Hiya Everyone

I'm doing ok still have problems with my heart going for 24 hour ecg next week then make a plan.

I'm 23 weeks. So 14 weeks to go.
I'm finishing work in 4 weeks.
Cannot wait.

I have a growth scan in august.

@SamoyedFan123 Goodluck hope it goes well xxx

Kirky658 · 28/06/2021 17:26

@haiyaa welcome!!!
@samoyedfan123 oh that is good news, fingers crossed all goes well.
@djmum83 as if you finish work before me, well jealous. 6 weeks to go for me. Hope your ECG goes OK and you get some answers too.

I also had my GTT back negative thank god. I'm suffering a bit with headaches and an achy bump at the moment. Feels like since I hit the 3rd trimester I've suddenly sloooooooowed down. Bump seems bigger every day. 6 weeks left at work, 5 to go then a week off then my last week mid August. Can't sodding wait.

Scary week - my friend who was 31 weeks last week gave birth last week. Went into prem labour for no reason. Little Harrison is in SCBU but doing OK, he weighed 2lbs 12 oz. X

Justanothercyster · 28/06/2021 17:27

@lucyrp awesome, but what's gtt?

@DJmum83 sorry about heart issues, that truly sucks x

Hello! I'm ok, just starting to slow down a little. Only 3 weeks left at work until the summer holidays though and I am so ready for that! Except I'm not and I have so much to do in those three weeks 😫 27 weeks tomorrow so in touching distance of the dreaded third trimester!

Justanothercyster · 28/06/2021 18:21

@Kate105 ahhh I feel your desperation for the end! We've had Year 7 and Year 12 sent home to isolate today 😫 not long! We can do this!

OP posts:
Kirky658 · 28/06/2021 18:30

@justanothercyster the GTT is a glucose tolerance test to check for gestational diabetes. I was given it as both my parents are diabetic.

Go on to you and to @kate105 only 3 weeks till end of the school year, you got this ladies!

DJmum83 · 28/06/2021 19:12

@Kirky658 I'm a carer in the community so they couldn't find me any work from home so I'm being suspended on full pay until 36 weeks then on holiday until 38 weeks. Then start maternity leave but I'm getting a section at 37/37.5 weeks xx

Kirky658 · 28/06/2021 19:15

@djmum83 ahhhh I got you. Ah that's good at least you have some time to chill at home before baby arrives. ☺️ Almost wish I was having a planned section so I knew when she was going to arrive lol!

Any suggestions for nighties ladies. Struggling to find a maternity one x

Kate105 · 28/06/2021 19:35

Ahhhh @Justanothercyster we've Y9 out at the moment but everyone else hanging on for now...! But we've got every child getting a PCR on Friday due to cases rising in the county so that could be fun 😬

Have you tried Matalan @Kirky658? Or last time I checked ASOS had some nice stuff. Not usually an ASOS shopper but with maternity clothes it seems as if you have to choose between super trendy and super unflattering earth mother tents 🙈

Kate105 · 28/06/2021 19:40

Actually @Kirky658 get yourself onto the Dunnes website! Not sure if they have the shops over here but they definitely deliver to GB... Bloody love Dunnes!

lucyrp · 28/06/2021 19:51

@Justanothercyster glucose tolerance test, its what the test is called to test for gestational diabetes x

@Kirky658 no help sorry I'm still in my pre pregnancy nighties 😂 going to primark on my week off ina. Couple of weeks to get a couple of nighties for giving birth in though

Kiwibabyjourney · 28/06/2021 19:54

Hey all, is it ok if I join?
Got my bfp yesterday (9dpo) 😮😮🎉🎉❤️❤️😁😁 Beyond happy and excited. Nervous too as this is my 1st ever pregnancy, so I may have many questions 🤣🤣

DJmum83 · 28/06/2021 20:29

@Kiwibabyjourney aww congratulations lovely news. Hope it all goes well and welcome as as many questions as you like xxx

@Kirky658 yeah I'm looking forward to finishing.
We have a holiday booked week of 19th really looking forward to getting away xx

Kirky658 · 28/06/2021 20:32

@kate105 think matalan and new look have been my saviours for mat clothes so far! I forgot about matalan this time... Baby brain.
@lucyrp DH just suggested getting some in a size bigger, guess that could work!
@kiwibabyjourney welcome and congrats ❤️

lucyrp · 28/06/2021 20:36

@Kirky658 just bought some from boohoo, button up ones for breastfeeding etc for my hospital bag. Will let you know what they're like when they come tomorrow. Thought I better start hospital bag shopping, just needed a couple of nighties and some big pants 🙈😂 if I remember the nursing tops from H&M were a saviour last time so just ordered a couple of them to check for size first then will order a couple more. Great to sleep in as they have boob support and can pop breast pads in too

Kirky658 · 28/06/2021 20:44

@lucyrp thanks hun that would be great. I'm unsure what kind of knickers to get haha, I'm on my normal everyday ones still and they're starting to get a bit tight... Thinking disposable ones for labour...starting to panic a bit about the hospital bag scenario tbh 🤣

Today's craving = apple crumble. A drive to the co op ensued, home to apple crumble and custard. Happy days.

lucyrp · 28/06/2021 20:45

@Kirky658 this is what I've been looking at 🤣 I bought disposable ones last time and didn't use a single pair, I'm still in thongs at the moment and the thought of actual pants makes me want to cry

SamoyedFan123 · 28/06/2021 20:47

@Kiwibabyjourney welcome and congrats 😊

So the senior sister MW at my antenatal clinic soeny 10 minutes this afternoon trying to pin down baby's position and then gave up after finding in him in 5 student places during that time - apparently he is literally still doing cartwheels which is crazy at over 38 weeks. God knows what is going to happen at the ECV tomorrow 🤔 I've been told that as its done in a delivery suite my DH is asked to come with me for it so that's a relief 😊 going in at 2pm 🤞🤞🤞 I've just set up our next2me crib ❤️

SamoyedFan123 · 28/06/2021 20:48

OMG bloody auto correct!
Spent * not soeny
Different * not student!

2020mission · 28/06/2021 20:51

@lucyrp at first glance on the app I thought you were sharing a snap of yourself in knickers there 🤣

Kirky658 · 28/06/2021 20:51

@lucyrp they're actually really pretty ❤️. I feel sorry for my DH as I only wear thongs on special occasions 😂

@samoyedfan123 hehe sounds like little man is excited to meet his mummy and daddy! Midwife couldn't find my girl's head last week which was reassuring 😂

2020mission · 28/06/2021 20:53

@Kirky658 I never wear thongs so your husband is getting better than mines 😅 although I wear lace briefs every day so it's not all bad for him. Hoping to keep wearing my usual lace briefs throughout.

Justanothercyster · 28/06/2021 21:18

@Kate105 that's so good! I wish we could do that too. Our cases are getting higher and higher now 😫

@lucyrp ahhh I get ya now. That's good it came back negative!

@Kiwibabyjourney aww congrats and welcome 🎉 hope all goes well until your scan. How long were you ttc for?

@SamoyedFan123 omg that's so exciting! It's happening!!

Haha I'm same as @2020mission, can't stand thongs. I'm such a Bridget Jones granny pants girl, even they give me wedgies 😂 @Kirky658

On the mat clothes, I've ordered from PatPat. From China so probably not the best but very cheap and came quickly, everything I've ordered so far has been great. Just in case anyone wants some clothes on a budget x

Haiyaa · 28/06/2021 21:34

OMG @SamoyedFan123 you must be so uncomfortable with such a wriggly baby! Hope it all goes well tomorrow!

@Kirky658 last time I just got some nighties from primark in a bigger size. Not flattering but cheap and did the job although I think Gap has some nice maternity ones, so might treat myself this time around.

@Kiwibabyjourney congratulations, how are you feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@Justanothercyster pgp is pelvic girdle pain. It’s not supposed to be anything to worry about but it is bloody painful!

Kiwibabyjourney · 28/06/2021 21:37

@DJmum83 @Kirky658 @SamoyedFan123 @Justanothercyster thank you!! Keeping everything crossed it will stick 🤞🤞❤️❤️

This was our 2nd month TTC, still so surprised it happened so quickly. Very lucky!
