@AdriannaP
@ComebackQueen

I think it's just us at the moment (sorry if I forgot anyone) but hoping that more and more of us will be joining soon!
I figured it would be nice to stay in touch here too, throughout the exciting yet nerve-wracking next stages! 💞

How are you getting on? 🙂

NHS dating scan done ✅
Due date 8th October 💞
Because I had the Harmony, they didn't do nuchal and the bloods, as midwives said they are way less accurate.
One wiggly wee girl in there waving! 👋🏼🥰

Beautiful 😍😍🥰🥰 what lovely news and pictures! Thrilled for you 💕💕💕

AdriannaP · 26/03/2021 12:58

My dd is 25th September but we probably won’t find out the gender.

eloiseislost · 26/03/2021 15:22

@AdriannaP We wanted to find out the gender ASAP in order to have enough time to agree on a name. Just to give you an idea, it took DH and I 3 years to pick a new sofa… 😂

Awww @eloiseislost huge congratulations 🎉 ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍. Gorgeous scan pics - they are so clear!!!

Definitely go for it on the maternity jeans- they are so bloody comfy. I think I started wearing maternity clothes by the end of the first tri last time.

eloiseislost · 26/03/2021 23:24

@Bizawit My bladder was SO full, the sonographer said I should get an award or something! 😂 All worth it though, we could see her very clearly! 💕
We are moving to our new home on the 7th, my plan is to order maternity wear right after and also a birthing ball to start exercising a bit.

By the way, have you all started pelvic floor exercises?
I've been using the NHS Squeezy app, it's really handy.

@eloiseislost we will have a similar issue 🤣🤣last time we couldn’t agree on a boys name but thankfully had a girl. My DH pretty much liked no names 😫🤦🏻‍♀️ Or they remind him of someone he doesn’t like. It’s tough!

AdriannaP · 27/03/2021 08:02

@Bizawit is this your second too? How old is your first?

Bizawit · 27/03/2021 18:30

@AdriannaP, yes no 2 ☺️. My DD is 21 months. How old is yours I can’t remember?

I’m feeling soo nauseous and lightheaded already. Don’t know what is up with this pregnancy!! It feels very early to be having these kinds of symptoms. I’ll try to take it as a positive though that hormones are going strong.
Also @eloiseislost does your Fitbit track your sleep? I’ve noticed since getting preg that I get virtually no deep sleep anymore Confused. Do you have the same?

eloiseislost · 27/03/2021 18:51

@Bizawit I'm not surprised you have so many symptoms, you got a 3+ on CB when you were a couple days late, that's insane!! And definitely a very good sign! 😃
I don't have a Fitbit, I have an Apple Watch and it's really crap at tracking sleep. But even without the data, I can tell you that yes, I barely get any deep sleep. I know because I wake up multiple times during the night (not necessarily to pee) from the slightest sound in the room and in the morning I don't feel rested or refreshed. 😴

Thanks for the maternity clothes suggestions @AdriannaP, ordered a few pairs of jeans from different places to try out! 👖

AdriannaP · 27/03/2021 19:30

@Bizawit my DD is 5 already! Had 3 MC and several chemical pregnancies in the last 2 years.

Good sign that you are so nauseous already! Sorry I know it’s not pleasant, my nausea improved a lot after week 13. Are you going to have an early scan?

Bizawit · 27/03/2021 22:44

@eloiseislost you’ve got me looking up symptoms of twins! 🤣. I think it’s very unlikely as there’s never been a twin preg in the family. I’m also ravenously hungry (along with nauseous) but I’m wondering if this is a combination of the fact that I’m now pregnant and still breastfeeding my toddler. 🤔.

@AdriannaP I can’t even imagine what a struggle that has been. It’s soo wonderful you are finally getting your happy ending 😍. Did you struggle to conceive #1 or did it start with #2? Have you told your DD ? Is she excited?

I think I will get an early scan as I won’t manage the stress of waiting until 12 weeks. On the other hand I’m terrified of scans as I had a previous MMC diagnosed at a scan, so they really set me off. So I haven’t booked anything yet, and haven’t decided yet when I will. I want to avoid scanning too early as I keep reading horror stories about how measurements are all out/ it can be hard to see a heart beat etc and then there’s a horrible wait to see how things develop 😨. I’m thinking of maybe booking one for around 8-9 weeks if I can last that long.

eloiseislost · 28/03/2021 04:07

@Bizawit I'm sure you can have twins even if it doesn't "run in the family"! 💕
Oh don't get me started on the combo of "ravenous + nauseous", it pretty much sums up first trimester for me! 😄

I found the early scans to be a mixture of horror and bliss! I had 3 in total, one at 6w, one at 8w and the NIPT & scan at 10w. The day before and day of each I was paralysed with fear, but after seeing the little blob on the screen I was elated! 🥰 I'm not sure I can go through 8 weeks before my next NHS scan, I might book one for 16w or thereabouts.
In terms of dates, mine were within 3 days of when I thought I ovulated until the 10 and 12 week scans, when it was confirmed to be exactly what I thought.
I think with early scans (prior to 10 weeks), like most things we read here, people are more likely to post "horror stories" and look for reassurance than if everything goes as expected.

@Bluey18 Congratulations on your BFP and the good news at the scan, despite the anxiety of the bleeding! ❤️
I hope you will join us here! 🙂

PS: I don't remember who asked me about deep sleep, but it's 4am and I'm wide awake so that pretty much answers it! 😄

AdriannaP · 28/03/2021 07:46

@Bizawit thank you!! No struggles with DD1, she was conceived after 1 cycle. She is thrilled to be a big sister.

Agree I wouldn’t book a scan too early. My first one was 7 weeks (NHS scan as I had MC) and I measured 5 days behind. That stressed me a lot but now I am measuring right! 😅 of course I know exactly when I ovulated.
I also had 3 so far but all NHS, and my next one is my 20 week scan. I might book a private one before if they allow my DD to come. (Not easy to find atm)

Bluey18 · 28/03/2021 10:31

@eloiseislost Thank you for the tag and oh my goodness, how lovely to see that beautiful scan and what looks like a very energetic baby girl! Probably biased as I have a DD, but baby girls are just wonderful ❤

@AdriannaP wow you are in the second trimester already, times really flying! I hope you get to see your mum soon xx. I haven't seen mine in a very long time, thinking of telling her about about the pregnancy early as I know it will cheer her up not seeing her DGD in so long.

@Bizawit Oh my gosh wow there is no denying that BFP 😍. Congratulations!!!

As for me, 7 weeks today. Did not have much sickness with my DD, mostly fatigue and hunger but I am 🤢 24/7 with this one. Roll on second trimester 😅

eloiseislost · 28/03/2021 19:33

@Bluey18 Thanks! ❤️ Even though I would've been happy with either, the fact that it's a girl feels me with so much joy! 💝

I thought I was over the nausea and fatigue stage but we went to Costco with DH today and then popped over a friend's garden for a chat and now I feel knackered, like I moved a mountain or something! And very, very nauseous! 🤢

@ComebackQueen How are you? Are you still struggling with HG?

OP posts:
ComebackQueen · 31/03/2021 13:30

@Bizawit congratulations and a warm welcome to the club.

I hope everything goes well for you all.

@eloiseislost omg beautiful scan pictures so glad everything is going well.

I’m unfortunately still really bad with HG but I was given a reassurance scan yesterday due to really bad cramping and brown discharge.
I’m 9 weeks according to measurements (further ahead than I calculated) and a heart beat was visualised.

As it was a reassurance scan I was told ‘you don’t get pictures and we only scan to check to see if the baby is ok’.

As we are so close to the 12 weeks mark, I won’t bother with a private scan now.

I’ll try check in more regularly if not I’ll be back in 12 weeks to let you all know how the 12 week scan went.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and I’ll catch you around soon Flowers

eloiseislost · 31/03/2021 22:28

@ComebackQueen Sorry to hear about the HG but what great news about your scan! Seeing the heartbeat is such an emotional experience! 💓

We are moving house next Wednesday, so I have some anxiety around that -I don't like change!

In terms of symptoms, I feel a bit more like myself, still nauseous and getting easily tired, but my eating habits are more "normal" for me. Mood swings galore though, yesterday I was crying at the slightest mishap (like when I couldn't find the oven baked salt & vinegar crisps at Tesco's -they were right behind me by the way 🤣) today I am utterly euphoric!

Also, my H&M maternity jeans arrived, they are SO comfy! 😃👖

@ComebackQueen ahh wonderful news. So glad to hear. Congratulations 💕💕🤩

Janefx40 · 02/04/2021 06:43

Hi Ladies. So glad you started this graduates thread - the support is so good. Some of the women I met on Mumsnet when I was doing IVF for my first are still good friends - a few of us have even met up with our babies.

Anyway I just wanted to say hi even though I myself am not pregnant! Also @ComebackQueen my best friend has had terrible HG 3 times so if you want me to ask her the tips on the good drugs I will pass that on.

Anyway sorry to intrude (especially since I've been pretty silent even on the original thread) but it makes me sooooo happy to see people progressing with their pregnancy.

Happy Easter xxx

eloiseislost · 02/04/2021 09:11

Hello @Janefx40, it's really good to hear from you and thanks for stopping by! 🙂
You are not intruding at all, after all this thread was your idea! 😄
We all started from the same point and we will all end up here -I truly believe that, it's just timings that are different. So it's great to keep in touch!
I hope you have a lovely Easter! 🐣❤️

15 weeks today! Had a tiny bit of spotting a few days ago but nothing since. Fingers crossed it was nothing.

@ComebackQueen congratulations on your scan! 🥰🥰 Hope your HG improves soon!!

Happy Easter everyone 🐣🐰🐣

eloiseislost · 02/04/2021 10:44

Happy Easter @AdriannaP! 🐣
I'm exactly 2 weeks behind you, 13 weeks today! Eeeek 😬

OP posts:
Bizawit · 02/04/2021 11:28

Happy Easter all! So envious of you ladies in the second tri! I’m just 5+5 here and feeling as rough as anything. 😨 symptoms didn’t even start until 6 weeks last time! I’ve got a feeling this is going to be a Longg couple of months.

@AdriannaP I hope the spotting wasn’t too stressful. I had a few episodes in my last pregnancy and it always sent me into a bit of an anxiety spiral. xx

@Janefx40 lovely of you to pop in, and I hope you join us properly soon 😃! Xx
