Hello ladies,
So I thought I'd put together a new thread for us (as you've probably seen in the main group). I thought this could be like a sub group (or side car as Haiyaa suggested) so we can chat about all things pregnancy without feeling that maybe we're overwhelming the TTC board.

I definitely don't want to leave the main bus and I know you all feel the same as we've created a amazing community of women supporting women... most people have said their ok with pregnancy chat but I know some are struggling with it and the shift in proportion of TTC vs BFPs, and we all know how hard it is to see too much pregnancy talk sometimes, especially if the journey has been long, as it has been for some. So I thought, lets be sensative to everyone's needs and have another option Flowers

I'm cautious about setting up a bus given I'm so so early but as I suggested it, I thought it best come from me Smile I am happy to set up the threads but I dont have a great urge to be the bus driver (haha) so if anyone else wants to chip in setting up subseqeunt buses then I'd be happy yo share the responsibility!

Please tag anyone that I may have missed - I tried to go through the board to get any recent BFPs but I could have missed someone easily and theres ALOT haha.

Let's have a little update on everyone to get started...

I am so grateful that my nausea has abated now at 17 weeks mostly, if I get hungry now and again I get a bit queasy but I'm OK mostly!

Hello and welcome @ticktocktee sorry to hear about your past experiences and hoping this all goes swimmingly for you ♥️ and hello and congrats to @takeyourfinalposition as well! 😆

Finally finished the nursery ladies! Lots of swearing and arguing but we did it eventually 🤣

@Kirky658 I love your decorations ❤️

@ticktocktee and @TakeYourFinalPosition welcome and congrats! Wishing you both healthy and happy pregnancies.

@Sausage1990 early movements are like little bubbles popping inside for me! Thanks for asking after us - I've taken a day or two away due to being stressed out and spending all my evenings in MAU. I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and everyone is a bit mystified as to why I feel almost no movement. I loyally just get two or three bumps /bubbles every 2 to 3 days and that's it. But I've had 3 scans and loads of CTG monitoring in the last week or so and baby is always extremely active and absolutely fine so the issue is definitely with me not him.

Sausage1990 · 10/04/2021 13:57

@kirky685 your nursery is so cute!!! I love it! 🦋🐒🦓🦜

@samoyedfan123 I'm glad babys doing ok. It's so wierd that you can't feel him tho... Is it to do with your placenta that you can't feel much movement? Ohhh so bubbles & tickles are what I need to look out for when the time comes... X

SamoyedFan123 · 10/04/2021 15:06

@sausage1990 yeah it's partly the placeholder which is front and high, but that doesn't explain all of it. We think it's to do with my uterus being over stretched by the twins last time and all the damage that was done when I had a cat 1 EMCS. I had to be stitched up in several places inside.

SamoyedFan123 · 10/04/2021 15:07

Placenta* not placeholder!

Sausage1990 · 10/04/2021 15:26

@samoyedfan123 ohhh I see. That's hard tho isn't it when you're waiting for baby's movements to reassure you. Thankfully the monitoring is reassuring and your team are happy to keep a close eye on you both. Hopefully as baby gets bigger and takes up more space you'll start to feel baby more easily 💕

@TickTockTee and @TakeYourFinalPosition welcome and congratulations on your pregnancies.

Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA work has been super busy and when I’m not at work I’m constantly snoozing.

@Kirky658 the nursery looks fab!

@SamoyedFan123 glad baby is all ok but sorry to hear you still aren’t feeling any movements.

@Sausage1990 I feel the same I cannot imagine getting past 1st trimester but just taking each day as it comes and trying not to think about anything to much. Not long until your early scan now bless you, that made it all feel more real for me. But I feel like I won’t relax until I have the 12 week one.

DJmum83 · 10/04/2021 16:28

Hi everyone
I'm feeling much better past couple days, definitely more my normal self. Definitely getting rounded in the tummy.
Been busy cleaning out cupboards today.
My best friend just sent me a pregnancy test positive I'm so over the moon as they started trying months before we did. We are 7 weeks apart, but we will both be c-sections early so babies will be close together.

@SamoyedFan123 sorry your not feeling baby. Sounds like they are keeping a close eye on you. Which is good.

@Kirky658 fantastic absolutely love the nursery well done. I have booked 4 nights in a caravan but not till July it can't come quick enough.

@TakeYourFinalPosition & @TickTockTee welcome and congratulations.

The nausea still comes and goes but nowhere near as bad for me. I'm 12+1 today scan is a week Monday.
Anybody else got scans coming up xxx

lucyrp · 10/04/2021 16:29

@Sausage1990 we popped to the coast today and went to Aberystwyth, but it was freezing🥶 on the getting past the first trimester even though I had DS I honestly couldn't fathom getting past even 6/7 weeks this time as I had my MMC at 7/8 weeks last time. I can't believe I'm so far gone already. 22 weeks on Monday🙈 babu moving is like something you can't really describe sometimes its like a popping sensation, others it feels like wind but it isn't and then others you actually can tell it's them kicking.

@Kirky658 love the stickers! We decided not to decorate the walls or anything like painting. We're just going to put shelves up and put pictures etc on them

Justanothercyster · 10/04/2021 17:31

To the ladies feeling movements, when does it typically start? I honestly cannot wait but I also know it'll freak me out haha.

@TakeYourFinalPosition that's awesome! Lovely positive there :) I loved watching my line progression. Congraaaaats 🎉🎉

@Sausage1990 I feel it too! I think I'll struggle to really imagine it until a bump haha. I just had to force feed myself and it calmed down a lot. It's weird isn't it, you naturally want to avoid eating but it's the only thing that helps! Uggggh the gagging is the worst. I can't even look at ham because it actually makes me retch 😂

@Kirky658 that's so cute! I wouldn't even know where to start with a nursery 🙈

@DJmum83 my scan is two weeks Monday 😁 I'll be 12+1 for it. So excited and scared. Aww that's lovely about your friend, such a lovely experience to share with one another.

Kirky658 · 10/04/2021 18:45

Glad you all like the nursery ❤️ @lucyrp if it was up to us we wouldn't have decorated it but we hated the decor that was in there before and the wallpaper was hideous - we only moved in last July.

@djmum83 glad you're feeling better!

I don't think I've felt any movements yet, at 17+4 now bit worried about that but I guess for a ftm you can sometimes not feel anything till 20 weeks or more!

lucyrp · 10/04/2021 18:57

@Kirky658 I would decorate but the room is so small that there's just no point! I think it would make it smaller if we were to paint or whatever

DJmum83 · 10/04/2021 21:46

@Kirky658 with my first I never felt movements till 20 weeks so don't worry xx

TickTockTee · 10/04/2021 22:16

Thanks for the welcome, I'm 4+2 and can't stop myself testing! Relieved that everything seems to be progressing, I really want to enjoy this pregnancy as we're not planning to have more but also want the worry to be over Confused

My boys are 7 and 4, we wanted to wait as my eldest has additional needs and another baby would have been too much if he didn't have some independence.

@Kirky658 loving those jungle stickers! My two will be sharing a room with bunkbeds so we'll be redecorating their room once they've decided what they want Grin

@justanothercyster I think I jinxed it too... I felt awful all day yesterday, couldn't go more than a few hrs without eating something or I'd feel awful, and now today I've woken at 6.30am because I feel sick and needed to get a snack already. I'm 6+3 weeks today and I think my hormones have finally kicked in and the nausea had ramped up. They do say it does that at 6-7weeks and it seems I'm right on schedule 🤢
At least we're in this together ladies!!!

@florence13 hope you're doing okay even if things are busy. Yeah in feeling cautiously optimistic atm for the scan, I'm sure tomorrow & Tuesday the nerves/anxiety will be super high but for now I'm just going to take each day. When is your 12 week scan? Hopefully not too long a wait for you?

@DJmum83 Awwww lush news about your friend 💕 lovely to have babies close together growing up. Glad your nausea is settling, you've had quite the rough ride so I'm glad it's more manageable now. How exciting for your scan soon. X

@lucyrp I think that's where I'm at as baby didn't get passed 9 weeks (even tho I didn't know for 3 more weeks) I can't imagine getting passed that. I think I have phases of not feeling AS apprehensive about this scan because we've got past this stage before with a heartbeat but then I doubt that thought pattern and start to worry, then I try no to think about that at all haha I'm trying not to go down the other road. We'll get there I'm sure🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Your bump is looking so gorgeous on instagram 💕

@ticktocktee don't worry about all the testing. We're all serial testers here, after my BFP I tested nearly every 1-2 days with various tests for 2 weeks. I only stopped when I got 3+ on my clearblue... You just do whatever makes you feel most relaxed 😊

OP posts:
lucyrp · 11/04/2021 07:46

@Sausage1990 you more than likely have jinxed the sickness as mine only ramped up and I began being sick at 6+2🙈 I was feeling exactly the same until at least 12 weeks then the feeling calmed down slightly then I began to feel them move slightly so that helped but then I got scanxiety again for the 20 week scan but everything was all good. Now I'm worried as we don't have any more scans! Think I may have to book one in for around 28-30 weeks privately otherwise it's such a long time! Aww thank you I feel absolutely massive already 🙈

Sausage1990 · 11/04/2021 08:16

@lucyrp I think you're right that it's a timing thing. I thought maybe I'd get away with it this time but looks unlikely haha. Don't you get any scans after 20weeks?! I thought you got a growth scan at like 35weeks?? Although my experience of antenatal care is for diabetic ladies who get loads of growth scans so I'm probably way off here... And if that's the case then I'll probably get an extra one as well. From 20weeks to brith is sooo long 🙈

OP posts:
lucyrp · 11/04/2021 08:31

@Sausage1990 mine started at 6+2 and then just got worse unfortunately 🙈 no I don't think so! A lot of ladies on the Facebook group I'm on from before have had growth scans but I think they're all for different reasons. I think that's it for me now! Although from now on the movement will only get more so I guess I have that! And that gets more visual etc. Although it would be nice to see them again 🥰

Kate105 · 11/04/2021 09:17

Ahhh nursery looks gorgeous @Kirky658 love the stickers! Don't worry about not feeling movement yet, it's still super early. You'll get there soon enough! I'm stupidly early but I must just be really lucky.

Commiserations to the morning sickness crew! Just keep snacking! I was so worried about how much I was eating to keep the nausea at bay, but it does pass and I'm quite relieved that my appetite is back to normal now! So just do what you need to do to get through the next few weeks xxx

Justanothercyster · 11/04/2021 10:16

@Sausage1990 ah yes week 6 was definitely my worst, had pretty much the whole week off work as I felt so rough! Hopefully yours passes x

With the talk of scans, I'm SO terrified that I'll get to the 12 week one in 2 weeks and find that it hasn't grown 😰 my biggest fear.

Kirky658 · 11/04/2021 11:03

Morning ladies, glad you all love the nursery as much as we do ❤️ DH is so excited now he can't wait for the 20week scan, 2 weeks on Weds eep. I had the teeniest tiniest bit of bleeding last night a couple hours after we DTD and I was absolutely terrified I couldn't stop shaking. Thankfully it was literally the size of like a poppy seed and stopped as quickly as it came. No pains or cramps etc. Guess it just made me realise I need to try and chill out a bit as I've been so stressed of late. Just been for a lovely trail run with hubs, 5 miles but the scenery was amazing snowy hills!

Florence13 · 11/04/2021 11:40

@Sausage1990 I haven’t got a date for my 12 week scan yet as I haven’t had my booking appointment either. Hoping it all gets sorted this week with my booking appointment. I find my nausea comes and goes and some days are better than others but I definitely have to snack regularly otherwise it is next level.

@lucyrp I can understand that hun as like you say if there are no other reasons you don’t have another scan after 20 weeks which seems crazy. Although like you say I guess at least you have the movements.

@Justanothercyster I feel you hun, I don’t even have a 12 week scan appointment yet but already feel the nerves.

@Kirky658 snow!? We have sunshine that is crazy!! Glad you are having a nice morning.

lucyrp · 11/04/2021 11:42

@Justanothercyster have you been for an early scan??

@Florence13 such a long time from 20 week scan until birth isn't it ! Sometimes can be up to 22 weeks. Crazy!

Justanothercyster · 11/04/2021 12:12

@lucyrp I went for one at 7 weeks but that feels like ages ago.

On another positive note our hospital now allows partners to the 12 week scan again which means dh won't miss out 😁

@Florence13 ahh it's just nerve wracking isn't it. How far along are you now?

Florence13 · 11/04/2021 12:14

@Justanothercyster it really is and I’m 10 weeks tomorrow.
