Minster's Side car bumping along - TTC Graduates Bus 1

Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option Flowers

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me Smile I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

Let's have a little update on everyone to get started...

HI ladies - enjoying the sleep chat.
I'm like you @minster2012 and i sleep on my front. I'm currently struggling wiht that as laying on my stomach is making me feel really sick so im currently surrounded by all the pillows to prop me up in a position thats comfortable. once im asleep tho i dont know what i do but i often wake on my stomach. But i really enjoy a pillow between my knees and ankles when im on my side - super comfy given that ive had achey hips at night recently.

With regards to symptoms @minster2012 the soming & going of them is alwasy a worry for me. ive had a few better days with my nausea where ive not needed anti sickness tablets, i mean ive still felt sick but ive had moment where i feel quite functional and NATURALLY it makes me worry that something has gone wrong. Then i have to rationalise that it doesnt mean that at all. its hard work. so i get that the boobs being less painful worrys you. if it reassures you ive bearly had any boob pain at all. a bit of aching occassionally but otherwise none at all.

Also pram chat - i havent really looked yet this time but last pregnancy i was fully into all the research really early haha and i love the Cosatto stuff. And im probably going to get a travel set and use the carry cot as a sleeping place for visiting & with grandparents. my mum said she sused hers LOADS with me and my SIL loved hers with my niece. Ive also got a moses basket already from my SIL so i dont need to buy one, just a new mattress. x

Having weird crampy pulling pains this morning ladies. I don't like it. They're like above and below my bump. I'm so paranoid right now. 21 weeks today and keep telling myself get to 24 weeks and she can survive if she is born xx

2020mission · 05/05/2021 09:59

@Minster2012 my bloods hurt some days and not others and only every really near the underarm area or nipples when I lie on my front. I'm getting queasy on and off and still very low appetite but still not bad enough to need medicine. I binned some bananas and yoghurt yesterday as the thought of them was making me gag too. Couldn't keep them in the house a moment longer 😅 I'm tempted to call the midwife not to register as I'm a day passed 6 weeks but scared to jinx it.

2020mission · 05/05/2021 10:04

@Minster2012 boobs not bloods 😆

lucyrp · 05/05/2021 10:06

@2020mission I called the midwife at 5 weeks🤣🙈

I still sleep on my side/front now at 25 weeks🙈

2020mission · 05/05/2021 10:07

@Kirky658 I'm sure all is fine you'll probably start to feel a lot more in the coming weeks being in the second trimester completely understand how anything new is unnerving. 24 weeks is a good thing to focus on!

Kirky658 · 05/05/2021 10:20

@2020mission I rang the midwife at 5 weeks too 😂 sooner you get registered, sooner your get your scans etc booked in! Some dates to look forward to then.

Yeah you're right, it is just everything growing I reckon. Just find it weird now how I've seen our little girl and probably won't see her again now till she's born, find it weird how they just use your bump size to keep track of growth, surely it can be so different between ladies... Ah well

2020mission · 05/05/2021 10:24

@Kirky658 Aww yeah I hadn't thought about the fact that the 20 week scan is the last you get. Did you have any early ones before the 12 weeks scan? I'm sure you'll feel ok when you start feeling her kicking and seeing your bump get bigger as that will reassure you that she's growing well

Sausage1990 · 05/05/2021 10:24

@2020mission Call the midwives :) i know its scary but you cna do it. It feels nice once you've made it official and then they can give you some idea when your booking appointment will be!

@kirky658 I agree wiht 2020mission, its probably just your muscles stretching & growing as baby grows. your bodys not done this before so im sure aches & pains are normal. ut if youre worried, maybe call your midwife for reassurance :)

@2020mission I had an early scan at 7 weeks and then the 12 and 20 weeks and that's it so far! It doesn't help I've got an anterior placenta so that will be disguising her kicks and movements until she's big enough.

@sausage1990 thankyou lovely, I'm not overly concerned it's just a bit disconcerting.

My neighbour had her baby boy by c section at 36 weeks yesterday, weighing 4lb 8oz. He's the cutest thing I've ever seen x

Minster2012 · 05/05/2021 11:07

@2020mission call the midwives, it won't change anything except maybe give you stuff to be excited about

@Kirky658 surely cramps at this stage is great news, she's totally stretching you out 🤣getting real nice and comfy

@Kate105 another weird creepy sleeper! Who knew they'd be so many 🤣

Florence13 · 05/05/2021 13:28

Sorry girls been really busy at work I have been reading but not had chance to reply.

@DJmum83 so chuffed about your results.

@Kirky658 loved your gender reveal cake and I second what others have said about the stretching and things.

@Minster2012 glad your taking it easy and oh my goodness yes the discharge is unreal.

@2020mission ring the midwife hun as others have said it also gives you things to look forward to and gets things moving.

@SamoyedFan123 sorry to hear your still in and out being monitored but fab news about the car.

Not much to report here 13 and a bit weeks now which is crazy. Haven’t yet started looking at prams but might start doing some research but will wait to go shopping until after 20 week scan.

@lucyrp love your second hand purchase that is lovely!

2020mission · 05/05/2021 17:36

I was going to call up to book in today but have had some cramping this afternoon and red flood when wiping not just spotting 😭 . We haven't had sex since Monday so can't blame that again. I think it's another chemical/early miscarriage. Absolutely gutted.

Kirky658 · 05/05/2021 18:06

@2020mission oh hun.. I'm so so sorry. Forgive my ignorance, is there anyone who you can call to get checked over? Reason I ask is because my mum literally bled like crazy with me, every month till 4 months like a proper period and I was fine xx

2020mission · 05/05/2021 18:12

It's happened at the worst time @Kirky658 all the early pregnancy units in the area are closed by now and my GP 😔 I'm not in severe pain my cramps were only slight and I don't have any right now. I think I just have to wait it out and see how the next few hours go. I've put a liner on to keep an eye on how much comes out. If it stays light and I don't get severe pain I'll wait and call my GP first thing in the morning. It's really upset my husband I've never seen him like this I think because we had such strong positives and never got to 6 weeks before we really thought we were on to a successful pregnancy this time. The chemicals before were always between 4-5 weeks.

Kirky658 · 05/05/2021 18:24

@2020mission oh lovely ❤️ let's hope it is just a blip, keep us posted. Sending good vibes xxx

Minster2012 · 05/05/2021 20:18

@2020mission it could be like me?? Lots of ppl have bleeds throughout and are fine, I was talking to my MN friend earlier and she said she had a haematoma like me throughout her pregnancy & her girl is 6 months now, it's not over don't forget what you told me, I'm in the same boat, I went to a&e who then got me a scan but only Cos it was the weekend sending allllll the hugs

2020mission · 05/05/2021 20:26

@Minster2012 that's true. I was in shock when I posted I haven't seen any more blood... yet. I've got a liner on and watching closely. It was just a shock as I wiped after a pee and looked down (as you do every time these early weeks with every pee) and just saw red all over the paper far more than spotting and took a number of wipes to clear. I then felt the cramping when I left the bathroom a minute later and you can't help but assume the worst is happening at the time.

Thanks for the support too @Kirky658 I'll definitely keep you all posted. Just need to keep fingers crossed and hope it's just one of those things and not the start of anything bad 🤞

Justanothercyster · 05/05/2021 20:38

@Minster2012 see I was worried for ages as not much discharge at all, but I suppose everyone is different. And yes side sleeping is something I've been working on too haha, find it impossible as I always sleep on my back but pillows help. It's because if you sleep on your back you push down on major arteries that can lower the baby's blood pressure and increase the risk of still birth. Not too much of an issue in the first trimester though, only when it's bigger, second onwards.

@Kirky658 try not to worry too much, ligaments and all that. I know the fear though, hugs x

@2020mission oh lovely I really hope it's just nothing, sending hugs to you

@Florence13 I'm the same, 13 +4 today, how are you feeling?

Minster2012 · 05/05/2021 20:42

@2020mission it's so horrible, I'm pleased but not pleased I ended up with the scan as now I'm more freaked out & gone backwards date wise but I do know about the clot and to be careful...it will only be next week at the repeat scan the baby situation so if it's only cramping and some on wiping then maybe see how it goes? Only cos I'm freaking out more now & finding it hard to concentrate on things even

SamoyedFan123 · 05/05/2021 21:00

@2020mission i'm so sorry you're having this stress hun - it's just awful. I'm another one that bled quite a bit on and off during weeks 3 to 7 of this pregnancy - every 2 tob3 days I would have a little red bleed that works last a couple of hours then turn to brown spotting. It was incredibly stressful but turned out to be just a little haematoma that resolved itself by the time I was 8 weeks. Try to stay positive if you possibly can ❤️

@minster2012 as others have said - no need to worry about back sleeping until you're about 16 to 20 weeks - it's fine until then.

Sausage1990 · 05/05/2021 21:01

@2020mission I'm sorry you've had a little bleed. It's really scary isn't it. But as the others have said, it doesn't mean it's bad news. I'd ring the gp or epu in the morning tho for some reassurance if you need it.

@minster2012 I'm in the same headspace, hard to concentrate on anything other than the upcoming scan. Every thing is making me worry. My nausea is going in an out between good & bad days (I mean the bad days is till feel sick but I don't need anti-sickness tabs) and I cannot get the last scan out if my head about dates too. They dates me behind where I thought I was too. Only 4 days but still behind and Im so worried that they'll date me later again on Friday. Or there will have been no progress or no heartbeat. Oh dear. My head is in a tricky place. Worst case scenario. I've not been here yet, I've managed to keep it at bay but it's so close now... I'm shitting myself. Sorry for ranting xx

I've had some wierd crampy feelings and wierd heavy feeling in my uterus area. And my hips are so achey. It feels like period cramps. I'm in a worrying headspace and it's worrying me alot. Although I know it doesn't mean anything bad.
