@eloiseislost so glad to hear your fully recovered from the C section and, that breast feeding is going well now.
As yours was an elective and mine was an emergency c section it might explain why I’m really feeling my back even with going light on lifting last few days and l, I’m at four weeks post op too!
Other than that the front side of the section seems better with only sporadic twinges and, I’ve lovingly been christened Kangaroo by my nephew due to my pouch which doesn’t seem to be deflating, probably as now I no longer have HG I’ve been eating everything not nailed down.
Weirdly, all those people who had HG and said you instantly forget how horrific it was almost like you never had it… they were so right, it’s like it never existed since Ozzy arrived.
Random question but what’s the average ounces I should expect Ozzy to be on at four weeks? I ask only because I’m FF and, the HV told me to feed on demand but the hospital gave me instructions to use birth weight x 2.5 and, we have purchased baby scales that midwives use and find the little one is always hungry despite us following the hospital guidance to the letter for feeds every 3 hours.
Also, we were told no more than eight feeds so at three hourly intervals but if I were to follow the feeding on demand routine, I’d be constantly fixing him a bottle.
I also have a lot of spit up and regurgitation from Ozzy and, we had to change formula because midwife suspected acid reflux so went from aptamil to hipp organic.
I’m just so confused and HV seems fo insist FOD whilst midwife has said she’s inclined to go with hospital on discharge.
I’ve searched MN and people have said some of their babies guzzle six ounces at four weeks so I’m like WTf
