Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

@Florence13 aww I'm 10 weeks today, we're going to have similar due dates 💕

@Justanothercyster that's whag kept me going between my 8 and 12 week scan was that we'd seen a heartbeat and the statistics that go with that are great 🥰

@lucyrp very true, need to try and keep my calm. admittedly I did just poas haha. I heard about the hook effect so only had a 30 min hold and drank loads just in case, blazing line stealer 😂 then I consulted Google and someone had posted a positive test at 10 weeks which indicated a mmc. I need to just stay away from the internet!

@Justanothercyster I found when I POAS at I think it was 40dpo my lines were so faint and I panicked and had to try the hook effect by adding water and it made the line slightly darker but still not as dark as before so I stopped testing then as it just made me panic for no reason. Yes stay away!

@Justanothercyster aww yes we will have super close due dates ☺️ I haven’t tested at all since the two I did at the start. As @lucyrp says I’m clinging to that heartbeat from the early scan knowing the statistics should be in our favour. But still doesn’t completely get rid of the nerves, desperate to get a date for my 12 week scan so I’ve got something to focus on.

Still nervous nelly here...can’t even get in to a scan room as too scared of what I will see or not see!

Just spotted some limes in the fruit bowl and thought that would be nice in water...cutting the lime and just couldn’t help but start eating it...guess that’s the craving box ticked!

@lucyrp it's the last one I promise!

@Florence13 is it worth ringing the antenatal unit to ask them about it? Seems to be cutting it fine if you're already 10 weeks!

@Thinkingandblinking ooh interesting craving! I haven't really had any specific ones tbh just what I fancy changes on a daily basis.

I think baby is having a growth spurt in there as I've had cramps all night and am feeling crappy this morning 😖 very anxious but just trying to tell myself the cramps are stretching pains etc.

@Justanothercyster I'm only 4 or 5 weeks depending if we go off LMP or ovulation... but I have tested daily since I found out on Saturday .

@Florence13 Do you know when you'll get your date? The automated info from my GP service says we should get our 12-week date by 9 weeks... I filled in the form to be referred to the midwife last night.

I'm so nervous and excited. I've still got no symptoms at all, but I guess it's SUPER early. And I'm still caught between desperately wanting to talk about it with someone - I'm the last to have kids in my circle of friends, so kids are a common topic! - and keeping it a secret.

I'm so keen to know "how" pregnant I am. And my head is now full of nurseries and baby stuff and all the things I don't know...

@TakeYourFinalPosition I was the same dw! I only started feeling rubbish around 6 weeks, you wish for the symptoms and then you wish they'd go 😂 you might be lucky and escape sickness 🤞🏼 so exciting though :)

@Thinkingandblinking aww I don’t think I’ve had any cravings just lots of aversions.

@Justanothercyster I’ve got my booking appointment on Wednesday and as far as I’m aware they request it at that appointment.

@TakeYourFinalPosition I believe the midwife sorts my 12 week scan appointment when I see her at my booking appointment. So just waiting for that on Wednesday. Feel you with both the nerves and excitement all rolled together.

@Florence13 hopefully they will, I'm sure it's all sorted 👍🏻 I had my booking apt yesterday, I had soooo many questions weeks ago but it went so quickly yesterday because I'd had them all answered already haha

Omg ladies just need a big rant apologies. So I've been covering for another department for 12 weeks amending holiday bookings. Finally got 'released' back to my normal role before Easter. Today they've decided again I need to help in the other department whilst juggling my current job! It's the first time I've had to use the 'pregnancy card' as I've explained to my boss that when I was doing their work previously it was really stressing me out. I have having to do that but I can't cope with the levels of stress and anxiety they're heaping on me now, it's not good for me or the baby.

@Kirky658 rant away! You definitely did the right thing, you don't need any extra stress especially now. And they can't expect you to do all of that surely! How did they respond?

@kirky658 that sounds really rough - you did the right thing by standing up for yourself! I've been in the situation where i was taken advantage of and had more and more stress and pressure heaped on until I finally broke and handed my notice in abd ended up going part time - it's just not worth it, especially while pregnant - you have more important things to worry about. I really hope they sort things out for you 🤞

I finally got to go car shopping today 😁 made up for missing out on pram shopping this time 😂

@justanothercyster @samoyedfan123 thanks ladies, I was fuming earlier. I put a frankly worded teams message to my manager explaining what I thought and how I felt and she said OK, message the admin team leader and tell her what you will be able to help with. So I guess I did the right thing by telling her! Hopefully it won't be too stressful. I can't wait till I finish mid August!!!

Also @samoyedfan123 exciting about the car shopping! What are you thinking of having?

Hey ladies. Just wanted to check in.

I've got my viability scan tomorrow at 10.30am and I'm starting to get really nervous. I've been so good at keeping it all at bay but today it's been really hard to do that. I'll be 6+5 weeks tomorrow so hopefully we will see a heartbeat and see everything as it should be 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I've never prayed for anything more. I'm super grateful that DH will be with me and we've both got the whole day off work too.

I'm feeling really emotional today and feel like I need a really good cry. Keep everything crossed for me girls, I really need a virtual hand hold right now 💕🤞🏻

@sausage1990 completely understandable in your situation! Remember that all signs are good for you. What time is your scan tomorrow? Like @thinkingandblinking says maybe an early night tonight. Bath, book and candles? Xx

@kirky658 we need something to fit 3 full size isofix car seats in so we're limited in choice. We looked at the Landrover discovery and Audi Q7 today. I've always loved landrovers and owned a freelander for years so the new discovery is definitely the front runner atm.

Now I'm off to the MAU again for my nightly CTG monitoring 🙄

@samoyedfan123 ahhhh gotcha, that does limit your choices somewhat! Sounds lovely choices. Hope the mau goes well x
