Minster's Side car bumping along - TTC Graduates Bus 1

Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option Flowers

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me Smile I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

Let's have a little update on everyone to get started...

Thanks ladies. Yeah I'm in bed now having had a bath & watched some Netflix and chatted to my mum for an hr in the phone. I had a cry to my mam but I do feel better for it. I think the cry has been building for a few days tbh. But now it's bedtime for me with some nice sleepy pillow spray and a heated face mask.
My appointment is at 10.30am @kirky685 so thankfully not too long to wait.

I'll let you know how it goes xxx

@Kirky658 good for you for sticking up for yourself like you say it isn’t good to have too much stress and pressure never mind when your pregnant to.

@SamoyedFan123 aww how exciting about the car.

@Justanothercyster aww how did you find your booking appointment?

@Sausage1990 thinking about you today and will be eagerly awaiting your news. Keeping fingers crossed all goes well.

Kate105 · 13/04/2021 08:12

Good luck today @Sausage1990 not long to wait now xxx

Justanothercyster · 13/04/2021 08:34

@Florence13 it was ok, just a lot of Q&A tbh, nothing overly special.

@Sausage1990 big hug for today! Let us know how you get on x

TakeYourFinalPosition · 13/04/2021 08:38

Best of luck, @Sausage1990, we’ll be thinking of you.

Hope you’re monitoring went okay, @SamoyedFan123.

I’ve woken up so excited. Still absolutely zero symptoms though.

Kirky658 · 13/04/2021 08:48

@justanothercyster I felt the same after my booking appt, an hour on the phone and didn't really find much out except I'm at risk of pre eclampsia so now I'm on aspirin! However it's stopped my daily headaches so I guess that's something 🤣

Justanothercyster · 13/04/2021 10:17

@Kirky658 that's a bonus haha. Sucks about the risk though. Luckily my family history is pretty good apart from my mum had PND so that's the only thing health wise to watch out for because of previous depression etc.

@TakeYourFinalPosition that's good! Don't worry, they'll come and you'll wish they didn't 😂

Sausage1990 · 13/04/2021 12:13

Ladies we have a heartbeat!!!! 💕

The guy doing the scan was so quick I bearly got to see anything but we've got a baby growing in the right place and dating at 6+1 with a heartbeat.... So we're dating a few days behind what I thought but as it was an abdominal scan it's much less accurate dates wise when they're so tiny. So he wasn't worried at all. And said usually once the uterus starts growing and it easier to see then the dates tend to line back up again. But all is good so far... Now I'm off for a nap because I'm emotionally exhausted lol

Thank you so much for you support as always. I will catch up with you all later xxx

Awww yay @sausage1990 that's fantastic news been waiting to hear from you ❤️ so glad you saw the heartbeat too that's got to put your mind at rest a bit. You're right the early scans are so tiny it's easy to get dates slightly out. Rest up and catch up when you're ready xxx

SamoyedFan123 · 13/04/2021 12:47

Wonderful news @Sausage1990 ❤️

Florence13 · 13/04/2021 13:55

@Justanothercyster aww yes I heard that was the case.

@Sausage1990 fantastic news! So happy for you and glad you saw the heartbeat. Hope you can relax a little now.

Thinkingandblinking · 13/04/2021 17:32

Will try to reply and write a better post when I'm feeling better xx

Kate105 · 14/04/2021 11:51

Just a little update from me- had my 16 week midwife appointment this morning and all looks good. Got to listen to the heartbeat which was fab ❤️ now to wait for the 20 week scan!

AND I've had my hair appointment 🙌🏻❤️🙌🏻❤️ feels so good to banish the greys! I feel reborn!

SamoyedFan123 · 14/04/2021 12:41

@DJmum83 I'm sorry you're feeling so rough again, it's cruel when you get a few better days and you think there's light at the end of the tunnel, only for it all to come flooding back. Rest up and I hope you feel better soon x

@Kate105 that's great that you got to hear the HB - I really had to push my MW to do it at 16 weeks she really wasn't keen to try before 25 weeks. Glad you enjoyed your hair appointment! I just do my roots at home though - saves a fortune!

I actually felt a few movements yesterday! 3 during the day and 6 or 7 in the evening so I took a day off from going to the MAU - bet they're wondering what's happened to me 😂 Nothing again today though but I'm going to try to hold off going back in as I have a scan tomorrow afternoon 🤞 Feeling absolutely rotten with nausea, indigestion and back ache today 🤮

Justanothercyster · 14/04/2021 16:45

@DJmum83 ahh sorry the sickness is back 😖 it truly sucks.

@Kate105 aww lovely that you heard a little HB ❤️

@SamoyedFan123 yay for movements!

Not much to report here, just waiting for 12 weeks really and trying to convince myself there's still something in my belly 🙄

TickTockTee · 14/04/2021 23:19

@SamoyedFan123 when we changed our car last time we got a Q7 for space and flexibility of seats. Pretty happy with our choice, few teething issues when we bought it but all good now.

@Sausage1990 congrats on the scan, must be such a relief.

@Kate105 can't wait for my hair appt, counting down the days until May 🤣

Apologies for being AWOL, it's been a hectic week at work. Spoken to EPU who have said they'll be booking me in for an 8wk reassurance scan given my history and also had confirmation of my booking in appt with the midwife. Just need to get through the next few weeks...

TTCAbroad · 15/04/2021 06:08

@Kirky658 Well done for advocating for yourself at your job!

@Sausage1990 Congratulations on the successful scan Smile

Had a 10 week-ish scan today and got to see baby kicking it's little arms and legs and wiggling around! All measurements are good and I think it's the first time I've allowed myself to feel a little bit excited. It was also my first abdominal scan and it was much more pleasant than the internal ones. At my clinic they also record the scan and give it to you on a USB after so it was nice to be able to show it to my husband who wasn't allowed at this appointment.

lucyrp · 15/04/2021 07:07

Hi Ladies, sorry life is so busy already again what with work pretty much 9-5 again, school runs and trying to fit everything else in between whilst falling asleep.
Couple of things to update on; I asked to change midwife led units if anyone remembers just because the other one is more the normal way I go and if I were to he sent to hospital during labour etc I would get sent to the hospital where I gave birth to DS which I'd prefer to a completely different hospital I've never been to. When I spoke to the head midwife she said I would be transferred to the new midwife starting with them and she gave me her name which I recognised as she had looked after me in the big county hospital as a midwife after giving birth to DS! She rang yesterday to make my 25 week appointment and it was the first time we spoke and the first thing she said was she'd been looking through my notes and remembered looking after me! So was quite happy about that as she is lovely so hoping she'll be better than my previous midwife ☺️
Got a day off tomorrow and I'm finally having my lashes done again which will make me feel a bit more myself, hoping they actually last as I have heard when you're pregnant you can actually shed more lashes!😳 also got my nails booked in for next Friday so excited to feel more human 🥰
Hope everyone is okay! Got a very active bubba now although it is difficult to feel them every day as it's very much a case of if I'm stood or sat still to feel them which I'm not doing very much or either at the moment 😂😴

Thinkingandblinking · 15/04/2021 12:25

@TTCAbroad congrats on the scan going well!

I just put my big girl pants on today and booked and went for a scan this morning! Needed to do it without all the thinking. We have a heartbeat....so relieved, like beyond relieved, was sure it was the end of the road! Measuring 8wks 4days so 2 days ahead of where I thought! Phew....emotionally exhausted! I’ve only got you guys to tell 😂

Kirky658 · 15/04/2021 12:52

@lucyrp glad you're getting some pampering in lovely ❤️ and really good news about the midwife change too.
@ttcabroad @thinkingandblinking congrats on the happy scans ladies lovely news 👏😍

Not much to report from me really, work is a bit quiet at the moment so I'm taking it easy! I have my 20 week scan on the 28th so feels like I'm kinda in limbo till then. I am a bit peeved at my mum and dad, they're going to their caravan bank holiday weekend and I was going to make a gender reveal cake but they're going away! My fault I should've told them the dates just didn't compute they'd be going away haha, baby brain!

Clairey844 · 16/04/2021 12:22

@TTCAbroad @Thinkingandblinking so great to read both of your scans went well-it's such a relief isn't it? 🥰🥰

All good here, had my 25wk midwife appointment yesterday and she listened to the heartbeat which was awesome.

2 weeks today I have a growth scan so looking forward to that

X
