Omg as if @Kirky658 what a joke! Definitely fills you with confidence there...

Nearly there @2020mission !

2020mission · 16/06/2021 20:56

@Justanothercyster @Kate105 feeling pretty anxious now. Hopefully it will go well 🀞 it's at 11.15 so at least I won't have to wait until the afternoon!

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Kirky658 · 16/06/2021 21:16

@2020mission you're bound to feel anxious! When you see that little baby on the screen wriggling away it will make it all worth it ❀️

SamoyedFan123 · 16/06/2021 21:35

@2020mission good luck for your scan! Hope you enjoy it 😊

Still no blood test results back so still in HDN limbo here 😠

Justanothercyster · 16/06/2021 22:02

Any tips for foot swelling? It's the bane of my life right now

OP posts:
lucyrp · 17/06/2021 06:28

@Justanothercyster I wouldn't worry too much about it I think it's just the heat which is causing us all to have swollen feet, on my august ladies bus most of us noticed our feet swelling this last week so have decided it's more to do with the heat than the pregnancy although that's probably a factor. I've been living in sandals and immersing my feet in cold water at night x

Gem176 · 17/06/2021 12:10

@2020mission hope your scan went well πŸ’•

@Justanothercyster foot swelling was always a problem for me in the heat, even when not pregnant. Especially if I had been standing/walking a lot!! Thankfully as I'm in the frozen north no such problems so far as we are almost hitting 15c πŸ™„ elevation is your friend as are any kind of cooling sprays you can get your hands on. Body shop do a really nice peppermint one, treat yourself!

@SamoyedFan123 I can't believe how badly they have handled this whole blood thing. I would be so upset and angry! Everything crossed you hear today and that levels are low 🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻

@Kirky658 My younger brother can be an absolute a**e at times and my mum always sticks up for him 😏 the joys! Hope you are sorted with your mum now?

Well it looks like I'm off now for the foreseeable, had what I thought was a stinker of a cold three weeks ago, even OH came down with man flu big time and he's never usually ill. Negative lateral flow tests so we assumed we just weren't used to colds after so long not seeing people or being exposed to other peoples germs. Im still feeling wiped out and can't walk the length of the house without being out of breath and my blood sugars are being a bit odd. Went to GP, she was lovely but thinks it may have been covid because the lateral flow tests are apparently really bad for false negatives 😒 she did a proper test to go to the lab, took a load of bloods and signed me off for the next 3 weeks as my oxygen saturation wasn't great and some funky sounds in my chest. This takes me up to 7th July when I'm on holiday until mid august when I start mat leave. In a bit of shock at that being me done as hadn't really properly finished up if that makes sense?

SamoyedFan123 · 17/06/2021 12:23

@2020mission I hope your scan went well!

@gem176 yaay for no more work! I'm still waiting for my blood results 😞

Am I the only person who doesn't have swollen feet right now! My feet and ankles were huge last time but so far so good this time!

Kirky658 · 17/06/2021 14:15

@gem176 hey lovely, yeah DH went round and apologised for upsetting my brother last night and all OK now. Sorry to hear you've been so unwell bless you sounds rough!

@samoyedfan123 no swollen ankles here yet either but I reckon I do so much walking it's impossible πŸ˜‚

I have been told to finish work for the afternoon as I feel rotten after my jab yesterday. Tired, warm and headachy. Fine other than that though and baby is wriggling away.

2020mission · 17/06/2021 16:39

Hey ladies sorry I'm so late messaging here! All went absolutely fine (except for a 1 hour 45 min wait between the scan and bloods etc!) baby measuring exactly 12 weeks and was moving around a lot. They did make me take my piercing out πŸ˜… photo attached. Any gender guesses welcome haha

SamoyedFan123 · 17/06/2021 16:53

That's fab news @2020mission πŸ˜ƒ
I'm rubbish at gender guesses though 🀣

Kirky658 · 17/06/2021 16:55

@2020mission woop woop glad all is OK what a little cutie pie! I wouldn't know where to start with the gender lovely sorry x

Justanothercyster · 17/06/2021 17:45

@lucyrp cold water is a good idea! And I recorded a heartbeat today yay πŸ₯°

@Gem176 oh no! It's really getting bad we've got students going down with it left right and centre and I'm soooo paranoid. Hope you and baby are ok and you don't suffer too long xx

OP posts:
Justanothercyster · 17/06/2021 17:45

Whoops pressed too soon, yay lovely pic @2020mission ! Girl 100%

OP posts:
2020mission · 17/06/2021 17:59

I was thinking that too @Justanothercyster! We really don't mind though πŸ˜€

The woman doing the scan said she could see a small cyst on my ovary. She said she's not concerned but they will check it again at the next scan. Hopefully it goes away.

What kind of shoes are you wearing @Justanothercyster? I'll need to prepare for swelling feet. I'll probably try and just wear flip flops most of summer where possible πŸ˜… won't be a solution for winter though!

Sorry you're feeling rotten @Kirky658 but I'm sure it won't last long. Also cannot believe some idiot messaged you and said what they did after you had the vaccine what a horrible person. Take care!

@Gem176 it's a shame you're finishing up feeling a bit under the weather but hopefully you will both be feeling better soon.

Justanothercyster · 17/06/2021 18:28

@2020mission ah cysts come and go. Unless you have pcos like me and they never leave 😳I'm sure it will be fine.
Shoe wise I'm limited because my school is all very smart wear (jackets etc) so I normally wear low heels and they're all I've got right now! Need to buy some comfy flat sandals or something for the rest of this term.

OP posts:
Kate105 · 17/06/2021 19:31

Get you some nice brogues @Justanothercyster , they've all I've been wearing for the last few weeks! I do really miss my lovely heels though 😭 on the other hand, no swollen ankles here so it's definitely the right thing to do. It isn't that warm this far north though either πŸ˜‚

Sorry you've been feeling rough @Kirky658 and even sorrier to hear about potential Covid @Gem176 doesn't say much for the LFT does it! It's all hotting up in school again and we're bringing masks back in for the kids etc... feels a bit ominous. Just really trying to stay quiet and hope they don't make me WFH from 28 weeks. It's only 2 weeks until the end of term from there so I would just like to see it out and get everything sorted before leaving!

Glad it's good news @2020mission but I will not gender guess either. I'm rubbish!

Kirky658 · 17/06/2021 19:37

Thank ladies, had an hours nap this afternoon and feeling so refreshed and like a new woman now, perhaps my body has reacted to the jab now and all is OK. Just been to visit my brother and parents and all happy as Larry on that front so feeling happy. ❀️

Justanothercyster · 17/06/2021 19:55

@Kate105 I've just brought some flats and two pairs of sandals online, hopefully they'll help. Where did you get your brogues from?

Currently sat here with my feet in a bowl of ice water and it is AMAZING thank you @lucyrp for the tip. Most relief I've felt in days!

OP posts:
Justanothercyster · 17/06/2021 19:57

Ah scratch that @Kate105 I've got brogues just didn't realise they were called that haha. I love them but my feet get toooooo hot, need open shoes for my feet methinks.

@Kirky658 glad you're feeling a bit better after a rough morning x

OP posts:
lucyrp · 17/06/2021 20:08

@2020mission lovely scan! 😍😍

@Justanothercyster im tempted to soak mine now, been wearing sandals all day but they're so sore and hot 😰

Missgoldilocks · 18/06/2021 08:19

Oh why hello! I didn't know this was running. Where is everyone at in their pregnancy? I'm 35 weeks on Saturday and suffering from intense PGP πŸ™„ how is everyone doing!? It would be nice to speak to some preggo ladies my Facebook group is basically baby group already 🀣 xx

Kirky658 · 18/06/2021 09:42

@missgoldilocks hiya lovely! Sorry to hear you're suffering with PGP, have they been sending you for physio? 27 weeks here x

Missgoldilocks · 18/06/2021 09:50

@Kirky658 hey!! 27 weeks πŸ₯° do you know whether it's a boy or girl?? How's the pregnancy going? Yes they did a few months back but it was over video, they gave me little exercises to do but it wasn't so bad back then where I felt I needed one in one, now I've gotten a lot bigger I think it's just become really bad. Seeing my midwife today and will talk about it because I dunno if I can do 5 weeks more of this!! X
