Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

@BabyBunnyMama

I'm also feeling really nauseous if I'm hungry. I keep waking up at around 4am and have started keeping some ginger biscuits in the drawer beside my bed and scoff 1 or 2 through the night then go back to sleep 🙈 still really gone off hot drinks/sauces too 🤢

Anyone else have any food aversions? Even the thought of some foods makes me want to gag so definitely finding having a balanced diet a real challenge!

I'm the same! I know I should be eating fruit and veg but I just want salty carbs (chipstick crisps!) and plain salty biscuits like hobnobs.

I can't stand the thought (or smell) of strong flavours like garlic and chilli. Really struggled to do the online food shop as I don't want any of our usual dinners. I'm going off tea but still making a cup for the comfort of it in my hands. I'm off chocolate too, although I might fancy some Galaxy salted caramel chocolate. Why do I want salt so much??!

I think this is only going to get stronger...

BabyBunnyMama · 21/05/2021 15:56

@missingcoffee22 Oh I am exactly the same with drinks! I am so thirsty but regular water is making me feel sick too! It like the lack of taste somehow tastes awful! Diluted juice and ice lollies are getting me by at the moment 😆

And me! I took a load of sliced lemons to work today to put in my water because normal water is making me sick. I've just thrown a plug in air freshener away too from home as the smell of that was making me gag!

As well as fruit and salty crisps, i now love marmite on white toast.

LilmissCa · 21/05/2021 17:19

I'm the same now too, gone off tea today (knew it was coming the last 2days I couldn't finish a cup). A tin of cold sprite brought me round at lunch time so I could eat really struggling with water too! The saltiness crave is insane, just devoured S&V discos, thinking a bag of chips for dinner with plenty of salt & vinegar!

BabyBunnyMama · 21/05/2021 19:39

@GummyBear2022 Oh I'll have to give lemons in the water a go to see if that helps!

@LilmissCa You have made me really want salt and vinegar discos now 🤤🤤🤤

I made spagbol for our dinner tonight and the plain pasta was hitting the spot. Had a good 90% pasta and minimal bolognese 😆 Just give me alllll the carbs!

Moneypenny007 · 21/05/2021 20:08

Sparkling water and some dilute is great for that thirst.

Babynum2 · 21/05/2021 20:12

DaisyDoo2222 · 22/05/2021 05:49

Hi all! Can I join? Smile was trying so just tested and got my positive! Due date calculator is working it out to be 28th January, roughly around 4 weeks now. Felt fine up until yesterday when I felt a bit sick and today woke up early. So excited! I already have a 3 year old girl!

Tangfastic91 · 22/05/2021 06:12

@DaisyDoo2222 hi! Welcome. I'm just a little ahead of you (due 25 Jan) and haven't been able to sleep past 5am since I got my BFP on Tuesday. I can only assume it's anxiety related ha! First for me though, no idea what to expect.

I'll join you! :) I am also due 01/01/2022! Due to some light spotting early on, I had two scans at 6 and 7 weeks. They calculated my due date on my last scan.

Oh bless you! I'm not used to a 5am start as my DD is a good sleeper, I've watched 3 episodes of gogglebox already Grin congratulations! First time baby is so exciting x

BabyBunnyMama · 22/05/2021 11:35

@HolidayGolightly I'm also due on the 1st 😁 Estimated the 4th but then had a scan yesterday which put me forward 3 days to the 1st. Little New Year's Day babies 🥰

marnh18 · 22/05/2021 13:53

Has anyone else still not let their doctors know they are pregnant? Im 7 weeks tomorrow and i still haven't contacted them. If you have contacted them when have they booked you in for your first appointment with a midwife?

BunBunMum · 22/05/2021 14:03

@marnh18 I phoned the Drs this week. I was 6+5. I had to then phone and book myself in with the midwife at 10 weeks. The midwives are only at our practice 2 days a week at the moment so glad I booked in advance.

I self referred straight to the midwives as that's what I was told to do when I went to the gp last time. I've done it early this time just to get my scan booked in early as I'm away from 12+3, but last time I did it at gone 8 weeks.

I havent heard from my midwives yet anyway after 3.5 weeks and no booking in appointment made yet.

L1ttleb1t · 22/05/2021 16:33

Omg the heartburn is unreal today... Ugh! I'm downing gaviscon like an addict.

Optimist2020 · 22/05/2021 17:55

Hello 👋🏽 great to see so many mums to be and January babies 😊 I got my BFP a couple of weeks ago, I’m now 6+5 , EDD is 10.1.22. Is there a Facebook that I can join ?

osmo18 · 22/05/2021 18:42

@marnh18
I'm 8 weeks and have my first midwife appointment Tuesday. I called my GP who booked me in as the community midwife is based there three days a week.
I've also had an early viability scan (private)

I'm going to try some cold lemonade to help with sickness! It comes and goes in waves but I'm also finding that water just makes me feel even worse.

Congrats! I've got a link to one if you dm me x
Tangfastic91 · 23/05/2021 00:10

I asked on here and people told me to tell GP straight away, they gave me a number to call and I already have appointment booked for 8+1 end of June! Kind of nice that I already have a midwife and contact number should anything go wrong.
