the belly feels hard. I think I'm going to struggle with this stage just looking a bit fat on the belly rather than obviously pregnant πŸ˜… I've got heartburn coming and going now but otherwise feeling fine. Still no letter through with the NT screening results yet and it's been a week and a half. No news is good news right? Everything ok with you?

Welcome @Haiyaa I was the same and reluctant to join in until around 6 weeks after the chemicals I had before. You're definitely in a much better place once reaching 6 weeks πŸ˜ƒ yeah it feels like yesterday that a couple of the ladies here were announcing their BFP but it's almost the due date πŸŽ‰

Justanothercyster · 28/06/2021 13:05

@Haiyaa yay welcome! What's pgp? That sounds like what I experience too... onwards and upwards with your pregnancy this time around x

@SamoyedFan123 that's so exciting!! I really hope it all works out how you need it to tomorrow x

@2020mission aww it's so exciting when that happens, but yes I understand the feeling fat stage haha. I still think I just look fat although people say it's a definitely obvious bump now. I think no news is good news, I'm sure all will be fine x

OP posts:
lucyrp · 28/06/2021 14:30

I'm doing okay, could only have 4 weeks left now which is exciting! I got my GTT resukrs back which were negative I'm not sure if I've already said that on here but I did on the main bus so relieved about that πŸŽ‰

@SamoyedFan123 yaaaay to the ECV πŸ₯³πŸ₯³
