Minster's Side car bumping along - TTC Graduates Bus 1

Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

@Florence13 had another snot cry early as a massive spider jumped out as we were driving home and dh couldn't stop so naturally I was in foetal position on the seat crying and begging it to stay away. Worst thing is we can't find it now so new car it is....

@Sausage1990 it's absolutely normal that you would be feeling like this after last time, all I can say is try to keep distracted and keep focusing on the fact that you've not had any signs of MC. I'm sure your little bean will be fine xx
Honestly and we were worried about the tww! The first trimester is WAY worse.

@2020mission honestly I was beside myself haha! He does yes, but we need to make sure he goes back under his heat lamp regularly to warm up so he can digest his food properly whilst it's cold.
Ahhh the sickness and nausea stage, I do not miss that at all! Hope it's mild for you x

@Kirky658 oh no! I hope it works out for you tonight, it's a horrid day. Sounds silly but do you know the gender or will you be finding out with everyone else?

@justanothercyster not a stupid question at all, we know we are having a little girl it's just for our family to find out in a nice way! I know it's not the traditional proper way ie we aren't meant to know but I wanted to make a nice cake x

@Sausage1990 oh hun I completely understand where your at time goes so very slow and also get the not knowing but also wanting to know. All I can say is just keep taking each day as it comes. I finally feel like the cloud that was hanging over me has started to lift now I’ve had my 12 week scan so just hang in there.

@Kirky658 oh hun yes the weather is rubbish hope it settles and your gender reveal all goes well.

@2020mission sorry to hear you think the morning sickness is starting to creep in. I agree mints are the way forward.

I'm not having a very good bank holiday today. I just went for a pee and wiped to see pink tinged CM amongst clear CM. We had sex this morning so there's a chance it's came from that but this is how the chemicals started the last 2 times 🙁 it's a case of just seeing how the next few days go I guess...

@2020mission everyone's reactions were so lovely - much needed after my slaving away with the cake 😂
Sorry to hear about the cm, its common to have after sex I've had it during pregnancy too. Hope it clears up lovely, sending hugs,xx

I second what Kirky says @2020mission it's stressful but really common, especially after sex. Keeping everything crossed for you and @Minster2012 I'm just catching up now but it sounds as if it's been a hell of a bank holiday for you xxx

@2020mission try not to worry too much, as others have said it might be your cervix being irritated after sex, I'm sure all is going to be ok x

@Florence13 @TickTockTee I'm trying to rest as much as possible 🤞🏻and also wishing The days away I'm totally with @Sausage1990 on that it's awful especially when you think most miscarriages have "signs" and many of us have had missed ones that didn't, so we don't really ever relax. But darling @Sausage1990 you've been throwing up royally which I take lots of hope from (weird I know) and it's Cos this baby is here to stay 🌈you too @2020mission pink CM, PAH! It's nothing, except hella scary, I'm with you on knicker watch. Even wearing white ones so I can see

@Kirky658 that looks fantastic sorry the lovely bank holiday weather spoilt it, and it's up to everyone if they want to find out gender or not? There's no right or wrong way surely??

@kirky685 ohh I'm gutted for you that the weather made your gender reveal plans tricky but the cake looks so good!!!

@2020mission lush 6 weeks feels like a little milestone in itself... Well it did to me lol. As the others have said try not to worry too much about the spotting, I had some red spotting after sex around 5-6 weeks and we actually havnt since because it got us both too anxious. Tbh we're in an abstenence phase like @minster2012 because unfortunately orgasm was causing me to have really painful cramps immediately after and then dull cramps for ages after. So we decided that any form of sex was odd the table for now. Just isn't worth the risk. But lots of people still have sex without a problem, maybe just be gentler next time 💕

@thinkingandblinking thank you for your advice on taking it 1 step at a time. You're right. And I do agree that any form of loss creates some level of ptsd. I didn't think I'd struggle like I have tbh... But we will all get through it 🙏🏻 plant buying is a good distraction, however Im not a great plant mum so I don't want overstretch myself and kill them all... Lol

@justanothercyster oh god the spider in the car... Just set the car on fire! Its the only sensible solution haha. And yes you're right, this is so much worse than the TWW 🙈 I'm trying not to overthink everything, like tonight I've had a few small sharp pains in my uterus area and they come & go, and I'm trying very hard to ignore them. It's going to be a looong few days! Lol

@florence13 I'm so glad you're feeling better and the cloud is lifting for you. We all deserve to enjoy our pregnancy experiences, so I'm really glad you're coming out the other side of the fear hun 🥰

Brilliant news @DJmum83! It's a shame you had to put up with worrying for all that time but glad you can relax now.

Thanks all for keeping positive for me. I peed on a remaining IC with very diluted urine an hour ago and it's still showing a line stealer and no more pink when wiping so far 🤞 hopefully was just sex and nothing to do with the baby! We did 4 days in a row so I've likely brought it on myself 😅 Need to follow @Minster2012 and take a step back from it.

@Justanothercyster I'd want a new car too 😂 I hate when spiders are hiding somewhere and you know they are there. Was it big?

@DJmum83 the sickness (well nausea & wretching, havnt actually vomited at all) is okay. I've managed a medication free day today but it's the 1st day I've not had any meds in about 10days. It's still 24/7 and still relentless but generally the antisickness tablets have helped lessened the intensity so I can function better. Thank goodness.
I won't be messing around in the working week tho, I'll still take 2 a day because actually I always feel worse when I'm moving around and sitting up. At home on the weekend I spend alot of the day in bed or resting on the sofa so it's manageable. But otherwise im ok. How's your sickness now? Has it settled yet? Xx

@Sausage1990 yes I think I'm finally passed the sickness (touch wood) that's been 15 weeks.

@2020mission i mean yeah sex 4 days in a row might do it 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️Jesus I thought we were still pretty active 3/4 times a week since we found out 😳that's all stopped though now, like @Sausage1990 says both of us don't want to though DH kept saying today "I'm thinking about your sexy bum" and I was like "my body out of bounds for now!" I can't mentally think about that now either

Haha but they were all quickies @Minster2012 no long sessions or heavy pounding 🤣 blame the long weekend. Don't worry we won't do anything the rest of this week. I think we've just got too used to regular action while TTC!

@Minster2012 What a rollercoaster few days you’ve had! Crossing my fingers for you for your next scan!

@Sausage1990 No words of wisdom from me but man do I feel you. Waiting for a scan is so intense; so much emotion all the time for so long. I felt emotionally exhausted after my last one (then annoyed that I had just spent 3 weeks stressed out for no real reason 🤦🏻‍♀️).

@2020mission I can’t believe you had sex four days in a row. I need some of what you’ve got!

@Kirky658 Cake looks so delicious! I’m glad it ended up being a good day despite the weather!

Ladies, I think I’m alive again! We are on a short holiday and I walked 16,000 steps yesterday!!! My appetite is (mostly) back, I only occasionally gag annnndd there is the tiniest hard bump between my hipbones. You have to feel for it, definitely nothing visible, but still pretty excited. My husband is pretty cute as well - he keeps rubbing it and smiling. 13 week scan on Thursday so will hopefully hear things are going well.

@DJmum83 yes! I'm so happy it came back all ok for you, now you can breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy it x

@2020mission it was HUGE and orange and chunky!! I literally don't know how I'm going to sit in the car right now. I'm going to have a good look around and I have a plan to jump through to the back seat if needed 😭

@Sausage1990 I understand the anxiety and especially the scanxiety! Even though I had a scan at 8 weeks I was convinced something would have happened by the time the 12 week scan came around. Hope you're okay, your scan will soon be here! 🥰

Last night I went to look at a second hand pram I found on marketplace as I was trying to convince myself I don't need a new pram because I already have one from DS but I just wanted a different one and thought it would be nice for OH to have a different one for his first too. Anyway it was only £150 and just needs a good clean and some new stickers! Absolute bargain I think 😁 here is said bargain
