Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option Flowers

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me Smile I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

Let's have a little update on everyone to get started...

Don't know where abdomen came from there! And*

Florence13 · 20/04/2021 16:26

@Kirky658 aww not long then my dating scan is a week on Thursday and cannot come soon enough!

@SamoyedFan123 oh bless you, glad everything is good with baby but sorry that your having to have so much monitoring. Although it’s good they are keeping an eye on things.

lucyrp · 20/04/2021 16:32

Not sure how I feel about this ! 😳

I believe I've had a "pop" at 11+2 🙈 me and dh have just noticed, seems a bit early but I suppose I'm not overly curvy so it's noticeable.

@lucyrp you're going to have to explain as I know nothing about rhr!

@Kirky658 awww not long! I'm having scanxiety now for Monday 🙈

@SamoyedFan123 good that bub is bouncing around in there!

2020mission · 20/04/2021 19:56

I'm just poking my head in here briefly but not fully joining yet (not ready to make it real until/if I get further along) 😅 👋

@lucyrp 95?? You all right over there 😂 I'm scared to look at RHR now I'm blanking it out for the coming weeks.

@Justanothercyster ohh bump photos soon then!

Justanothercyster · 20/04/2021 20:06

@2020mission yayyyy welcome! Haha probably in a few weeks time as I probably just look a bit fat to others 🤣 I've been logging bump pics every 4 weeks though to see how it gets bigger 😍

lucyrp · 20/04/2021 20:14

@Justanothercyster 95 is incredibly high 🤨🤪 il attach my chart from the last year though as i found it quite interesting that since I've been pregnant its just continued to go up!

@2020mission well I'm fine so let's hope so😂 yeah definitely don't look now the first few weeks I was watching it like a hawk and it didn't help me at all! Didn't mean Anything either !

Well girls I feel huge. Just look at me

Justanothercyster · 20/04/2021 21:02

@lucyrp ahh I see, oops! Aww lovely bump. I'm in the "just fat" looking stage 😂

Do any of you have a belly ring? Not really sure what to do about it, don't want to risk it closing but also don't like those long pregnancy bar things... it's already feeling a bit tight 😖

lucyrp · 20/04/2021 21:04

@Justanothercyster I have a belly bar in at the moment still. Sometimes it feels tight but not all of the time! I don't want one of those long ones either until I can't help it anymore 🤣

Thinkingandblinking · 20/04/2021 21:22

@2020mission congrats on the bfp! Great to see you on the side-car x

I waited up for the tesco delivery as I needed biscotti ice cream in my life....the one substitution...ahhhhh! I wanted to tell the man to stick his strawberry cones....but accepted and scoffed one anyway...

First world issues I know....

TTCAbroad · 21/04/2021 00:30

@Thinkingandblinking I finally had to say ‘no substitutions’ for delivery as it always seems to be the one thing I really wanted/needed. Would throw me into a ridiculous grump.

@2020mission Congratulations and Welcome to the sidecar!

Justanothercyster · 21/04/2021 06:49

@lucyrp I've read about these clear stretchy things you can put in. I mean they say if you've had it a while it won't close but I don't trust it even if I've had it 12 years 😂

@Thinkingandblinking ahhh! Our Tesco substituted the ice cream we chose too! And yours was biscotti too 💔

lucyrp · 21/04/2021 06:52

@Justanothercyster I've only had mine nearly 2 years and it's stills a bit iffy so I'd be worried about it closing up. Not that I really want my belly on show for a while after giving birth but hey 😂

2020mission · 21/04/2021 08:29

Thanks for the welcomes although it's still so early it could go either way 🤞

@lucyrp lovely bump photo!

@Justanothercyster I've had a belly piercing for over 12 years too 😅 I assumed my belly will never be nice enough for a bikini after being pregnant so would probably just take it out when it gets tight. I have no idea how the belly will look in time after having the baby... although if @lucyrp got hers pierced after having had a pregnancy before it must be ok? 😄 I'm sure we wouldn't heal up anyway after 12 years!

lucyrp · 21/04/2021 09:21

@2020mission thanks! Yeah I got mine done 4 years after having a baby so 😅

Kirky658 · 21/04/2021 10:04

@lucyrp you look beautiful! Ps. Wish my RHR looked like that, mine is still in the 40s and hasn't increased, midwife was shocked as she'd never seen one so low but all apaears to be grand going off the 16 week check and heartbeat! So @2020mission please ignore the rhr oh and congrats and welcome!! Whether it's early or not always welcome ❤️😘

Will share a bump pic once i take one that's not of me in my undies 🤣 I've been taking one once a week and uploading to the bumpies app, you can create videos to see how much its grown it is Brill x

lucyrp · 21/04/2021 10:08

@Kirky658 that tells me that I'm very unfit 😂🤣and thank you 🥰x

Kirky658 · 21/04/2021 10:16

@lucyrp I'm sure you're incredibly fit! My RHR is just weird 🤣 I went running this morning and gotta say I don't feel remotely fit anymore! I'm 19 weeks today and I'd loved to try and keep it up till the 3rd trimester x

Justanothercyster · 21/04/2021 12:53

@lucyrp @2020mission thanks for the thoughts :) I mean I just can getting re pierced again but my belly button is so wide it looks bizarre without it now haha.

DJmum83 · 21/04/2021 20:12

Hiya
Have wrote on the other post got news today that I am high risk for Down syndrome feeling a bit numb xx

Kirky658 · 21/04/2021 20:55

@djmum83 oh hun I'm sorry to hear. What was your figure if you don't mind me asking? What are you planning to do next, have they offered you further testing? X

Justanothercyster · 21/04/2021 21:05

@DJmum83 I've just seen your post, 1 in 90. Hand held, I really hope the clinic give you some support x

DJmum83 · 21/04/2021 21:14

@Kirky658 1 in 90 all my other 3 were in the thousands. I was just so shocked I know I'm older but it just never crossed my mind.

Thank you @Justanothercyster they are actually rubbish leaving me until Monday then another 10 days for results.
I think they should offer counselling xx

Kirky658 · 21/04/2021 21:19

@djmum83 are you going to opt for the further testing to be more sure of the result? I'm still not convinced that these statistics mean anything I've read of some with 1 in 20,000 chance and still getting it. X

SamoyedFan123 · 21/04/2021 21:31

@2020mission congrats!

@DJmum83 I'm so sorry you're going through this stress - just remember while you wait for further tests that 1 in 90 is still a very low percentage chance. I hope you get the all clear asap. If it helps I didn't even have the screening tests as knew they would come back high today due to my age and would have no issues with a DS baby and wouldn't terminate for this anyway. I have a beautiful DS cousin who is just the happiest, kindest, most lovely person.
