Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

Yes 2 is a relief.. you only have 2 hands lol

hollypurple · 25/05/2021 16:18

@HforHavana how are you feeling now? My breast pain/aches come and go a bit. If you are concerned though contact your GP or midwife.

Thanks for asking! My boobs are a bit tender now but not as much as what they were. It was so strange lastnight, I woke up and it was as if I could feel the pain literally disappear out of the boobs from the top down which is why I panicked.
Iv felt awful the past few days - sickness and exhausted, and today I'm just abit tired so I'm worrying why I don't feel sick!
Dps relative is a midwife so I may speak to her and see what she thinks.

It's so hard as you don't know whether your being over cautious or overthinking with such minor changes!

hollypurple · 25/05/2021 16:44

@HforHavana i know exactly what you mean. I'm second guessing and questioning every feeling I have at the moment. I've felt exhausted and more nauseous today after a couple of days of feeling less nauseous which is strangely reassuring.

I had some light spotting over the weekend and so am waiting on an appointment with the Early Pregnancy Unit but the earliest appointment I could get is next Wednesday so trying to keep anxieties under control.

Have been reassured by out of hours GP, another GP and a midwife that a bit of spotting at 8 weeks (especially as I had no pain) should be nothing to worry about but anxiety is a cruel friend.

HforHavana · 25/05/2021 17:00

@hollypurple anxiety really is cruel. I am just trying to tell myself that statistically, the odds are in my favour but it's so hard actually believing it! I had a viability scan last week and everything was perfect, so just need to hold out until 12 week scan now. Patience is not one of my strong points either 😬

Hope your appointment at the EPU goes well, let us know how you get on xx

hollypurple · 25/05/2021 17:02

Thanks @HforHavana. Yes, all the stats go in my favour so just resting, back to working from home (as much as I was enjoying the change of scenery going back to the office)

Will let you know how it goes :)

Bladette84 · 25/05/2021 17:25

@HforHavana
I’ve had similar today. One of my friends is a midwife has reassured me they symptoms can come and go.
Anxiety has been kicking my butt today. I have an early scan next week as we had IVF so just doing my best to get to then!

mimirouge · 25/05/2021 18:12

Slept from 6pm- 6am!! So tired. Managing simple meals but cannot face meat.

Aquarius93 · 25/05/2021 19:20

Hope everyone’s doing okay - I’m still just exhausted and having mild morning sickness (but much more severe evening sickness!)

I had my booking in appointment today over the phone and then going in for blood tests etc next week. Also got given the date for my dating scan which will be 16th June. Starting to feel a lot more real now!

osmo18 · 25/05/2021 19:44

@Aquarius93 I'm feeling the same as you sickness tends to be a lot worse in the evenings!
I'm really struggling to keep hydrated at the moment, water just doesn't taste right and the only thing I'm drinking is tea or 7up!!

Oooh so exciting you now have your dating scan I bet it feels so much more real now Smile

Aquarius93 · 25/05/2021 20:29

@osmo18 I think staying hydrated is the problem for me - I can drink loads of water first thing in the morning and my sickness starts to ease off but by the end of the day I’m so fed up of water!

Missingcoffee22 · 25/05/2021 21:07

Aquarius93 @osmo18 I am also really struggling with drinking enough water!

I've also got my scan date.. 22nd. Very exciting. But haven't heard from the midwives yet about booking in. Guess just different systems.

gigchic · 25/05/2021 21:38

My symptoms definitely come and go. I wake up in the morning not knowing how I'm going to feel. Today I've been exhausted and felt more and more sick as the days gone on but last weekend I felt pretty good 🤷‍♀️. We've just been to the local pub for a meal and I swear people will think I've got a bladder issue as I was up and down to the loo like a yo-yo 😂. Can't believe some of you have dating scan dates already! I'm excited for my booking in appointment on 8th June. I might believe this is actually happening then?!

Aquarius93 · 25/05/2021 21:40

@Missingcoffee22 I think I’m lucky with my midwife as it’s through my GP surgery so I just had the ring up and book the appointment. Good that you’ve got the scan date to look forward to though!

Missingcoffee22 · 25/05/2021 21:46

@Aquarius93 oh that's fab. I've self referred to the midwives and it said they'd be in touch ideally in 10 days, but just to chase if I get to 10 weeks.

lori2019 · 26/05/2021 08:51

Morning all, I joined the group a few weeks back then symptoms took over and I hardly looked at my phone. Am now 8.5 weeks, have our 2nd scan tomorrow with fertility clinic, all going well it will be our last with them. We had first 2 weeks ago, all looked fine and hearing heartbeat was something I'll never forget. Still absolutely petrified for tomorrow - so hard to believe this is real and will last.

We see midwife next week for booking in appointment.

Hope everyone is doing well and surviving the nausea and sickness.

Akijas · 26/05/2021 10:10

Hi all just would like to congrats who are pregnant and will pray for those who are trying , i am in my 4th week , very scared , this is first pregnancy after 6 years , having little pain scare me , is this normal

HforHavana · 26/05/2021 10:57

So after panicking yesterday about symptoms disappearing, the nausea is back full force today!
Trying not to complain to much as it's made me feel better anxiety wise. Never been more grateful to feel sick Grin

expectinglittlebear · 26/05/2021 12:33

Hey everyone!

Just thought I would join the forum, as I found out yesterday that I am expecting our first baby! 3x positive CB tests, two that say '1-2' and one that says '2-3'. By looking at calculations, I believe I am 4+3 with a due date of 30 Jan 2022. Grin

Anybody else due at the later end of January and your first baby?

mimirouge · 26/05/2021 12:57

My sickness has gone. 7 weeks. Worried now

hollypurple · 26/05/2021 13:20

@mimirouge call your GP if concerned.

I have found my nausea has come and gone a little - often returning more strongly after it has eased. But any concerns contact your GP (or your midwife if you already have a contact with that team)

hollypurple · 26/05/2021 13:21

@HforHavana agreed - never felt so relieved to feel so rubbish!

IDontDrinkTea · 26/05/2021 19:39

I’ve had a very sicky day today… low point was I managed to vom on the dentist 😭 I kept trying to warn him but he wouldn’t move his hands out my mouth to enable me to move away… Literally dripped off his visor 😭😭 mortified isn’t the word (although tbh it’s his own fault for not stopping!)

Bladette84 · 26/05/2021 19:52

I’ve just had a bleed which has terrified me. It seems to have stopped now and not had any pain. Spoken to the out of hours IVF nurse and she’s going to try and get me in for a scan tomorrow morning.
My anxiety is through the roof now.

StephiW · 26/05/2021 20:13

Hi ladies,

May I join too?

Been a whirlwind really for me. I have suspected PCOS, me and DH have been trying since August, because AF hasn't been regular we didn't really know when to DTD. Long story short last AF was February took a test at the start of April BFN. Decided to take another on the 4th and low and behold BFP!!! Absolute shock! No real symptoms just a niggle in my head I should take a test.
Several BFP tests later and fast forward a week a midwife estimated I was 11 weeks when I did my booking appointment putting due date in December. Last week get a call from ultrasound department for appointment. We went last Thursday and she measure our little bean at 7mm which actually put me at 6 weeks. New due date 10/01/22.

I consider myself lucky about the scan. Little bean had a heartbeat too!

The things they don't say is just how tired I constantly am! I can deal with boobs being sore and the waves of nausea, which comes and goes but the feeling like I have run into a brick wall. Still I know this will be worth it for our first child. Some days are definitely better than others for symptoms.
