@AdriannaP
@ComebackQueen

I think it's just us at the moment (sorry if I forgot anyone) but hoping that more and more of us will be joining soon!
I figured it would be nice to stay in touch here too, throughout the exciting yet nerve-wracking next stages! 💞

How are you getting on? 🙂

I really like that mantra @eloiseislost- thank you for sharing it 😊

Makingnumber2 · 28/04/2021 17:44

Ps I also have a tilted uterus!! So odd 3 of us on here have on?!

Makingnumber2 · 28/04/2021 17:44

That should say : have one!

Bizawit · 28/04/2021 17:45

@Makingnumber2 amazing line!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩. For a cheepy as well... 🥳

Bluey18 · 28/04/2021 17:56

Omg I can't believe 3 of us have it, such a coincidence, I hadn't heard of anyone having it before! And the extra scan is a nice bonus so I am taking it as a positive 😊. Won't be the worst thing if it happens to you too @Bizawit Smile

Those lines are great @Makingnumber2, better than mine were I think, I found the cheapies unreliable for line progression, I was bleeding at the time as well so I stopped as I was too anxious but yours look really good! 😁

Makingnumber2 · 28/04/2021 20:09

@Bluey18 yes deffo make most of extra scan! I had a few extra growth ones and a second 20 week one (as DD was in wrong position for heart to be fully checked) with my DD and it was so nice to see her more often.

Considering about 25% of women have tilted uterus it is deffo a bit weird 3 out of 7 of us on here have one- that we know so far anyway. Any other tilted uterus owners on here? Come and join the gang! Grin

eloiseislost · 28/04/2021 20:28

@Makingnumber2 That's an awesome line!!! 👏🏼 🎉

I thought my bump was bigger today (16+5) but I think it's more or less the same! It fluctuates so much during the day, it's very odd!
I bought maternity jeans from M&S to treat myself, bought size 6 because that's my normal size and they barely fit. 🙊 Everyone keeps saying that your size in maternity clothing is the same as your usual size, which makes me think I've put on some serious timber and not baby weight… 🙈

Bluey18 · 28/04/2021 20:50

@Makingnumber2 oh definitely! I'll take any scans I can get 😁. I had to have a lot extra with DD too and loved it 😊

@eloiseislost Such a cute bump! The same size in maternity did not work for me, I was a size 10 pre pregnancy for dd but ended up buying mostly 12/14 mat wear 🤔😁

You’re looking good! I just ordered some maternity clothes. I didn’t know m&s did them. Will have to go and look!

eloiseislost · 28/04/2021 22:43

@Bluey18 That makes me feel better! I know I sound very superficial, but I lost a lot of weight years ago, so gaining weight triggers some anxiety for me. The more I see the bump though, the more I love my new body. 🥰

@Remembermee They don't have a whole lot, but the jeans are nice! 👖

@Makingnumber2 how are your lines? X

eloiseislost · 30/04/2021 17:02

Yes @Makingnumber2, how have you been getting on? 😃

OP posts:
Makingnumber2 · 30/04/2021 17:23

@eloiseislost what a lovely neat little bump! And you have a figure I would kill to have! It can definitely be hard dealing with the physical changes of pregnancy so don’t chastise yourself for feeling a bit worried or meh about it.

@Bizawit lines are good- I think... thanks for asking 😊 blood test tomorrow morning at EPU so that’ll be the real decider. The last couple of days I’ve had quite a lot of pulling and stretching twinges- mostly below belly button level but a few today on same level and my belly button. Bit concerning considering the uterus hasn’t even moved up out of the pelvis bone this early... hoping it’s a sign things are growing nicely??! Either that or I’m going to be size of large whale (pre pregnancy I am already size of small whale) by end of first tri 😂

How’s everyone else doing today? Looking forward to bank holiday weekend? The rain has arrived where I am, just in time for it 🙈

Makingnumber2 · 30/04/2021 17:24

Forgot to post lines! Top is 10dpo and bottom is today. Or it might be left is 10dpo and right is today.... can’t work out the rotation on pic!

@Makingnumber2 Oh these are great lines! Keeping everything crossed for your blood test tomorrow! 🤞🏼 Will you get the results on the same day?
Twinges and pulls are definitely nothing to worry about at this stage, it's just from all the crazy things our bodies have to do! It's early for the uterus to be moving up, but the body may well be preparing for it already. Don't they say you show sooner with your second pregnancy?
Also, I'm sure you are nowhere near the size of a whale, even a small one! 😄

Bizawit · 30/04/2021 17:50

Yay they look great @Makingnumber2 😍. Fx for your bloods, but looking at those lines I’ve no doubt the news will be good. I got lots of cramps at the beginning too. Now I have these shooting pains in my pelvis when I move suddenly or sneeze. I remember that from last time too..

I’ve been suffering so much from ms the last few days. Last night was awful I couldn’t even hold down water. And today again I’ve basically been in bed or lying on the couch in between trips to the loo. When does this end? 😩 Drs finally gave me some meds but I’m suspicious of them- they look like they are meant for allergies or something? Not sure if they are going to be effective or safe.
@ComebackQueen how are you getting on? How is the HG? What meds did you take?

Makingnumber2 · 30/04/2021 18:29

Thanks for the reassurance ladies Smile. Hopefully I will get the results tomorrow @eloiseislost- if it isn't good news I'm driving straight to supermarket and buying some booze.
If it is good news I'll move on to feeling anxious waiting for the scan Grin Gosh isn't early pregnancy anxiety fun?!

Sorry to hear you've been so sick @Bizawit- that must be so miserable for you. I had meds from my doctor before for sickness with DD1 and they were ones you had to put under your lip up against your gumline and wait for them to dissolve- or under your tongue. They had such a disgusting taste they made me feel sicker tbh so I stopped taking them. My sickness was always from 4pm onwards. 6 months of never eating dinner basically.
What's the name of the meds you've been given?

Bluey18 · 30/04/2021 20:23

@Bizawit Sorry to hear you are suffering, I got very sick at just over 5 weeks and even now at 11+4, meds are the only thing keeping me functioning, still sick but functioning. I'm on a drug called cariban, although I'm not in the UK. Can I ask is it Cyclizine your doc has prescribed? That is indeed a form of antihistamine and anti- emetic and is usually the first option in the UK as far as I understand. If that doesn't work they will try you on something else. It can be a case of trying things until something works. Hope you get some relief soon xxx

Bluey18 · 30/04/2021 20:24

@Makingnumber2 Looks great! I don't think there will be any booze for you 😅

eloiseislost · 01/05/2021 08:29

@Makingnumber2 Good luck for today, I will be thinking of you! 🤞🏼🌈

Bizawit · 01/05/2021 09:26

@Makingnumber2 good luck today 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Bluey18 they have prescribed me promethazine. It seems a bit obscure?!

Bluey18 · 01/05/2021 09:32

@Bizawit that's also a type of antihistamine and quite similar to Cyclizine. Have you seen this website? It's a good resource for morning sickness/HG support. This page goes through the different types of medication and how they work Smile

Bizawit · 01/05/2021 10:19

Ahh thank you @Bluey18 that’s really helpful. Looks like it’s a standard first treatment in the uk then 🤷🏼‍♀️. Will try it xx

Makingnumber2 · 01/05/2021 17:24

Thank you @eloiseislost and @Bizawit and @Bluey18 you were right- no booze for me for now!
I had my bloods done earlier and results just back. Levels now 700 and were 43 a week ago. So I was expecting higher but then realised they don't double every day they double every 48h. Anyway they've booked me a scan and more bloods for next Thursday so another appointment to count down to- but I am pleased the levels have gone up so much and hope this means it'll be a healthy and sticky bean xxx

Bluey18 · 01/05/2021 17:32

@Makingnumber2 Fantastic news 👏🙌😀. Come on, keep growing little bean 💖
