Would anyone like to Join me for some support in these early stages and to discuss symptoms.

I am age 30 and this little one is #2. I had a mmc at 12 weeks a few years ago so naturally worried this time. Also have PSOS.

Due date of 21st December 2021. Currently feeling mild tiredness, small cramps and slight nausea although I'm saying bring on the symptoms.

My nausea has turned up lots these past couple of days!! Have you got your midwife appointment now? When is your next scan?

@Tryingandhopeful just seen yours also, really clear scans. Very reassuring also.

Hi @Tryingandhopeful you little one looks soo cute, such a clear scan picture.

My symptoms aren't too bad. A bit nauseous but iv not been sick. Mainly tired, sore boobs, irritable etc.

How are you feeling?

I haven't had any appointments apart from my 2 scans. This is my first time so I'm not sure how it all works 🤷🏻‍♀️

catlady1234 · 21/05/2021 11:42

Hi @HPmagic are you excited for your scan?
Iv been soo nervous leading up to mine. I'm soo relieved seeing the baby has grown soo much in 3 weeks and seeing its heartbeat 💗 I feel on cloud 9 today!

How are you feeling?

HPmagic · 21/05/2021 11:51

My nausea has reduced the past few days, although still getting full quite quick which is unlike me and sore boobs, tiredness is manageable.

Has anyone any sign of a bump yet or too early, feel like I'm always poking it to see if it feels harder.

@HPmagic thank you!! We couldn’t believe how clear it was!! That’s exciting that you have your scan next week!! How are you feeling?

@catlady1234 aww I know seeing the heartbeat was such a relief!! Waiting for the scan felt like the longest time ever!! They did see another small sac at the appointment and the lady wasn’t sure if it was a twin that hadn’t progressed or if it was a blood clot!! She said I would know more at my 12 week scan!! Feel like it’s never ending waiting game 🙈

I’ve been feeling the exact same!! No sickness yet 🤞🏻 Have you spoken to your GP? You should have a booking in appointment with your midwife around now to talk about history etc, take bloods and get some advice! They also send off for the maternity exemption certificate and write to hospital so they can book your 12 week scan. Maybe ring your GP if you haven’t had it yet? My next scan isn’t until 17th June!

PeanuttyButter · 21/05/2021 12:42

Hi all
Well we finally caved and booked a scan, it's next week when I should be 9+3, DH is keen to start telling people and I'm not keen on doing so especially as it's so close to 12weeks already. So the compromise was telling close family with the reassurance of at least confirmation of the pregnancy iyswim.
@catlady1234 congratulations on your scan, so cute!!

Lillygolightly · 21/05/2021 16:13

Hi everyone

I am due December 23rd so I’m 9+1 with twins.

This pregnancy comes after a the loss of my son in February at 18 weeks. I also have 3DC already.

So far the pregnancy has been absolutely terrifying as I have had spotting since the start but a scan at 6+5 showed 2 little beans both with heartbeats. Then I had a bleed which convinced me I had lost them and had a few days to wait until another scan to see what was going on. That scan was last Friday and again showed 2 babies with heartbeats and no reason for the bleeding could be seen. Spotting has continued, I suspect it’s probably caused by cervical ectopy but that is not yet confirmed and so I’ve been very worried. My next scan is next Friday when I will be 10+1 and I’m just keeping everything crossed that things will be ok.

Symptoms so far have been tiredness, huge sore boobs and waves of nausea and a couple of occasions of being sick. I am sure that my being so anxious isn’t helping either as I’m just constantly worrying and desperately hoping that it’s all going to be ok. It’s very hard but at the same time I am tentatively excited.

Hi everyone! I am 26 and expecting baby #1!!! 9 weeks along yesterday but already looking very large! Suffering lots with sickness and nausea, very sore breasts. Extremely tired for most of the day, small cramps every now and then.

Got my next scan on June 15th. So far everything is looking good, got to see the little fluttering heart beat during my scan last week which was very exciting! Eager for this dating scan though because they said from measurements I look 9 + 1 weeks but from dates and last period I could be 12 +2 weeks! XD that is a big difference. Anyone else had these problems and anyone got any advice?

LAR96 · 24/05/2021 14:34

Hi and congratulations everyone!

I am pregnant for the first time and 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow! Due 21st December 2021.

I had an early scan last weekend and the baby is all good and bouncing around! Amazing!

I am a tiny size 6 and feel like my bump is starting to show now, I also haven't got many symptoms apart from feeling sick if I'm not constantly snacking!

I would definitely recommend paying for an early scan to keep mind at rest!

LAR96 · 24/05/2021 14:35

My dates were matched to the due date of 22nd December so measuring at 1 day earlier :)

PeanuttyButter · 26/05/2021 20:46

Bad news at the scan. Supposed to be 9+3 but was only measuring 6...no heartbeat either. I'm devastated as is my DH. Had no spotting since before my period was initially due. Had pregnancy symptoms and everything seemed fine. I really do wish you all good luck on your pregnancy journeys guys xx

catlady1234 · 26/05/2021 22:12

@PeanuttyButter, I'm soo sorry to hear your news. How are you feeling?

Have they booked you in for another scan to double check? X

gizmo167 · 27/05/2021 09:21

@PeanuttyButter aw hun I am so so sorry, awful news, especially when you had all the symptoms :( Be kind to yourself lovely xx

HPmagic · 27/05/2021 09:38

@PeanuttyButter sorry to hear this news it really is devastating and such a shock when you were still having symptoms. Thinking of you both and take care Thanks

Classed as a missed miscarriage. Because the amniotic sac is measuring correctly. Need to go back for a scan next Thursday to confirm and booked in for an evac under GA next Friday. It's gonna be a hard week dealing with morning sickness etc knowing I'm no longer technically pregnant

Pongo101 · 29/05/2021 06:50

Hi everyone. I've been quiet on here since I popped up early on to say I'd had a first scan but there was an empty sac.
The good news was a couple of weeks later I had another scan and my baby was there. This week I had my 12 week scan and the doctor saw some anomalies and now I'm waiting on the results of the harmony test. It's a baby boy.

So sorry for the babies that have not made it this far. I've checked in occasionally but don't feel ready to get invested too heavily just yet as I know these first months are so unpredictable.

catlady1234 · 18/06/2021 10:48

Hi everyone,

How is everyone getting on?

We had a few scans because of previous miscarriages. (6 weeks, 9 weeks, 11 weeks) all the scans have gone well- good size, heartbeat etc.

Yesterday we had our '12 week scan' although I was dated at 13w3d.
At the end of the scan we were told they were concerned about the size of the chin. They have referred us to a consultant on Monday to have a second opinion.

I have been very upset and worried about the baby. A small chin can be a marker for chromosome problems which I'm really concerned about.

We were soo excited about the baby and telling people after the scan, but now I feel like my baby bubble has burst. I'm trying to stay positive but the unknown is very worrying x

LAR96 · 18/06/2021 11:07

@@catlady1234

Hey I am well thank you, hope you are okay apart from the obvious.

never heard of small chins or if that would of ever been a problem, try to think positive, Monday is not so far away. Keep yourself busy over the weekend and try not to overthink.

Sending my best wishes x

Tryingandhopeful · 19/06/2021 20:02

@PeanuttyButter I am so sorry to hear about your loss 💔 I hope you have been managing to look after yourself!!

@Pongo101 How are you doing? Did you get your results back?

@catlady1234 awww I’m sorry to hear about how your 12 week scan went!! How are you feeling? I can imagine you’ve been so anxious this weekend!! I hope you’ve managed to try and distract yourself a little from it? I know this is slightly different but with my son, at his 20 week scan they were concerned about his neck measurements and so we had to be referred to consultant for another scan/ opinion!! I remember it was only 2 days we had to wait for that scan and omg the wait was excruciating!! The amount of googling and worrying I did was unbelievable!! However at the scan they reassured us and said that the scans are so inaccurate sometimes! He demonstrated this by showing us the neck measurement coming up as just slightly above average to off the scale depending on where he was measuring! It was a huge range! He checked for other markers for chromosomal issues and as he couldn’t see any he told us not to worry and discharged us! He said we could have had the invasive procedure to check but we didn’t want to take the risk! When my son was born turns out he just had a really chubby neck and he was all ok 🙈

The unknown is very worrying!! I really feel for you as I know you want to be telling everyone but feel scared to do it just yet until you know everything is ok 😔 what time is your appointment tomorrow?

catlady1234 · 20/06/2021 11:31

@Tryingandhopeful thanks for your message.

We will hopefully get the first screening test results tomorrow when we see the specialist. I guess those results will start to tell a story of what's going on.

Atm we are really upset and worried- I think it's the unknown that's eating us up. We keep going between best case and worst case which is really unsettling 😢 we have done exactly as you mentioned, Googling like mad etc.

I can't wait for our appointment tomorrow afternoon, but I'm also dreading it.

Iv had lots of fertility problems previously and this baby felt like all my dreams come true. We were meant to see my family today for a Father's Day thing, where we planned to tell everyone our exciting news. Instead we cancelled and I'm just still in bed feeling sorry for myself.

I think once we know what we are dealing with, We'l feel much better. X

Tryingandhopeful · 21/06/2021 18:25

@catlady1234 how did you get on today? Been thinking of you ❤️

julzx · 21/06/2021 18:55

Hi All, 12 week scan tomorrow although technically 12+5 atm... i am so nervous for a mixture of reasons. 1 with my son i had a very traumatic labour ( abruptions before during and after ) which ended with emergency c section which i nearly lost him, then i needed another procedure afterwards which i'd say was worse than the whole thing, this made me think after everything that happened i may be a little messed up on the inside. I had a MC about 6 months later - i had no idea i was pregnant as my periods hadn't came back to normal.

Roll on this time around i am absolutely terrified i have already had 2 early scans that seem to be all good, but i cant shift this thought of impending doom with googling things and analyzing every sensation in my body i feel like a crazy person.

Does anyone else have any of these anxieties? I have been reading the thread so far and i am so sorry for all the little one's who havn't made it so far, and feel very selfish writing this...
