Minster's Side car bumping along - TTC Graduates Bus 1

Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

@Sausage1990 I'm so so sorry to read this, I was really rooting for it all to be ok. Life is cruel at times, and very unfair. I hope you have good support around you 😘😘
Let's hope they can get some answers as to why so that something can be done to help. God I could cry for you-big hugs xxx

I've spent the day in our MAU after concerns I was leaking fluid after running this morning. After 7 hours waiting in MAU they finally deduced that my cervix was firmly closed, I had a lot of discharge so they've swabbed that, but put the wetness down to sweat and excess discharge. Lovely. And the pains I've been having were normal. Heartbeat was 158bpm so very strong. DH had to wait downstairs in the unit, wouldn't let him in, so he's been waiting there all day for me. X

Can you drink too much water in pregnancy? I've got a stinking headache and already drink over 3 litres??? Not really helped much though, that might be the toddler not helping

@minster2012 not sure, I know it is technically possible to drink too much water but it's like loads and loads and loads! You're OK to take paracetamol if you need x

Have you cut out caffeine or anything recently @Minster2012? I wouldn't worry about drinking too much unless you are downing them quickly. If it's just regular sips that will be fine. I'm the opposite my stomach doesn't like anything going in even water is a struggle 😅 so I'm probably a little dehydrated over here. Also still spotting 😑 but no pain and only spotting on and off so trying to keep hopeful. I think I'm still in shock after what happened with sausage yesterday too - this first trimester is just torture! I don't know if I could do this again if it goes wrong

@2020mission no not recently, & I always have to drink 3litres of fluid per day since I lost my bowels but I have only had one caffeinated coffee per day since jan 2020 so def not that, if you are still spotting on Monday maybe worth an EPU call.

@Minster2012 omg I'm CONSTANTLY drinking water lol so thirsty all the time, I told dh I might as well just have an IV drip in me 😂

@DJmum83 ooh lovely, jealous! We've been doing lots of house stuff, nearly all boxes unpacked now 🙌🏼

Am I the only one that doesn't have loads of cm?? Should I worry about that? It's barely anything. Also, when will the "horny hormones" begin for me 😫 not interested at all!

@Justanothercyster when I'm pregnant I don't feel like having sex at all.
Poor hubby knows that's the way I go we are lucky if we do it once or twice. It's just not there for me. And I think hubby feels the same.
I have only started this week with loads of cm I keep having to change my pants.

@DJmum83 @Kirky658 I'm glad it's not just me then! I obviously humour him but if my libido was crap before it definitely is now! Ah well, preparation for crying baby interrupting it anyway 😂

@DJmum83 that sounds amazing! Enjoy, we've got a Gousto meal of sausage bun & American mustard/pickle for tea and chips which, in the usual way of making homemade chips, the chips are not really crispy and took an hour 😫got my nosecco too.

@Justanothercyster DH & I had sex 5 times over the 2 weeks after BFP, but that's usual for us (if a little less) and though he knows it's a sex Ban now he's like "you can have my sausage in the morning" after I made a comment about tea, but he won't push it. I think we just have a high sex drive so I think it's each to their own too, plus a lot of us are petrified of the first bit (I def am now) 😢

Ohh @Minster2012 what's nosecco like? Last time I got a BFP I bought a bottle of alcohol free white wine and it was just overpriced grape juice in a bottle 😅 I'm pouring fruit juice and half soda into cocktail classes and pretending it's a cocktail. Your dinner looks nice (if I had an appetite)!

My husband is doing well with the week of no sex so far but it's going to get tougher the more days that pass. It's just too scary right now when I'm spotting to risk it.

@Justanothercyster we have sex usually about once a week at the moment sometimes more but in the first trimester we barely did at all and can see it getting less now as I approach third trimester 🙈 it's very odd for us though as we have a high sex drive normally

@2020mission it's ok, the m&s one is nice, this is Sainsbury's and it's a weirder flavour and I really like the kopparberg no alcohol cider. But on a Saturday I like to feel like I'm unwinding with a wine glass in hand & to me it does have that effect. The nicest one is the scavi & ray "Prosecco" you can get it from dry drinkers but the belle & co sparkling wines I like too. I'd def stay away from sex if spotting

@justanothercyster yep likewise. We are about once a week at the weekends usually when we aren't too knackered!

@djmum83 awwww enjoy your couple time that sounds lovely. We've booked 2 nights away beginning of June, on countdown!

We were meant to be having pan friend Sea bass, salsa verde, potatoes and veg for tea. But we had a huge full English for lunch and are not that hungry so we'll have a ristorante pizza from the freezer and some salad. Not that healthy esp as we had maccies on the way from the hospital last night but i'll start again next week....

@Sausage1990 oh hun I am so so sorry to read your news I feel absolutely heartbroken for you.

@Minster2012 I am also enjoying non alcoholic cider and helps me feel like I am unwinding on days off.

On the sex front we probably only manage three times a week at the moment which is less than normal. Feel like I’m getting more up for it in second trimester though.

@Justanothercyster I’m also pretty off sex. I was hoping the beginning of the second trimester might change things but nope... dry as a bone 6/7 days 🙄 I want to want to have sex!

I went to my first pre-natal Pilates class yesterday which was great! Had some night conversation with some of the other ladies there which was kinda strange - just chatting about pregnancy after keeping quiet for so long! Parents and sibling have been told and I was kind of surprised by how excited everyone was!

@Minster2012 woah lucky! We used to be at it like rabbits but over the years just got lazy 😂 and I don't feel in the mood hardly ever

@Justanothercyster i was scared at the beginning but then it just got that it was really uncomfortable whatever position we tried so we gave up 😂 although i do find that the river of discharge doesn't exactly excite me for sex at the moment 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 yes agree with the name

Morning, living reading the chit chat from last night! I second the M&S cider it’s really nice with ice, and I like a necks blue shandy....

No sex here, I can’t as so stressed it might cause bleeding and I know I would freak, can tell hubby is missing it but totally understands why!

I got a Doppler, I know there are lots of warnings and tbh when I can feel baby will not use, but atm it’s helped my anxiety a bit!

Well to add to the sex chat, as on a ban I let DH feel up all over my tits last night & wank over them so back to the days of sticky tits! I did tell him he should lick it off afterwards but he wasn't keen!

Second day of a raging headache here today, worsened overnight & ive got little spots on my face. Is this the start of symptoms??
