@Daffodil21 oh wow. You were let down so bad by your hospital. I'm so sorry you didn't get answers you deserved! But I'm so happy that you have found something that has worked out for you to have your baby boy! How exciting. Boys are just lovely. My joy is 9 and he's honestly such a mums boy 💙

Daffodil21 · 10/07/2021 06:50

@Blxo94 aw that sounds lovely!

To be honest, I'm kind of glad we don't have answers in a way. This pregnancy happened straight away after my last mc so the results could have just made me even more anxious during this one. If I hadn't got pregnant straight away I would have been absolutely fuming though!!!

@lukiebebe I'm so sorry you lost your son. That must have been really really tough.

@Blxo94 I'm sorry you've had such a horrible journey too. I really hope this one works out for you.

I'm very newly pregnant, only found out a week ago and I'm 4+4, so very very early days. My first pregnancy was successful, followed my a mmc, then two chemicals / early losses before 6 weeks and then the last one was a partial molar. This is attempt number 5 and I am on treatment for NK cells so hoping desperately that this one sticks. I'm petrified of it being a partial mole again and I don't even know if and when they can diagnose that / confirm it's not Confused

I am having a scan in a couple of weeks, and if that happened to be successful I will be scanned every 2 weeks until 16 weeks. It feels very unlikely we will get that far. X

Blxo94 · 11/07/2021 16:41

@treesall hi! My molar pregnancy was a partial molar pregnancy!! They start screening for it at 8 weeks. Well atleast I know in my area (Edinburgh-Scotland) does. I would question them about this as you are entitled to early scans due to previous partial molar! I am terrified also of having another one! Did you feel very unwell with your partial molar? I got horrendous sickness and major migraines. I got to 13 weeks until they noticed my partial molar and baby had passed at 12 weeks. Fingers crossed for you x

treesall · 11/07/2021 21:05

@Blxo94 no I didn't get unwell. That's how I knew it wasn't right to be honest because I didn't get nauseous (abs with my successful pregnancy I was sooo sick), plus scans at 6/7/8 weeks all showed the development was behind until the hb stopped at 9.

Charing Cross told me to get a scan at 8 weeks at my local EPU, but my miscarriage consultant will scan me at 6/8/10/12/16 (at great expense, which makes me feel sick thinking about it!) so I assume he will check for that. If we make it as far as 8 weeks I might see if the EPU will scan me at 9 weeks too as an extra one which might help the anxiety a bit... I don't know. I can't see it getting that far to be honest.

I'm sorry you lost your baby at 12 weeks. That must have been hard. I'm grateful in many ways that mine have all happened by 9. I think it must get harder the later it is x

Blxo94 · 11/07/2021 21:11

@treesall that's good your being looked after and have scans in place! And it is extremely hard. I found my anencephaly babies the hardest as I had to go in and deliver them. The partial molar was difficult afterward as the monthly blood tests and urine tests to check hcg levels jsut kept reminding me of what had happened and the unable to try to conceive until I got the all the clear. I hope this is our time after such a crap time! Praying for us both x

Daffodil21 · 21/07/2021 22:06

So I've got my c section date booked - 9th August so only 3 days before my due date. Not too confident I won't go into labour before this date and I think I've mentioned on here before my concerns about making it to the hosp in time, but we'll just have to see! Less than 3 weeks to go I guess 😱

How is everyone doing? Has anyone got any upcoming scans? @treesall I know you have and absolutely hoping for the best x

Hang on in there everyone!

@Daffodil21 that's so exciting!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that the baby stays put until then! My son arrived a week early and got me by surprise so I hope your little one doesn't!! Are you all ready? Baby clothes washed and crib up and hospital bag packed? Eeeeeeeee!

36 hours til my scan and I'll be put out of my misery. Fairly sure it's all over already and just hoping it miscarries naturally without needing another MVA, not sure I can face a third. Of course I'm desperately hoping For a miracle!

Blxo94 · 21/07/2021 23:06

I have my 8 week scan tomorrow to check for molar pregnancy. Fingers crossed it's ruled out 😊xxxx

treesall · 21/07/2021 23:26

Best of luck @Blxo94. Will be thinking of you x

Blxo94 · 21/07/2021 23:51

@treesall you too! Keep us updated on your scan x

Daffodil21 · 22/07/2021 08:43

@treesall yeah we're all ready in terms of baby stuff and hospital bag etc. Have been for weeks as I was expecting a really early arrival and tbh I'm actually amazed I'm still pregnant. Officially 37 weeks today, so full term. I would say I'm excited but I'm not tbh. Just no idea how it's going to turn out! I really hope Friday goes ok for you x

Good luck today @Blxo94. I'll be thinking of you - let us know x

Scan went amazing ❤️ measuring right on point. Strong heartbeat. No molar pregnancy detected at all, so it's now ruled out! Babies shape looks perfect so far. Will know more in 2 weeks at my fetal medicine scan for babies head. But for now everything's perfect and healthy! I have a hematoma but it's small and nothing to be worried about ❤️ I'm so happy x

GreenGecko36 · 22/07/2021 11:11

Excellent news @Blxo94! If you don't mind me asking, do you know they check for partial mole so early? My 3rd miscarriage last year was partial molar, but looked perfect at the 9wk scan, hb stopped by 12wk scan, and the partial mole was only diagnosed after karyotyping....
I'm not entertaining any thought of a due date yet either - it's too heartbreaking to have the date in mind and then have to try to forget it when it all goes wrong.

@treesall so sorry to hear your instincts are telling you things haven't worked out this time, I really hope your wrong though!

@Daffodil21 congratulations on the massive milestone of 37wks!! I reread your story from the rmc testing thread, and so pleased for you to be so close to holding that baby in your arms after everything that's happened :)

Got my ~9wk scan tomorrow, so fingers crossed. I've spent the last 2 weeks oscillating between being convinced it was all over (boobs not sore anymore, not tired, nausea gone) and then the two days later 'feeling pregnant' again... Not too optimistic, so let's see....

Blxo94 · 22/07/2021 11:18

@GreenGecko36 so that pretty much happened to me the first time too. Everything was fine and then at 13 weeks the baby had passed away at 12 weeks. Only then they noticed the partial molar in my placenta. So basically they didn't look for it before. Hence why it can go undetected. But today they scanned me for a long time they checked everything. They did an internal scan after the abdominal scan and the had internal scanned me for 10 minutes which is pretty long. They were scanning the placenta and the umbilical cord for quite a while and told me that there is absolutely nothing there that shouldn't be. They seemed 100% positive that no molar was there as she said it would be there right now if it was going to happen. Hopefully because you have had a previous partial molar like myself they will look more in depth for you. I can imagine that's maybe why you have a 9 week scan tomorrow! I have everything crossed for you ❤️xx

treesall · 22/07/2021 11:21

That is such amazing news @Blxo94! I'm so happy for you. Good that you have another scan in 2 weeks too.

@GreenGecko36 try not to worry - it is normal for symptoms to come and go. I hope all is perfect at your scan tomorrow! It's such a nerve wracking time.

Thank you for your kind words. My nipples are a bit sore / stinging today, but I'm not sure whether that's just because I've prodded them so much to try and see if they're even a tiny bit tender! 😂.

Daffodil21 · 23/07/2021 09:29

@Blxo94 amazing news!!

@GreenGecko36 totally normal not to look into a due date. I didn't either until I was told it at scans. Really hope your scan goes well today - let us know x

@treesall really hope everything goes well for your scan today - please let us know x

Scan this morning went really well - measuring exactly right for my dates (a first for us!) and this time we could even see some movement as well 😁😁
Going to hold on to this positivity as long as I can, thank you so much everyone for your good wishes ♥️♥️

Hope everyone else is doing ok, thinking of you @treesall with your scan today too x

Blxo94 · 23/07/2021 10:52

@GreenGecko36 that's brilliant news! I'm so happy for you!

@treesall massive good luck today. I have everything crossed!

treesall · 23/07/2021 10:53

Thanks @Daffodil21 and @GreenGecko36

@GreenGecko36 that's amazing news! So pleased for you!! Hope that's reassured you a little.

My news is kinda inconclusive. We saw an embryo measuring the right size (one day behind) and a heartbeats. However, the heart rate is a bit slow, which the consultant said is not conclusive but is worrying. No idea how to get through the next two weeks to be honest!

Daffodil21 · 23/07/2021 11:06

@GreenGecko36 yesss! That's brilliant!

@treesall oh no! I'm so so sorry you're in limbo again!! The size and heartbeat is a good sign though x

Blxo94 · 23/07/2021 11:25

@treesall as hard as it may be, try see the positives from the scan for now. You have a baby there and baby has a heartbeat and the measurements are accurate. Take you victories and cling to them to try help you through these 2 weeks. I know its worrying I totally understand. Drink plenty fluids and give yourself some self love to keep yourself calm and try not to stress ❤️

We are all rooting for you x

Blxo94 · 25/07/2021 18:24

How is everyone doing?

I am constantly sleeping at the moment. Can't seem to keep my eyes open! This week I've been hit hard with the sickness and nausea! It hasn't been great! Just thought I'd check in ☺️

Daffodil21 · 25/07/2021 18:38

@Blxo94 listen to your body and don't push yourself!!

I'm good thank you - I had increased movements earlier so phone the ward to check that was ok as although it wasn't a reduction it was a change. They hooked me up to the CTG monitoring machine for half hour and all is ok so that's a relief.

I've also booked an air b&b for the whole week before my section, which is less than 10 mins from the hospital which I feel a lot better about. Just need to make it to next Monday now!

How is everyone else? X

treesall · 26/07/2021 18:29

@Blxo94 how many weeks are you? I think it's good you're so tired, means your body is busy!

I'm ok thank you. Pretty tired. Very slightly nauseous but it's not got any worse which is making me feel the pregnancy is failing :-(. I was quite sick with my son by this point and it got really bad at 7 weeks but it's nowhere near as bad this time, it's just very faint waves of nausea when my tummy is empty. I've had 24 hours of trying really hard to be positive about this pregnancy but it's so hard. I just feel sure it's going wrong :-(

@Daffodil21 I hope you're not tooo anxious in the final couple of weeks! Will you stay at that air b&b the whole time? X
