Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

@Kate105 🧛‍♀️ Vampire sleepers unite! Do all the pillows placed around you reduce cuddling? I love a good spoon and am a little annoyed at the prospect of not having that in a few months!

Was supposed to have my 13week scan today but my doctor ended up having to attend a delivery - can’t really argue with that! Plus, it’s only been bumped to tomorrow. Felt a little down about having to wait another day as, assuming all is well, we were FINALLY going to tell some people tonight. Then I felt annoyed with myself for feeling that way about such a minor, privileged non-issue. 😕 Either way, bring on tomorrow.

Hi all, sorry I’ve been absolutely crap at keeping up on here. Had really awful nausea the past week. So sorry to everyone who’s having a worrying time - I never knew that actual pregnancy could be so stressful it feels like we spend all this time waiting to get there and worrying about what’s going on and then once we do it’s just a whole new battle and set of worries!
Sending love to everyone, I really hope all is OK. If it’s any kind of reassurance at all every single friend I’ve had that has been pregnant said they had some bleeding in the early stages, not just brown but actual bright red, some a fair amount, and each one went on to have a healthy baby.
I’ve found this thing called ‘miscarriage reassurer’ that I personally find good to use when I’m having a little worry. I think it can seem worse as so many people on here have unfortunately suffered miscarriages etc so it’s kind of concentrated if you see what I mean?

@minster2012 the scans tomorrow. And I'm just going to try to focus on getting through the day. DH said we'll watch a film or start a new series of together tonight so we can distract ourselves be tomorrow. I'm feeling quite crampy today but I can't tell if it's like nervy belly cramps (like essentially you just need to go to the bathroom) or if it's baby related cramps. I keep panicking every time I feel cm too... I need to take a chill pill. I'm hoping & praying for a wiggly baby 🙏🏻

@ttcabroad gutted they've moved your scan so I can't tell people later but good that you only have to wait 1 more day 👍🏻

@asthenia I'm sorry you've had a rough week. Ive had a rough few weeks nausea wise but settling now with the help of some meds. How many weeks are you now? Xx

@2020mission oh hun sorry you have had some bleeding but keeping everything crossed it has settled and you manage to get some reassurance.

@Sausage1990 sorry to hear your feeling so anxious but it’s completely normal your nearly at your scan and I’m sure everything is going to be fine. Looking forward to your update tomorrow.

Thanks all for crossing your fingers for me. I'm not in any pain and just had brown tinged CM last night and this morning so assuming it's left overs from the bleed late afternoon. I called the booking line to book in this morning and had the least friendliest receptionist ever. "Name! Date of birth! Last Period!" I asked her what I should do about the bleed and she just read out the number of the early pregnancy unit. I'm not going to call yet as I have no pain and bleeding right now. I was hoping to speak to a midwife and get their advice after having booked in. I'm surprised my booking appointment isn't over the phone either it's in the hospital and I was told I have to go alone. I thought it would be a phone booking appointment then going somewhere just for the bloods at a later date. Feels all very clinical right now and unfriendly. Still a waiting game!

@Sausage1990 hopefully by tomorrow as soon as your appointments over you will be feeling so much better 🤞

@Asthenia was wondering where you disappeared to sorry you've been feeling sick. Hopefully won't last too long.

@Sausage1990 ah tomorrow now for you both @TTCAbroad scans but @Sausage1990 I can totally understand the worry today & getting through it, that's a morning done anyway!

@2020mission pleased you have no more bleeding, after I sent my referral in the midwife called to introduce herself & was so lovely whereas o then became a blubbering mess, so I'm sore it's just the receptionist who is barky! My appointment is face to face too, I quite like that though getting out and about is good for me

@Florence13 I'm hanging in thanks, literally counting down the days til next scan and hoping something is going on inside 🤞🏻I'm pretty jealous of those ppl who have symptoms I'm not going to lie 😬

I have a slight right side constant twinges, like a stitch? Anyone else had that?

DH & I had a chat about how the first trimester is pure anxiety not fun but I just how to get through it

Aww that's nice @Minster2012 how soon after you booked did she call? It would be nice if someone did call me as I could then tell them about the bleed and get a bit of reassurance. I'm not too bothered about having to go in for the appointment it was more because my husband isn't allowed to come. If it was a phone appointment we'd have it on speaker and he could join and also I could have the appointment without booking time off work that way 😅 maybe in 3 weeks they will allow partners to join? Even if he had to wait outside until I'm called in. I haven't had twinges but it sounds completely normal. Still just feeling sick/no appetite and boobs slightly sore. Which day is your scan?

@Florence13 yeah ☺️ 6th Nov for me. I'm good, having a hungry day but not feeling anything else so naturally I'm worried haha. I can't wait to see bub again.

@2020mission I did the online referral & she called the following week, to introduce herself, not sure if it's standard, don't remember them doing it last year but she did say something about "me being a complex medical history patient" 🤣I never made it to the booking appointment last year so I've been sent the full form to fill in and I don't know whether to do it tomorrow to pass the time or leave it til after the scan til we know what's going on. Not sure what's best for me mentally really 🤷🏼‍♀️scan next weds morning

So. I took my weekly bump pic this morning and it looks like it's smaller than last week 😔 not really sure how I feel about it, maybe I was constipated last week 🤔😅 ill say one thing though omg I'm. So. Bloody. Hungry. All. The. Time!!!!

@Kirky658 aww I'm bub is ok in there haha, maybe it was the constipation! I seem to have developed a bump overnight 🙈 probably nothing compared to yours but every time I look down I think omg where did that come from haha!

@Minster2012 oh hun when is your next scan? I didn’t really get many symptoms if it’s any consolation just more food aversions to be honest.

@2020mission glad you haven’t had anymore bleeding and it’s settled to brown hope it all stays settled for you.

@Florence13 it's next weds morning, yeah I don't have anything, I did have cramps& sore /growing boobs for the first 2 weeks & no sleep then literally nothing since other than the pain & bleeding. Still eating everything, no heightened smell, boobs gone back down & nothing. Maybe slightly constipated but seeing as I control my bowels with loperamide I've just taken less so I don't know if it's pregnancy or just me changing that. Another reason I'm worried. Literally feel nothing again 🥺

@Minster2012 oh hun if it’s any consolation that was me to my symptoms disappeared on and off and never really got that much. The sore boobs have just come back again at 13 weeks but had disappeared completely but it does make you worry.

@Minster2012 people have symptoms and still have a MMC so I don't think you can assume anything based on symptoms or lack of! I mean I don't feel confident that things are going well given my bleed yet I am really struggling to finish a meal it took me 2 hours of spooning at my cereal this morning to finish it 😅 I used to be a mid morning snacker eating biscuits too but no chance of that now. I haven't had any cramping for over a week either except for just after that bleed yesterday so that's not a symptom that's stuck around... maybe just implantation in the early weeks?

@Justanothercyster lovely bump shot but can't help but wonder what's in the big box behind you 😆

@Kirky658 given how I can look pregnant from just eating a big burger some days, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about with not seeing an obvious difference in a week. I'm sure it would have been bloating, a full stomach or water retention that just added to the last photo.

Haha @TTCAbroad I am also a snuggler so the pillow stays firmly out of the bed until we are about to go to sleep! We've named him Pasha 😂🙈

Glad everyone seems to have had a slightly less anxious decent enough day today! The first trimester is horrifically anxiety inducing!

@lucyrp thanks lovely! I'm wondering if she had a big growth spurt and is getting snuggly for a bit now lol. Glad your 25 weeks check went well today, was it just measuring your bump, BP etc? X

@Kirky658 yeah i honestly don't feel like mine had changed at all since week 20 but expecting by week 28 to be bigger. umm no measuring of bump they only start that at week 28! it was just BP, having a feel of the baby to see where they are lay, listening to heartbeat, urine sample and just chatting about any questions or concerns i had! i was so confused as she told me i turned 25 weeks roday but thought i was 25+3 yesterday and double checked it myself a few times and checked my dating scan and asked some friends and they said i'm definitely right so i'm not sure how they work it out! my next appointment is only in 2 and a half weeks! i thought as a STM i had less appointments but so far i've had 7,16,25 and i still have 28,31,34,36,38,40 and 41 🤷🏼‍♀️

Scan done any everything looks good! Got to see some wiggling and kicking which was lots of fun. Only thing that was worrying was my blood pressure which was 138/78 😱 I’ve never had blood pressure that high in my life - usually it hangs out around 110/60. I’m going to need to start exercising again and review my diet. Doctor seemed concerned but not massively worried and we are going to keep an eye on it. Other than that, it was a relief to have this scan over. Now we can start telling people 🙂

@lucyrp I'm being seen again at 23 weeks and by a consultant at 24 as well so I guess at 28 too 😂 fun times!

@2020mission awwww glad all is well. Sorry to hear about the BP, very normal for it to be high they will just want to keep an eye on you. I'm on aspirin to keep mine low x
