@treesall that's brilliant! Just to check I understand - does that mean your last pregnancy wasn't a molar one after all?

Well I wouldn't exactly say lots. But something every day at least now. I can only feel at the side or bottom so the placenta is definitely doing a good job of being a cushion! I had a midwife appointment the other day which picked up that I had high glucose in my blood, so I had the fasting test this morning. It was actually booked anyway, but it seems I do actually need it now! The test was fine, had to sit for 2 hours between blood tests but the ward was empty and I had the tv to myself! Just hope they come back clear.. I've got a growth scan on Monday and an appointment with the consultant too. It's so much better now I don't feel we are just being left to it! X

I think it means that there is no molar tissue remaining. I don't know whether it could mean it wasn't molar in the first place, or whether it was but that it's fully resolved. Who knows! Fingers crossed for next week and then hopefully I can put that blip behind me!

Ohh is that fasting test the gestational diabetes one? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it's all clear. Glad you are being looked after.

How many weeks will you be for the growth scan? x

Daffodil21 · 21/05/2021 16:05

@treesall hope it all goes ok. Will be thinking of you.

Yeah it's the fasting one. Hoping the previous bloods were high because of breakfast..!

Just over 28 weeks at my next scan, so I'm actually in the 3rd trimester at last. Still can't get my around that at all tbh! X

Hi girls just checking in! How is everyone getting on? Sorry I haven't posted for a while, work and social life has been hectic!! Xx

Daffodil21 · 12/06/2021 08:50

Hi @HalGem99 ! Good thank you! I am now huge and my legs, ankles and feet have swollen up in this heat, but good! I've gone back down south for a couple of weeks to stay with my mum and catch up with some people which has been lovely. Will be packing good bag when back though!

How are you? C

OP posts:
HalGem99 · 12/06/2021 08:55

I feel your pain! Swollen feet and legs daily! I'm not sleeping at all at night and can't get comfortable from sleeping on my side all night even with my pregnancy pillow and 100 other pillows! Lol

I've got my glucose test tomorrow as my mum has diabetes. Not looking forward to that!

Everything OK with baby?

I bet it's lovely being home and catching up with everyone. Enjoy! Xx

Daffodil21 · 12/06/2021 09:46

@HalGem99 oh nooo! I'm not finding sleeping too bad! Except the millions of loo trips, and I usually wake earlier than hoped with aching hips.

Hope it goes ok! I had mine a few weeks ago and the test itself was totally fine! The drink wasn't the orange one I'd read about, it was clear and didn't taste of much. Then they left me to it for a couple of hours where I had the tv to myself as I was the only one there! Couldn't complain really 😂 my test was clear which was a relief.

Everything seems ok with baby. How about you? Xx

OP posts:
HalGem99 · 12/06/2021 09:54

Make the most of the sleep while you can! I'm getting about 3 hours! Oh that's good your results were clear! How long did you have to wait for them?

Baby is fine, had a private scan last weekend! And I've got another midwife appointment next week. Then I've booked in for a 4d HD scan the week after! Can't wait for that.

Xx

Daffodil21 · 12/06/2021 10:00

@HalGem99 oh I am! I'm surprised I'm mostly managing to get back to sleep ok after every loo trip tbh and definitely not taking this for granted!!

Mine were back the same day!!

Glad baby is ok - enjoy your scans! I've got my next growth scan on 21st then my next midwife app is the following week. Not tooo long to now!! Xx

treesall · 14/06/2021 23:43

Hi ladies! I've not been logging on here too much as have been giving myself a break from thinking about everything too much.

Glad to hear you're both doing well but I really do feel for you in the heat. I remember a little heatwave when I was 36 weeks with my son and it was sooo uncomfortable, particularly at night.

@HalGem99 ooooo 4d scan will be interesting!!
Hope your test was all clear.

@Daffodil21 you can't have toooo long left now?

I'm on Dr S treatment now, and he wants us to start trying this cycle, subject to getting the all clear from my molar pregnancy. I should get that on Friday so keeping my fingers crossed. My gut feel isn't very positive that we will end up with a baby but I'm hoping that's my defence mechanism to stop me getting my hopes up.

Each month of trying is going to cost about £450 in drugs so I'm feeling pressured to really give ttc our best shot this month. We can't afford to keep that up for long! I've so enjoyed the break over the last few weeks and am struggling to get into the ttc zone again but I'm sure I'll manage! X

Daffodil21 · 15/06/2021 13:43

@treesall lovely to hear from you ❤️ I'm so glad you're on Dr S's treatment plan. It sounds intense (and expensive!) but hopefully it's the answer.

I don't feel particularly positive that we'll end up with a baby either, which I'm sure most people would think was ridiculous if they looked at me..! I guess it is just a defence mechanism after all we've experienced. We just know that pregnancy does not = baby.

Due 12th August but hoping for an ELCS which I think brings it forward by a week, so 7 weeks max left (I think he may arrive early as I was, so was my brother, my husband and SIL arrived at 33 weeks). The early days went so slow but now they are definitely speeding up! The heat isn't tooo bad for me, I'm on maternity leave now so I can easily stay out of the sun. I'm also in Scotland so it's not so bad! X

HalGem99 · 16/06/2021 06:37

@treesall I'm glad the time has arrived where you can ttc again. The money is crazy but hopefully the treatment is successful quickly for you. I'm still keeping everything crossed!

I had 2 letters from the hospital yesterday, I've got gestational diabetes so I've been referred to the diabetic team next Tuesday and the obstetrics on 5th July! Thankfully I have the midwife on Friday so I can ask her questions as I was told I would get a call Monday if its positive but I didn't receive a call just the appointment letters in the post! Does anyone have any experience of gestational diabetes? Trying not to Google too much as I will freak out xx

treesall · 16/06/2021 15:07

Oh no @HalGem99 that is so annoying for you! I know it sounds scary but I think it's manageable once you get your head around it. I have two friends who had it and both found it ok once they got used to the diet changes. Both babies were fine and the problem was all resolved as soon as they were born. Still a pain for you but hopefully all will be ok. Xx

Daffodil21 · 16/06/2021 20:02

@HalGem99 no experience, sorry. I was worried I had it before my test though, and it looks like as long as it's picked up and monitored it's ok.

@treesall I hope your intralips went ok today?

X

Hi everyone!
Some of you might remember me from the RM testing thread - I had mmc 03/20, mc 07/20, mmc (partial mole) 11/20, and cp 04/21.
As you might have guessed, I'm joining you here because I got my BFP yesterday! (full disclosure: I actually tested the three days before that as well but after seeing the lines get fainter with the cp I wanted to be sure!) I'll call the EPU on Monday to get blood hcg done and hopefully a nice early scan booked in too, but I wondered if any of you could share any tips on staying calm/not going crazy in the first few weeks?
Glad to hear things are progressing for you all too, nice to be here with you 🙂

GreenGecko36 · 19/06/2021 13:17

Oh, and I should also mention that as I was diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome I'm taking aspirin every day, and should start with heparin injections once we see a heartbeat, hopefully those things make the difference this time x

Daffodil21 · 19/06/2021 14:15

@GreenGecko36 yessssss!!!!! This is such good news! Also really good you have a diagnosis so hopefully the aspirin and heparin will do the trick.

In terms of staying calm and not going crazy, that is tricky! To be honest the only thing that helped me was booking hcg bloods when it was too early for a scan, and then very regular private scans after that. I had one every 1-2 weeks until I could feel movement.

I'm so pleased for you! Please come here if you need a listening ear x

OP posts:
Daffodil21 · 19/06/2021 14:16

@GreenGecko36 also make sure you are consultant led rather than midwife led. They overlooked this with us until 20 weeks and now I get scanned every 4 weeks x

GreenGecko36 · 24/06/2021 11:12

Thanks @Daffodil21, it's so lovely to have the support Smile
Just waiting for the result from my 48hr hcg blood test - it was 1300 on Tuesday so a good starting point, hopefully it's doubled by now.
I'm just so paranoid the phone will ring and they'll say 'I'm sorry it's not good news'... Trying to keep busy at work but this is all I'm thinking about!

GreenGecko36 · 24/06/2021 12:41

Hcg more than doubled to 2900, so relieved!!
Scan booked on Tuesday when I should be 6+1, which will likely be too early to see a heartbeat but if all looks ok they'll start me on the heparin injections x

Daffodil21 · 24/06/2021 15:22

@GreenGecko36 so pleased for you! That's brilliant!

Argh the waiting for that phone call really is horrible isn't it. When I was waiting for mine a friend announced the birth of her child, literally 10 mins before my phone call! What are the chances. Thankfully my results were ok though.

Glad you've got a scan booked soon. Hopefully you will see a heartbeat, although aw you say it could be too early.

Hope you're managing to relax a litttle at least x

OP posts:
treesall · 27/06/2021 22:35

Congratulations @GreenGecko36 that's fab news. Hope your scan is perfect! Yay!

GreenGecko36 · 29/06/2021 11:42

All good at the scan this morning Grin
Not quite measuring where I thought based on lmp, but this cycle I had positive opk's twice about a week apart so I guess the first one was a false start Smile
Got my heparin to inject daily and another scan next week to check the progress, but for now I can be happy that everything looks as it should. Of course we have been here before, but staying optimistic that we're doing everything we can to give ourselves the best possible chance.
Thanks for the support @Daffodil21 and @treesall!!
