Would anyone like to Join me for some support in these early stages and to discuss symptoms.

I am age 30 and this little one is #2. I had a mmc at 12 weeks a few years ago so naturally worried this time. Also have PSOS.

Due date of 21st December 2021. Currently feeling mild tiredness, small cramps and slight nausea although I'm saying bring on the symptoms.

Hi @gracie2307
No spotting but didn't want to read and run. I've seen threads where others have had similar and it was OK. Try and keep yourself occupied today and good luck for tomorrow Flowers

gracie2307 · 26/04/2021 15:22

Thanks @titchy13! It's hit and miss I've read success stories but also not so great stories. Tbf the spotting hasn't been that bad (not like a period) so I'm hoping to get a bit of reassurance tomorrow. Its taken me and DH so long to get pregnant I just want it to stick! How far along are you? How are you finding things? Xx

ApplePie86 · 26/04/2021 15:26

Congratulations @HPmagic

I also have PCOS and due 30th December

Definitely worries about things progressing and have a scan booked in for 8 weeks.

I'm also continuing taking inositol. I believe it's meant to help with GD...that's what I'm hoping anyway. Did you use it to help you conceive?

gizmo167 · 26/04/2021 15:30

@gracie2307 brown spotting generally isnt anything to worry about if you dont have cramping or extreme pain. I had it with my DD for the first few weeks. With both my mc's my spotting started early but was bright red and then went to full mc with pain etc! Try and relax, easier said than done I know!

HPmagic · 26/04/2021 15:48

@ApplePie86 yes I used it to conceive and it worked within 4 months. I am still taking it but was going to look into reducing it once I hit 12 weeks to wean off it so to speak.

Thank you @gizmo167 I'm hoping it's something minor like a sensitive cervix. 🙏 I havent been in pain with it. Did your spotting come and go or was it for a few days? Xx

gizmo167 · 26/04/2021 16:08

@gracie2307 mine didnt stop when it started, was light pink with the first mc and just progressed to get heavier and then passed everything naturally with pain a couple days later. Same sort of thing with the last mc although I just knew I felt different with it, my symptoms stopped and I just had that feeling! Started to spot and within 2 days extreme pain and heavy bleeding. Praying this one sticks!

gracie2307 · 26/04/2021 16:13

Ah I'm so sorry for your losses @gizmo167 thank you for sharing. Fingers crossed all will be well for this pregnancy 🙏 how many weeks are you? Xx

islysmum · 26/04/2021 20:58

Hi ladies, I'm due 26th Dec with my first. So happy by so scared at the same time in case something goes wrong. I've been feeling fine, well knackered and some morning sickness but all good. The past two nights I've had a mild pain in my left side and crampy left leg but I'm fine during the day. Thinking it's probably just because I'm tired and working during the day. Anyone had anything similar?

ActonBell · 27/04/2021 10:30

Haven’t thrown up yet but I am so nauseous all the time. It started being afternoons and evenings and now it’s all day. I’m hungry at the same time but really struggle with what to eat. It’s been accompanied today by dry heaving in response to strong smells. Ugh. Really struggling at work today and trying not to beat myself up for being a useless parent to DS in the evenings.
Currently I can eat tinned fruit and some fresh fruit and plain boiled veg, which is good. Also ready salted crisps, crackers and plain boiled pasta or rice.
Sometimes cereal.
None of it stops the nausea though.

Only 6+4 so it feels like I have a long way to go before symptoms start to ease.

ActonBell · 27/04/2021 10:32

@islysmum - that doesn’t sound like anything to be worried about. I haven’t had that but you get all sorts of weird aches and pains through pregnancy and they’re rarely serious unless it’s significant one sided pain or major cramping.
I had pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel with my son and had to wear special wrist supports! Hoping to avoid that this time.

gizmo167 · 27/04/2021 10:36

@islysmum I suffer from leg cramps at night and have noticed I have this again now so probably just another symptom!

@gracie2307 I am 5 weeks today x

Having a bit of a wobble today, my boobs just dont feel as sore today and I'm scared bc this was one of the first symptoms I noticed with both my mc's!!!

islysmum · 27/04/2021 19:37

@ActonBell thanks, it's just all so new to me and I don't know what to expect! No pain during the day it's more at night. I'm with you with the nausea, lunchtime is a nightmare with everyone making food turns my stomach!! Hopefully the carpal tunnel doesn't come back, never even realised pregnancy could cause that!!

Tryingandhopeful · 27/04/2021 20:12

@islysmum how weird I’ve been having very mild cramps too on my left side and in my left foot!! Mine also starts in the evening - so about now, and has been like it the past couple of days! Not sure if it’s there all the time but as I’m so busy with work I don’t really notice it or if it is just purely an evening thing! It is very mild though but if it carries on over the next week I might ring my MW to see if it’s anything to concern over!

@gizmo167 I’m sorry to hear about your losses 😔 how are you feeling today? Have you got any other symptoms? I am constantly symptom spotting and hoping everything with this little bub is ok, so can only imagine how you are feeling! If you’re still worried about not feeling anything maybe get in touch with your MW and see if they can refer you to the EPU for a bit of peace of mind based on your past experiences?

julzx · 27/04/2021 20:28

all, i found out i am pregnant with baby #2 on sunday i think im due around the 31st december.. although thinking i may not have had a period it could have been spotting implantation bleeding i didnt wear a pad even so who knows. A bit disheartend when the maternity centre told me to call back at 6 weeks they think im around 4 atm. Things seem really different to when in had my boy in 2018! Im glad im pregnant i thought i was going mad with the crazy mood swings but other than that im ok just some period like cramps and bloating and constipation lovely stuff! I hdx really severe morning sickness from 4 weeks last time right up until the end i hope i avoid this time... i just feel very normal which is worrying x

ActonBell · 27/04/2021 20:47

@islysmum - sorry, now I think about it I did have leg cramps at night in my first pregnancy but much later on which is why I didn’t think of it as a first trimester thing - but I’m sure it can be.
When they were really bothering me standing on a cold floor seemed to help. Eating a banana and drinking tonic water are also known remedies I think.

ActonBell · 27/04/2021 20:48

@julzx hi - it’s nerve wracking isn’t it? Hope you get some reassurance in a couple of weeks and that the wait goes quickly.

ActonBell · 27/04/2021 20:50

Today’s been the worst day yet for the nausea. I had to give up on work at 4 and have just been lying in bed since then. Starting to get worried about how I’ll cope with this if it’s like this every day.

HPmagic · 28/04/2021 09:12

Is anyone's symptoms coming and going. I don't feel sick today or anything, hope it comes later on maybe.

HolyShmoly · 28/04/2021 09:19

Hi ladies, EDD 19th December here. It's baby no 2 and I had my telephone booking in appointment last week where I managed to forget how long a pregnancy is and told the MW that I had been induced at 37+5 instead of 40+5! It wasn't until after the call that it clicked 😳 Will have to update when I'm in for my bloods next week.
I did the clear blue tests but my weeks aren't increasing, which I'm trying not to worry about too much, but it's hard not to.

No sickness, but I didn't get much last time either. First trimester boobs are well on their way though.

Tryingandhopeful · 28/04/2021 12:02

So update from me. I had more pains in my lower left side and in my left foot late last night. I rang 111 who referred me to A&E and I had my bloods done. My hcg came back at 388, I spoke with EPU this morning and she said they are very low for what they would expect but I’ve got to go in for another blood test on Friday. She said if the levels haven’t increased then we need to make a plan moving forwards 😔😔 feeling so worried and anxious now!! Has anyone else had this experience before? Everything I read relates to it being an ecotopic pregnancy 😩 fearing the worst right now

lottie198 · 28/04/2021 12:05

Hello could I join please?
First pregnancy through IVF. I'm 5 weeks so will be due end of December. I'm just absolutely terrified something is going to go wrong. I'm trying to keep busy and stay positive. I've had a bad case of ohss but it is settling down now I'm just worried as don't have really obvious symptoms ? Like my boobs aren't terribly sore , very mild nausea in the evenings. Not a lot x

catlady1234 · 28/04/2021 14:13

Hi everyone,

I'm around 6 weeks pregnant, due 22nd Dec with my first.
Iv had fertility issues in a previous relationship so I'm anxious. I have a scan on Friday at EPU because of my medical history. Has anyone else had any scans yet?

@Tryingandhopeful how are you feeling today? Are your levels far from what they should be? X

Tryingandhopeful · 28/04/2021 15:23

Hey @catlady1234 I am feeling a bit better, the pain has subsided but not sure what that means. I have started to get in my head that I’m experiencing an ectopic pregnancy 😔 just when you feel all excited and positive about BFP it quickly changes again!! Such a rollercoaster of emotions! Well the lady at EPU said she was expecting levels to be at 1000, which I’m way off at 388!! But I’ve been reading that the number does not necessarily matter so long as it doubles across 48 hours, so I’m praying my levels increase by Friday 🙏🏻🙏🏻

How come you went for a scan? How was your scan? I might have to have one at some point I reckon!

catlady1234 · 28/04/2021 15:40

@Tryingandhopeful is this your first BFP? When is your next check up?

I have my scan this Friday. With a previous partner I was trying for 2+ years, then 2 unsuccessful fresh rounds of IVF and a naturally conceived molar miscarriage later the furthest I ever got was to a 6 week scan.
I am with a new partner now and amazingly after just 2 months of trying, I am now 6 weeks pregnant. Because of my previous molar, the hospital will give me extra scans.
I can't help but think the worst because my luck before was awful. I'm not sure how I'm going to make it to Friday! 😬
