@djmum83 awww that's great news glad all is OK! Hopefully the medication will kick in soon to make you better too x

Clairey844 · 07/06/2021 17:35

@lucyrp yeah I'm good, 33wks tomorrow 😬😬 but feeling ok so far. Been so busy the time is just flying!

@DJmum83 glad your scan went well πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Kate105 · 07/06/2021 18:06

Ahhh great news @DJmum83 hope you're feeling better soon! At least they know what you need now.

Oh my god first day back and I'm knackered! Full day of mock speaking exams and I am DONE 😴😴😴 not helped by what I can only imagine were braxton hicks at 5am this morning. What joy!

lucyrp · 07/06/2021 18:17

@DJmum83 aww lovely πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

@Kate105 I know the feeling. Had a week off and first day back today and my feet omg. I just can't do it anymore πŸ˜…

@Clairey844 the last 2 weeks have gone so slow for me πŸ₯Ί

Justanothercyster · 07/06/2021 18:34

Thanks ladies, I think I was just having an irrational day worrying! Bump seems bigger today πŸ˜‚ can't win. Baby is kicking away right now whilst I read my book which is easing my worries, and I took my belly ring out earlier to change and I've noticed that my very much innie is starting to become and outtie 😱

@DJmum83 aww lovely ❀️ glad all went well, she looks gorgeous already in black and white πŸ₯°

@Kate105 I feel your pain 😫 although luckily now the year 11s have gone I've gained some time. What do you teach again?

OP posts:
Kirky658 · 07/06/2021 18:43

@kate105 @justanothercyster my DH has gone back today and he's so happy they've lost the year 11s and year 13s so he can plan for next year now before the baby arrives! His school isn't a standard secondary though and they rely on recruiting kids from local schools so he's got a bloody open evening till 8pm Thursday evening plus a 45 min journey home, joy!

@justanothercyster also being kicked to pieces here and my scar from my surgery on my belly button has stretched to gross proportions!

Had my covid vaccine text today... Still thinking I'm gonna have it...

Thinkingandblinking · 07/06/2021 19:08

@DJmum83 fab news, hopefully you will be feeling better soon xx

2020mission · 07/06/2021 19:34

@Justanothercyster you still planning on keeping in a metal bar for the time being? I need to enjoy the last of my belly piercing looking nice πŸ˜… I'm not looking forward to having an outie! Glad you're feeling kicks again and looking a little bigger too πŸ‘

@Kirky658 surprised you've only just been invited for your vaccine now, are you under 30? I called and asked to delay mines when it came through a couple of weeks ago but still haven't decided if I'll get it at all during pregnancy. All depends on what the cases are like during summer and whether work agree to let me work from home for the rest of the year while pregnant. The main thing was not to do anything in this first trimester anyway.

@DJmum83 lovely scan photo! I've still got ten days to wait until my first scan. I'm in for a shock when I (hopefully) see the baby and believe it's really happening.

Kate105 · 07/06/2021 19:45

I teach French and German @Justanothercyster and with hindsight really should have left the oral exams until later in the week...! However once this week from hell is over I do have quite a lot of gained time πŸ™ŒπŸ» I had two Y11 classes and Y13 so I'm really hoping that I actually get some time to plan for my maternity cover one of these days!

Urgh I feel you there @Kirky658 our school is the same. Blatantly ignoring the upcoming sixth form open day and just hoping it'll go away πŸ˜‚

Kate105 · 07/06/2021 19:46

Also @lucyrp I have given in and out my lovely heels away... just the flats from now on 😭

Kate105 · 07/06/2021 19:46

Put my heels away even! Stupid autocorrect

Kirky658 · 07/06/2021 20:01

@2020mission yes hun I'm 27, so I was actually invited much earlier than I thought I'd be! Excited for your first scan 😬❀️

2020mission · 08/06/2021 17:01

Hey all, are little sharp twinges of pain normal? Had it over the last half hour on my lower left side quite a few times... been to the loo and no blood. I'm hoping it's just growing pains! It's not bad enough pain I can still continue doing anything it's just new.

2020mission · 08/06/2021 17:39

I just done some yoga and they've stopped since... so not panicking anymore πŸ˜… it feels too early for pains though as I'm only just hitting 11 weeks.

Gem176 · 08/06/2021 17:40

Hola ladies! Took an overly extended break, hopefully you don't mind me hopping back on 🀞🏻

Hope you are all doing well!!

Have been a lurker πŸ‘€ while I wasn't actually ready to add anything to the conversation.

Few weeks of health problems, joys of a high risk pregnancy, problems at and with work, DIY at home meant I ducked out and just as I was ready to come back two ladies were going through losses and while they were going through that I couldn't come on here and complain about my pregnancy. Then time just went on and on and it got harder to bite the bullet and say hi!

A big thanks to @lucyrp for reaching out and telling me to just come back πŸ™ˆ

25 weeks today, we think it's a girl but that will be confirmed at first growth scan on the 22nd. Still haven't bought anything as all the worries haven't quite gone and I really don't want to jinx anything. Practically living at the hospital between obstetric appointments, diabetes appointment and now just for fun ophthalmology appointments as pregnancy is screwing with my eyes. However, only a maximum of 13 weeks to go as baby will be delivered no later than 38 weeks but could be as early as 36 weeks!!

Kirky658 · 08/06/2021 18:55

@2020mission I remember getting stretchy pains pretty early on, most likely everything stretching and your womb growing. X

@clairey844 hola lovely, welcome back!!! Omg that's no time at all, you might be having your little one before I'm due haha I'm 26 weeks tomorrow due 15th Sept. Sorry you've been having health problems, hope all is under control? X

Justanothercyster · 08/06/2021 21:31

@Kirky658 ah I love not having the year 11s because of the time, though I have to say I miss my class! Obviously you make the decision but I thought Vaccine is better than covid, no negatives over here from it.
Btw I think you tagged the wrong person!

@2020mission haha I don't know. I still have my normal bar in but it won't be long. I just hate the way they look on overly pregnant bellies but I'm too scared of the see through/ rubber ones now after what Lucy said!
I had soooo many pains and cramps and twinges up until a few weeks ago, I was an anxious mess so understand your panic haha. Bean is snuggling and your womb is stretching so it's all normal x

@Kate105 good luck with the week from hell! Nearly there.

@Gem176 yay! Glad to see you back, I was worried when you didn't get back to my message ages ago! Don't worry it's understandable why you've been away, we're here for you whatever the circumstances :) wow, all sounds very stressful and busy your end! Sorry your having health problems, but glad you're being looked after x

@Kirky658 think you tagged me by mistake-assuming you meant to tag@Gem176

Xx

Kirky658 · 08/06/2021 21:35

@clairey844 sorry babe, dunno how I did that 🀣🀣🀣

@justanothercyster @gem176 my apologies, one of those days for cocking stuff up today 😬🀣

lucyrp · 08/06/2021 22:47

@Gem176 yay glad you decided to hop back on after our chat πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

@Justanothercyster my metal 16mm bar came yesterday and its a life saver! Seems to be fine with this one in, not too long or short and comfortable !

Gem176 · 08/06/2021 23:18

@Kirky658 definitely blame baby brain πŸ˜‚ according to the consultant I won't be going past 8th September.... they don't do electives on a Thursday or Friday to reduce numbers on the ward over the weekend (obviously no weekend elective either) and the longest they will leave me is a couple of days over 38 weeks so 8th September is my finish line and it really doesn't feel that long away!! Although the 24th august seems ridiculously close and terrifying!
Had to have laser on some blood vessels at the back of my eye as the combination of super tight blood glucose control plus the increased blood flow left them very unstable and a risk for rupturing and bleeding which would be really bad for
my sight. Apparently it's one of the many fun things that can happen to diabetics during pregnancy πŸ™„ keeping a very close eye on it (pun unintentional) so hopefully all will be stable for the rest of my pregnancy.
Hard to believe that we are well over the half way stage now!! Sadly it feels like time is really dragging now!

@2020mission I had such bad pains early on. Coughing, sneezing, rolling over or standing up was absolute agony sometimes. Always on my lower left side. Asked the midwife at my booking appointment, had been getting them from really early on, and she said it was just everything stretching. Glad it's eased up for you.

@Justanothercyster was the message on Instagram? I have a notification that's been there for months but there isn't a message 🀨 it's been really annoying me!! Deleted the app and reinstalled but still its there πŸ™ˆ
being well looked after it's just that I'm a natural worrier. We didn't announce until after the anomaly scan, it's just been such a strange journey this time round. I was so naive last time and this time I know everything that can go wrong and don't think I'll relax until we have an actual baby. Feeling movement is hugely reassuring though and hitting 24 weeks was a really big milestone for me πŸ˜…

On the bellybutton chat, took mine out for my scan 6 weeks ago and I forgot to put it back in and now I'm pretty sure it's closed up πŸ™ˆ I'll just have to get it pierced for the 3rd time πŸ˜‚

2020mission · 08/06/2021 23:42

I'm convinced I can see my belly bar through the skin a bit right now so I have little hope for it staying in for a lot longer. @Gem176 how long ago did you have yours last re-pierced? I googled some heavily pregnant belly piercing photos and it didn't look too good 😐. That's a shame you had to get lasering on the eye but definitely a good move to prevent any rupturing or bleeding!

Thanks ladies for reassuring me about the pains. It's just a bit of a shock when you've not felt anything for weeks and then you suddenly feel something new like that. I'm really counting down the days to this first scan on the 17th now! I feel so far behind everyone here πŸ˜… but it's nice to have a bit of insight to what's ahead with you all sharing how you're getting on.

Who's due first... is it @lucyrp?

Gem176 · 09/06/2021 00:33

@2020mission when I was pregnant last time I left it in until much later and could see and feel it through the skin, ended up just taking it out as it was uncomfy. I was tiny last time (DD was only 6lbs2) so made it to a couple of weeks before she was born and planned to put it back in after but never got round to it. Had it out for 5 years and had it pierced again 3 years ago.
I might try and get my bar back in tomorrow but it looks closed over πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
Thought of laser is worse than the actual laser, not pleasant but worth it and I got a lovely night away in a posh hotel πŸ˜‚

@lucyrp is due before @Kirky658 who is due before me but I might leapfrog Kirky as they won't let me go to my due date.

Justanothercyster · 09/06/2021 06:49

@lucyrp ooh ok I'll have a look.

@Gem176 yes on insta! Just checking in that was all. Sorry I broke your gram πŸ˜‚
Totally get the worrying, I've been constantly thinking about it all which is annoying. Some days better than others. You're definitely ok, not long to go!

OP posts:
lucyrp · 09/06/2021 06:52

@2020mission actually I think it's @Clairey844 who's due first then its me and then @Kirky658
We should do a list of due dates
