Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option Flowers

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me Smile I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

Let's have a little update on everyone to get started...

@TickTockTee hand held, like Kirkby said I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, but good the epu are supporting you x

@Minster2012 don't worry I had SUCH BAD cramps up until last week tbh, these girls are probably fed up of me posting on here anxious about them 😂 just bean snuggling in and womb stretching. I only have them about once a week now.

Justanothercyster · 22/04/2021 20:21

@Minster2012 and don't worry they've gone for now, they can be on and off! Typical isn't it though, worry when it's there, worry when it's gone

SamoyedFan123 · 22/04/2021 20:24

@ticktocktee here's a hand hold from me - i how your scan shows that all is well tomorrow. Bleeding isn't necessarily a problem - I bleed every few days for the first few weeks of this pregnancy and it was just a little haematoma causing it.

@asthenia welcome and congrats!

@Minster2012 this is baby number 3 for me as our fresh round of IVF resulted in twins. This one's a FET from the same IVF cycle.

2020mission · 22/04/2021 20:26

I've just been getting mild headaches and cramping on and off but no other symptoms at all. Still too early likely. @Minster2012 make the most of no extreme symptoms for now 😅

@Justanothercyster @lucyrp How many tests did you end up getting through? I've done well only going through 1 FRER, 1 CB digital and 2 ICs so far 🤣

@TickTockTee hopefully it's nothing but glad to hear you've got a scan first thing tomorrow for reassurance!

lucyrp · 22/04/2021 20:28

@2020mission these were mine 🤣🤣

2020mission · 22/04/2021 20:32

@lucyrp haha not too bad then mostly cheapies 👍 Looks like a good time to stop testing is around 30 DPO then?

lucyrp · 22/04/2021 20:34

@2020mission yeah definitely. I ended up panicking myself at 40dpo as the line was fainter. I did try the hook effect and it helped slightly but not much so I stopped at that point as I was just worrying for no reason! I got a dye stealer at 24dpo and such a strong line at 25dpo so personally would probs stop there. Wish they did clear blue weeks indicators up until 12 weeks!

Minster2012 · 22/04/2021 20:39

@2020mission that's the same as me, 2 ICs, one clear blue weeks and 1FRER! Winning

@TickTockTee loads of hand holds, my best friend who carried DS1 bled a fair bit from 5 weeks to 13. It was shit scary but each time there was DS happy as Larry!

@Justanothercyster it's weird isn't it I want symptoms now as last year for MMC I had none except being freezing and not wanting to eat.

I do feel different now, here's hoping

DH gone to the pub, I've got my g&t (something DEF lacking) and I'm gonna sort out my summer clothes into the wardrobe

@SamoyedFan123 wow twins that's fab and now another AMAZING!

Minster2012 · 22/04/2021 20:39

It really needs a slice of lemon in it to be authentic but I don't have any 🤣

TickTockTee · 22/04/2021 20:42

@lucyrp similar here, been through 3 CBs, 2 FRERs and too many ICs to count 🤣 That sounds very restrained @2020mission 😉

Thanks for all handholds, so easy to fear the worst at this stage.

lucyrp · 22/04/2021 20:44

@Kirky658 you think you're huge! This is me at 23+3 😳

Sausage1990 · 22/04/2021 22:17

@justanothercyster I feel a bit like a broken record with the sickness atm, today in particular has been challenging, needing to have something every 20mins ish so I've nibbled alot of rich tea biscuits & had half a packet of trebor extra strong mints in addition to my beige meals. However in a positive mints really do help so at least I know how to help myself.... I promise I'll stop wallowing soon (hopefully haha). When did your sickness settle??

@2020mission the pregnant/not pregnant clear blue digital stays for ages. Mine says pregnant still and I did it a month ago now 👍🏻 the weeks indicators that go after a day but the other one lasts so I've liked to see that still 😊 and like @lucyrp I have all my tests still too. In my bedside drawer and I like to look at them still lol

@asthenia welcome to the side car!!! Yeah definitely make the most of no sickness incase you get hit with it later. I wasn't on the main bus much recently so sorry if this is common knowledge but tell us a little about yourself? Is this baby #1? How long have you been ttc? It's good to have you here 👍🏻

@minster2012 tbh I've never had achey boobs in either pregnancy but I've had cramps on an off in both. They come and go so I'm sure they'll be back but if not that's OK too, a friend of mine never had cramps and she's nearly 20weeks with baby #2 now.

With the dates the midwives go on LMP for sure, even tho I've had a viability scan and they dated in on that, when I called the midwive to book in she said my EDD is November 26th which is my LMP EDD even tho I know it's more like Dec 2nd-6th based on ovulation tests & my viability scan. They still go on LMP regardless as the measurements aren't accurate early.

@kirky685 your bump is gorgeous!!! Perfect bump for nearly half way there... And yours @lucyrp us as gorgeous as ever. I can't wait to have a bump! Well one that's baby and not just food hahaha 🤰🏻

Justanothercyster · 23/04/2021 06:24

@2020mission haha I did one a day for a week I'd say, then digis weekly until I got 3+ I still have 3 FRERs upstairs 😂🙈

@Minster2012 I was the same, wishing for them and then wishing them away haha. They'll come lovely x

@Sausage1990 aww it'll get better. I still get a tiny bit of nausea every now and then when I'm hungry but nowhere near as bad, it settled a lot by 10 weeks I'd say, but everyone's different

Loving the bumps. I just look a bit fat to others but I've got a hard bump forming for sure 😂

lucyrp · 23/04/2021 06:37

@TickTockTee good luck for your scan this morning, I'm sure everything will be fine 🥰🥰

@Sausage1990 aww thank you! Won't be long and you'll start showing. It was around 12 weeks for me!

Minster2012 · 23/04/2021 07:16

You look fantastic @Kirky658 & @lucyrp!

Well yes now my boobs are sore, all of a sudden they are thudding around at night, flopping over last night like a dull thud 🤣& the nipples might be good at sketching on glass this morning

Kate105 · 23/04/2021 07:28

Good luck this morning @TickTockTee I'm sure it'll be fine but regardless you'll feel better once you've been able to check!

Lovely bumps @lucyrp @Kirky658 mine's just starting to pop a bit at 17 weeks! The kids at school have finally noticed and plucked up the courage to ask... We had a sweepstake going in the office as to which loudmouth would dare ask first 😂

Welcome to the newbies! Although I have to confess @Minster2012 I was a massive lurker on the original thread for ages so you're not really new to me (sorry to be a creep!)

Sausage1990 · 23/04/2021 09:50

Girls i have a quetsion - at what point is it okay to ask for help to manage nausea? like hoe bad does it have to get before its okay & the GP will help?

Ive called the GP this morning to sort out my 5mg folic acid perscription but ive said id also like to talk about my symptoms and im thinking of asking for some anti-sickness tablets to help manage when im in work. Ive been in since 8.50am and ive had to have 3 mints already becase as soon as ive finished one im feeling SO sick about 5mnis later. Ive got a ginger sweet atm to see if that eases it for longer but if i leave it too long i start wreching. I'm not sick whit the retching but its horrible. its really hard to focus on doing any work because i just feel like i need to lay donw all the time.

Ive now got a fan that ive taken from a collegues desk (shes not in work today as shes part time) and im sat in my office on my own with the fan on, sickness bands on my wrist, feeling awful & just wanting to cry and go home. I feel like im being so dramatic becuase ive not been sick once and i can keep food down but I'm struggling. and apparently it peaks at about 7-9 weeks for most people so ive still got weeks of this to go Sad last time was different because i was at home so basically spent the time on the sofa or in bed.

I just wanted to know if anyone else had sickness tablets because I'd like to avoid medication if can help it but im finding it hard.

@Sausage1990 I was feeling awful but not physically sick, just nausea constantly. I don't think they actually help unless there's vomit so I didn't bother, just stayed home if I couldn't cope at work and used mints and stuff to help.

Kirky658 · 23/04/2021 11:01

@sausage1990 not sure if you can take during pregnancy they have to be prescribed but I suffered with nausea due to my endo and was prescribed motilium, worked wonders for me.
@kate105 sweepstake!!! Love that 🤣

DH and I are off to my parents caravan in Wales this weekend as they're not using it, can't wait to see the sea 🌊😍

2020mission · 23/04/2021 11:28

Aww @Sausage1990 no need to feel like you're being dramatic I always think nausea can be worse than when you actually vomit as that can at least offer some relief... although of course not good to do with pregnancy nausea as you need to keep food down and not become dehydrated. I'm sure the GP will be happy to help so definitely worth asking. I'm taking notes form you with the mints incase this kicks in for me soon. I wouldn't have thought to try those! Just a few more weeks until it passes 🤞

Thinking of you @TickTockTee 💕 hopefully all is well.

@Kirky658 @lucyrp nice to see more bump snaps! It appears sooner and bigger if you've had a baby before, right?

lucyrp · 23/04/2021 11:36

@Sausage1990 I'm not sure there's anything they can give for nausea as the tablets I was on for my sickness didn't help with nausea. I still felt really sick I just wasn't throwing up ☹️

@Kirky658 so jealous ! Got 6 weeks until we go away 😩

lucyrp · 23/04/2021 11:49

@2020mission apparently so!😂

Kirky658 · 23/04/2021 12:33

@2020mission I believe so, this is my first and I didn't really 'pop' till about 17 weeks. I was tiny before and had a flat stomach and abs which have now disappeared 😂
