Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option Flowers

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me Smile I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

Let's have a little update on everyone to get started...

Yay @florence13 welcome to the group! I'm like you and @haiyaa, sitting here cautiously. Can't believe you have symptoms already.... Don't know if I'm a bit envious ahaha.

Sooo... DH & I enjoyed a little afternoon delight earlier 😉 and afterwards I had a little bit of red spotting which has scared me a bit. Last time we didn't DTD during the 1st trimester as I felt so awful but as my symptoms havnt really kicked in yet... I duno it's made me nervous. I've had no spotting since and it was only like 2 small red blobs, like little clots. You know when you sometimes blow your nose and you get the odd red blood spot/tiny clot because of a burst blood vessel or something?! Well it was like that. But naturally it's made me worry. Has anyone else had this experience & everything been okay?

Well done this doing garden DIY, I need to get out the front garden and spruce it up once the rain stops. Hope you're all well, sorry I've been quiet. Xx

@sausage1990 I hope you're OK, please try not to worry too much I know it's always easy to expect the worst! It didn't happen to me, but before I was pregnant I used to get spotting after sex and it turned out to be irritated cells lining the cervix. Apparently this can happen during pregnancy too as the blood flow down there is so concentrated. You may just have disturbed something down there. I'd say keep an eye on it and if you're still concerned, go and see your gp if you can. I'd say if there hasn't been any more and you've had no cramping, that's a really good sign. Xxx

SamoyedFan123 · 28/03/2021 20:52

@Sausage1990 try not to worry, as Kirky said it's really common to get spotting after sex during pregnancy because the cervix is so much more sensitive than normal. I know it's terrifying though - i had quite a bit of bleeding in the first three weeks of this pregnancy, small red bleeds every couple of days. Turned out to be a little haematoma that reabsorbed after 6 weeks and haven't had any issues since, but it was incredibly stressful at the time.

@kirky658 great work with the jet washing - i wish I could summon up the energy to do mine as the patio looks awful. Looks like we're in for some nice weather this week so maybe I'll go for it 😊

Kirky658 · 28/03/2021 20:55

@samoyedfan123 thanks hun I'm just glad we got it done! To be honest I think I'm starting to get my energy back at last, ran 4 miles this morning, walked the dog for 2 then did the jet washing! I will sleep tonight for sure haha. I know it's gonna be lovely this week; sods law as I'm off next from Thursday for a week and it's gonna go rubbish again😭

Thinkingandblinking · 28/03/2021 20:55

@Sausage1990 it’s so hard not to freak, but think it’s quite common! I even had full on gush with my youngest DC after midwife examined me, was terrified but all ok!

Hey @Florence13 welcome to the sidecar...I could have started a franchise in pregnancy tests..found the cheapies didn’t progress after a point so needed to use weeks indicator for reassurance, I know people don’t always understand why people poas repeatedly but I find it did help calm me down!

Justanothercyster · 28/03/2021 21:01

@Kate105 that must have been awful to go through alone 😰

@Sausage1990 tbh we've only had sex once a week and only very gently (not fully in) at that as I'm too terrified! I'm sure it will all be ok, but just keep an eye on it in case x

DJmum83 · 28/03/2021 22:12

@Florence13 yay so pleased for you. Lovely to have you on the bus.

Well everyone I have had a good day today felt so much better still nauseous at times but can handle that.

Even managed to paint my wee girls room and strip wallpaper. Long may it continue.
We have decided to redecorate so painters start week tomorrow and all new carpets 2 weeks tomorrow so excited.

How's everybody else xx

Sausage1990 · 28/03/2021 22:53

@kirky685 @samoyedfan123 @thinkingandblinking @justanothercyster thank you for your replies ladies. It's reassuring to know others have has similar experience, even if they have been different, and you're probably right it's just my cervix being irritated or blood flow or something. I'll definitely keep an eye on things. Thankfully nothing since so I'm keeping everything crossed there won't be any more. I have however told DH that I don't think I can DTD again until we've got past the scariest part of this pregnancy. He was more than okay with it thankfully, super supportive! I'm going to try to get some sleep now and keep my brain as calm as possible... I have no frer left to paos tomorrow but I do have some chepies so thays definitely happening 😕 I need to try to stay calm. God I wish this wasn't so hard. Thank you as ever for you support girls 💕😘

Haiyaa · 28/03/2021 23:32

@Sausage1990 I spotted after DTD during the 2ww (I had thought maybe implantation bleed) but could have been the blood flow to the cervix as it was only 6 DPO. I’m pretty sure it’s quite normal though, but not very helpful when you are anxious.

Hooray for feeling better @DJmum83! Sounds like you have picked a great time to redecorate 🤪🤪🤪 I can’t say anything though as we are doing the kitchen, cloak room and bathroom this year... FFS!

@Kirky658 I can’t even with you! I’m tired just reading what you have done today! 😂 Nice to have some of the big items paid for. What pram are you thinking? We have a Giggle 3 from DD but warning the basket is shit. I guess you’ll want a running one?

Kirky658 · 29/03/2021 06:11

@haiyaa I'm like a duracell bunny some days I can't stop! But I slept badly last night, sciatica kept me awake. So plan this morning is dog walk and brekkie with DH, he goes to work at 7, then back for a snooze for me 😊 no idea on the Pram yet, seen a few I like the look of, but there is a bit pram Superstore 10 mins away so we are going to go there and have a look when the 20 week scan is done xx

Sausage1990 · 29/03/2021 09:22

Hi girlies,
Thank you for your kind words & support yesterday, i am feeling slightly calmer today. no spotting since and no cramps. i did have a few little sharp ones but really tiny and very much could have been gas. nothing since.

@DJmum83 glad you're feeling better, i hope for you that this is the start to the end of the awful nausea.

@Kirky658 God im exhaused just reading about your busy day too ahaha. although not good about your shitty sleep & sciatica SadToday i feel like I've been hit by a bus - absolutley zero energy. Very envious of your nap plans haha I've been awake since 7.30am and i could go back to bed right now and sleep for a week!!!

How's everyone doing? xx

The clocks going forward have absolutely fucked me over. I had just about sorted w sleeping pattern and baby's movement pattern and now it's all gone to pot. Normally awake at 6am and ready to go for the day but today at 7am it was a struggle 😭🥺

DJmum83 · 29/03/2021 09:48

@Sausage1990 glad your feeling a bit better today. I'm sure it was just a bit of irritation nothing to worry about.
Did you do an IC today?

Honestly I'm feeling so much better and now I'm panicking something has went wrong because I feel ok I have prayed to feel better, what is wrong with me.

Roll on my scan xx

SamoyedFan123 · 29/03/2021 10:03

@Sausage1990 glad you're feeling better today and there's been no further bleeding. Try to relax as much as you can today xxx
@DJmum83 i remember the desperation to feel better, abs then the stress it causes when you do! It's such a roller coaster but remember that it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go in the first trimester - it doesn't mean anything is wrong. When is your scan?

@lucyrp the clock changes are a pain in the arse aren't they! Twins were up at 5.30 this morning instead of 6.30 😭 before I got pregnant again I used to get up at 4.30 am to go out running while everybody was still asleep, but now I've gotten so lazy I hate getting up before 7 😂

Florence13 · 29/03/2021 10:09

@Kate105 @Thinkingandblinking thanks for the welcome.

@DJmum83 aww so glad your feeling better we are currently in the process of trying to decorate rooms as well.

@Sausage1990 thanks for the welcome, sorry to hear about the spotting but glad your feeling better today.

@Kirky658 sorry to hear about the sleep and sciatica hope it gets better.

Sausage1990 · 29/03/2021 11:58

@DJmum83 yes I did to the cheapy this morning... I think it's a bit darker. They're similar tho so it's hard to tell. But the darkness of the rest should be reassurance enough.

@djmum83 how many weeks are you now? X

@sausage1990 all looks good on those tests to me hun.

So after jet washing yday I'm now looking at it thinking it doesn't look as good as I thought it did 😕 it's definitely cleaner than it was but doesn't look the best. Also the felt roof has been ripped off the roof of our summerhouse by the wind and we've lost a roof tile so waiting for the roofer to stop messing us about and come and sort it. And finally my laptop for work is playing up and IT's response is they don't know why!!!! Happy Monday.

DJmum83 · 29/03/2021 12:27

@SamoyedFan123 thank you. I know your right. I'm getting plenty of waves of nausea if I don't eat often so that's reassuring.
Scans 19th April I'll be 13 weeks. How many weeks are you?

@Kirky658 I'm 10 weeks today starting to fly in now I'm back at work xx

lucyrp · 29/03/2021 13:26

@SamoyedFan123 so annoying!

@Sausage1990 I didn't notice any change in darkness etc on the Femometer strips, apart from mine started to get lighter from 25dpo. The darkness of the line doesn't mean anything, only that there is a line there xx

Kirky658 · 29/03/2021 13:42

@djmum83 crikey 10 weeks that's gone fast! I did read that you can start to feel better from around then as you get more used to the hormones! Unfortunately for me that wasn't the case 😅 I am 16 weeks Wednesday.

SamoyedFan123 · 29/03/2021 13:51

@DJmum83 I'm 25 +1 today. Bet you can't wait til the 19th April! That's the day of my GD test 😕

@Sausage1990 your test looks great for 18dpo to me! Definitely darker than the 16dpo one.

Florence13 · 29/03/2021 15:38

@Sausage1990 that test looks fab.

@Kirky658 sorry to hear your not having the best start to the week.

@DJmum83 I can’t believe your 10 weeks already that’s crazy.

Thinkingandblinking · 29/03/2021 17:38

Did anyone go for early scan and if so through GP or private. I hate scans and almost wonder if I should just not bother and what will be will be but on other-side I’m really freaking out still...

lucyrp · 29/03/2021 17:52

@Thinkingandblinking I went for one at 8 weeks and I'm really glad we waited until then. I paid privately but only £45. It was worth it for the piece of mind and being able to see how much they've grown between then and the 12 week. We saw their heartbeat and little limb buds waving at us 🥺

Kate105 · 29/03/2021 17:59

@Thinkingandblinking I had an early scan at 7 weeks but that was NHS due to previous ectopic. Was a massively reassuring experience to see it was in the right place and had a heartbeat etc, but I think they have really strict rules for early scan eligibility. I think even in some areas they're not routinely giving early scans for previous ectopics due to Covid at the moment.
