Christmas Baby's 2021

Would anyone like to Join me for some support in these early stages and to discuss symptoms.

I am age 30 and this little one is #2. I had a mmc at 12 weeks a few years ago so naturally worried this time. Also have PSOS.

Due date of 21st December 2021. Currently feeling mild tiredness, small cramps and slight nausea although I'm saying bring on the symptoms.

We had the appointment tonight.

My chromosome tests all came back very low, which is good news.

They did lots of checks and everything seemed normal, but obviously the baby is still tiny.
She checked the heart and she could see 4 chambers, the brain, limbs etc all looked find too.

She couldn't get a good view of the face profile because of the babies position.

She has asked us to go back in two weeks for another scan and if they suspect issues then we have the options of the invasive chromosome tests. She said atm she didn't see anything worrying enough to recommend the further tests due to the miscarriage risks.

All we can do is wait and hope 🤞🏼 x

@catlady1234 Awww that’s good news lovely!! I’m pleased to hear that everything looks ok for now! Honestly I think it’s the same with our little boy, there were no other markers other than the big neck measurement and our tests all came back low too!! I don’t think the invasive tests are worth the risk IMO! Your little one probably just has a smaller than average chin, like my little one had a larger than usual neck 🙈 these little monkeys putting us through stress and anxiety already!! Although I read recently that they were introducing NIPT tests rather than the invasive ones on NHS from this month?! So maybe that might be a better option if there are still concerns in the next couple of weeks; however I am hopeful that your little one will be absolutely fine and will have grown as they should have done 😊 are you going to tell people yet or wait for the next scan?

@julzx aww I’m sorry to hear about your first birth!! Sounds very traumatic!!! I’m glad to hear that everything turned out ok and that this little baby is doing well!! I really think these anxieties are really normal and I don’t think they ever go away 😔 I’ve had 4 scans now and even though they’ve all be ok, I’m still worrying and googling symptoms! I don’t think all these hormones help with it either 🙈 I just wanted to reassure you that you’re not alone with it and I’m sure there are plenty of other women who feel the exact same - whether they’ve had MC or not, previous births or not, I think it’s this maternal instinct to protect our little ones and make sure everything is ok 💕 I hope your scan goes well tomorrow x

Just checking in! 13+1 today, time is moving albeit slowly!

Anyone had any very light pale brown discharge? I had a little on wiping on Friday & it went after a day & had another tiny bit today, I know I'm probably panicking over nothing but after 2 mc's I can't help it!

@gizmo167 did you find out what the discharge was about? Did you have it checked out?

Yeah not bad thanks. We had another scan with the consultant yesterday. She said she couldn't see anything to be concerned about... but she couldn't get a good face profile view and the baby is still only 16 weeks.
We have another scan at 19 weeks. The bigger the baby gets, the more they can see I guess.
I'm hopefully it's nothing, but prepared it could be something. Only time will tell 🤞🏼

Apart from that I'm feeling good. I'm feeling better in myself in my second trimester- more motivated and back to myself. I'm getting a bit of a bump- but I'm chubby anyway so it's not obvious.

@catlady1234 aww I’m so pleased to hear your scan went as well as it could have done!! I’m pretty hopeful for you too that it’s nothing!! Have you been keeping yourself busy between scans? Have you told people now? I’m glad you’re feeling better!! I’m feeling much better too - more energy and no more nausea!! I did have some acid reflux but that seems to have settled now too! Feel like time is dragging until the 20 week scan! We booked a scan at 16 weeks and found out we’re having another little boy 💙

I’m ok thank you, tired all the time but it doesn’t help that my 2 year old is non stop lol.
This is baby number 8, I have 6 at home and an angel baby boy.
This time round I’m on aspirin, iron tablets, have to take clexane from 28 weeks, and have extra scans.

Iv had the best news- we had another consultant scan yesterday and the baby has been given the all clear! They have no concerns about him at all 😁 I'm very relieved.

Now to start enjoying my pregnancy 🤞🏼

@Room4onemore awww I can completely emphasise with you on the tiredness and over-active 2 year old!!!! It’s full on and I’m so glad that he still has a lunch nap, as I can rest too!! Not sure how I would cope if he didn’t 🙈 how old are your other little ones? Your house must be pretty full on!!! Sorry to hear about your little angel 😔 is that the reason why your being monitored more this pregnancy?

@catlady1234 awww yay that’s amazing news!!! See I told you everything would be ok!! I’m over the moon for you!! I know it’s been such an anxiety time for u!! I bet it’s such a huge relief getting the all clear!! I hope you can now enjoy the rest of the pregnancy! We still have half way to go so plenty of time to enjoy bump and little movements and planning etc 🥰 have you found out yours is a little boy too? 💙 we are struggling with boys names!! We struggled with my little boy and only just managed to agree on his name, so we feel completely stumped with this one!! Hoping we get some inspiration by the time he arrives 😂 yeh I’ve literally popped out properly this past week - before I think it was more bloat but this is definite bumpage!!! How about you? x

@Tryingandhopeful yes that’s the reason I’m being monitored more closely. Mine at home are 15,12,11,9,6 and 2.
Had my 20 week scan and found out baby is healthy and is a girl.

I'm 22 weeks tomorrow, getting bumpy!

Have you started to feel movement? I have recently started to feel kicking which I really like.
