Whew, lots happening - welcome and congratulations to the new riders @SamoyedFan123 @Florence13
I have been so exhausted lately that in the last week, aside from walking across the street to the grocery store, I have been on one dog walk and out for lunch once with my husband. The rest of the time I have spent sleeping, napping or dozing in between watching TV and a little reading. Occasionally crying at ridiculous things while watching TV. Thankfully my husband is amazing and has been working from home most of the time to do lunchtime dog walks/cleaning/procuring food. A few nights ago he came home at 7:30pm from the office, I woke up, we had a chat, I went to bed. The next morning I did not remember any of this happening - I basically didn't fully wake up through the whole interaction.
To any woman who manages to take care of children/work while feeling like this... respect.
On a non-pregnancy front: recently purchased a new rug to replace the old one that always looked dirty. New one is lovely and soft and matches the space much better.
@Haiyaa Thanks for tagging me! It gave me a little kick to get up off the couch, make some tea and do a little personal admin in front of my laptop for a while. As to your comment from a while ago - I can't actually tell if my dog is acting differently now. She wants to sit near/on me whenever I've sitting down but I'm not sure if that's because I'm more available now or she has some extra sense.
@Kirky658 I'm also a little worried about how our dog will react around a baby. Like your dog she's still young so can get over-excited in new situations and be a little full on, not exactly what you want with a newborn. Also - is jet washing a patio as satisfying as it looks? I've always wanted to try it. (And definitely take a year off to spite your boss
). And now that I've finally reached page 9 - I'm really sorry to hear your mental health hasn't been great. Has it been a consistent low mood or are there specific things that have been taking up space in your head?
@Thinkingandblinking I had a scan at 7 weeks for a little peace of mind. Really glad I did as my some of my symptoms (nausea, sore boobs and appetite) fluctuate wildly and it was making me nervous!
@Justanothercyster Feeling the same as you re: being in charge of keeping a tiny human alive. I'm trying not to think about it too much. Also, as we don't have anyone in around who can help us, I've been looking at night/maternity nurses just in case
.
@lucyrp Congrats on the good 20 week scan! The very casual pose in the ultrasound has me chuckling.
@Kate105 Hahaha hold onto that hair appointment! Everyone I know in the UK is absolutely desperate for a haircut. It's actually really funny facetiming and seeing how long their hair is (both men and women).
Few, took me a little while but caught up, for now. It's actually felt really nice sitting at my laptop with some tea and typing away.
