@HalGem99 I'm getting heartburn too! Oddly it's mostly in the evenings? It's a pain under my right rib so I'm assuming that's what it is! I tried gaviscon dual action but it didn't help much, so I went to the pharmacy and they prescribed me something I haven't seen before. I'll let you know if it's any good.

How's everyone doing? I feel like I'm losing my mind half the time 🙈

@Daffodil21 I went to the doctors and they prescribed omeprozole! I only took one tablet and was fine the next day but it's come back again so going to take another one! What did you get prescribed?

I am going through the worrying stage again even though it's been less than a week since my midwife appointment! Trying to hold on until the scan next Saturday but struggling to be honest! How are you? Xx

Daffodil21 · 01/04/2021 17:51

I got prescribed co-magaldrox. Never even heard of it before but hopefully it does the job!

Right there with you - it's been a week since my 20 week scan and worrying again. I just don't see how this is going to result in a baby. We've got a meeting with the consultant on Monday, which my husband pushed for because there has been zero monitoring throughout this pregnancy. Im still not feeling any movements and I would like the length of my cervix to be checked before (and after) I come off the progesterone. It's probably fine but I'm not taking that chance. Not feeling excited, despite buying lots of baby stuff. I thought that would help but tbh it hasn't really! I feel like I'm just going through the motions and wishing the weeks and months away.

Is your next scan a private one? If it is just bring it forward if you need to. I've done that many times myself because once you've got that uncontrollable worry in your head, nothing is going to help until you see a healthy scan x

HalGem99 · 03/04/2021 09:58

@Daffodil21 yes it is a private one. I've decided I'm just going to wait. I've had a lot of stretching feeling the last week, especially when I move in bed so hoping that's normal!

Are you doing antenatal classes? The NHS offers them here but I think I'm going to book private ones instead. It's £205 but as first time parents I think we need it! Clueless! Xx

Daffodil21 · 03/04/2021 10:37

@HalGem99 that's a really good sign! Hopefully it'll come round before you know it.

We haven't done any yet but we will be do. I actually haven't really looked into it yet. We are clueless too! The other day we googled how to make up a baby's cot as we had no idea! Thankfully there are diagrams!

Hope you are both doing well and having a lovely Easter @Daffodil21 and @HalGem99.

So glad your scan went well @Jaymar! Lovely lovely lovely! :-)

Daffodil21 · 05/04/2021 12:20

Thank you @treesall got a meeting with the consultant this afternoon where I hope they agree to some extra monitoring.

How are you doing? X

treesall · 05/04/2021 20:59

Fine thank you.

Sadly nothing has happened naturally so MVA tomorrow. Wahhh! I'll be relieved when it's all over. X

Daffodil21 · 05/04/2021 21:09

@treesall so so sorry you're still having to physically deal with this. I hope tomorrow goes as well as it can xx

OP posts:
HalGem99 · 05/04/2021 21:17

@treesall I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

@daffodil21 how did you get on with the consultant?

Daffodil21 · 05/04/2021 21:38

@HalGem99 surprisingly good! They said I should have been consultant led all this time, not midwife led. They gave me a scan today and checked my cervix, and she'll do growth scans at 24, 28, 32, 36 weeks (and 39 if needed). I'll have a meeting with the consultant after each scan from 28 weeks onwards and she'll advise either a vaginal birth or c section based on how the growth scans are. They're also going to do the fasting diabetes test, even though I don't have any family history. We had a look afterwards and it seems like they are offering more than standard for recurrent mc/consultant led, so we think they're trying to make up for the many mistakes they've made so far - I'm not complaining! I feel much better knowing we will be more closely monitored, although extra scans won't prevent anything going wrong, it's still good to know we'll be checked. How are you doing?

That is amazing news! I'm OK, just counting down the days until Saturday! Xx

Daffodil21 · 06/04/2021 17:04

@HalGem99 yeah it is. They definitely gave us more because we (quite rightfully) kicked up such a fuss! Ah I hope Saturday comes around quickly for you! What time is your app? X

OP posts:
HalGem99 · 06/04/2021 17:07

I've changed the appointment to tonight! It's at 6.45pm. I couldn't help myself! Xx

Daffodil21 · 06/04/2021 17:09

@HalGem99 I've done that many times! Hope all goes well - let us know x

@HalGem99 how did you get on? X

I've had a nightmare! Just before the scan I went for a wee and when I wiped there was mucus with stringy brown blood!! The scan lady couldn't see any reason for it and the baby was fine but I called the hospital and they said to go in. 5 hours later they listened to the heartbeat and took some swabs and put it down to one of those things. Just need to keep an eye on things. HD pic attached! Creepy lol xx

@HalGem99 how stressful for you!! Glad all turned out to be ok. I know it's hard to believe with our history, but blood isn't always the end. I had that red bleed at 6.5 weeks and it seems to have been ok. Glad you got checked out.

Awww look at him/her!

HalGem99 · 07/04/2021 10:06

I'm going to book another scan for next week just for peace of mind! We find out on Saturday what it is so will let you know!

Daffodil21 · 07/04/2021 10:10

@HalGem99 I would too. Wouldn't be able to help myself!

Ah soo exciting to find out!

We bought a crib off marketplace last night. It freaks me out every time I look at it! Might ask DH to move it to a different room for the time being!

OP posts:
HalGem99 · 07/04/2021 10:18

It's all becoming real now if you've got the crib! I've been buying bits here and there but going to get the big stuff after my 20 week scan! I'm of the opinion now, that buying and having the baby stuff in the house doesn't bother me or freak me out anymore because if the worst was to happen, I know that I will be a mum at some point even if I can't have my own. Xx

Daffodil21 · 07/04/2021 10:42

@HalGem99 I just think that even if you wait until 39 weeks to buy things, it can still all go wrong, and we can't wait until they're here to buy everything!

Yeah exactly, we just said we'll either store it away for later or just donate it all if we can't bear to look at it

HalGem99 · 10/04/2021 17:54

It's a little girl!!! Xx

Daffodil21 · 10/04/2021 18:43

@HalGem99 aww thrilled for you!!! Are you going to start thinking about buying stuff now or hold off a little longer? How far are you now? I lose track of the weeks!

OP posts:
HalGem99 · 10/04/2021 19:18

@Daffodil21 I'm going to buy buy buy!!! The shops reopen here on Monday! I will be 19 weeks on Tuesday. How many weeks are you now xx
