Due November 2021 - anyone?

Anyone else with veeery early November positives who wants to hop on a thread and keep one another company?

I’ll start - I’m a MN regular posting under a new name. Took a test this morning and got a BFP! I already have DD(3) and last year we sadly lost her sibling to miscarriage - so I’m expecting a nervous nine months ahead. Sorest boobs ever and odd dreams the past few days but otherwise feeling ok (I know it’s very early though!). Oh, and DD gave me a hug yesterday and announced that there was a baby in my belly 🤦‍♀️

How are others getting on?

Congratulations to all those that have recently joined!

@Rmd123 I am really close to my mum. I told her the first time when I was 4 weeks (it was their first grandchild). It was just nice to have someone to talk to and share your concerns with. She had experienced it all so it was always useful being able to turn to someone. I shared the highs and lows and I was glad I had that support otherwise it may have been a very difficult experience. I also shared the second pregnancy with her which ended in mmc but, it was a horrible experience during lockdown. I went alone to my scan. If it wasn't for the support of those around me it would have been a very difficult experience to come to terms with. All in all, it's what you feel comfortable with. Wish you all the best! X

happyavocado28 · 23/03/2021 16:45

@Alreadyinmypyjamas I’ve only been in my job less than one month! 😂

Mrbay · 23/03/2021 16:49

@happyavocado28 @Alreadyinmypyjamas - well she needed to know as I had to have time off for ivf. However, she has already told me the potential shopping list she has made on the White Company so she is really thrilled - our company really welcomes the new arrivals so it's all good 😊
Plus the sooner your company is aware, the sooner you are protected and if your job needs a risk assessment they can crack on and keep you and baby safe.

Alreadyinmypyjamas · 23/03/2021 16:57

@Mrbay your boss sounds awesome. She really does.

@happyavocado28 bloody hell - have you told your work yet?

My boss will be lovely about it. He loves kids. He's fostered then adopted himself. BUT my old boss was a prick so I have that doubt in my mind. I feel like a weight will be lifted once he knows, but then I'm telling myself I'm wrong and actually he will be disappointed.

Rmd123 · 23/03/2021 17:06

@Maya000 yeah i think I'll tell her! Like you said it will be nice to have someone to talk to especially another woman. Everyone here is great but nice to have someone to call or talk to in person too. Thanks a mil x

regirayful · 23/03/2021 17:08

@bages1977 - yay congrats! a few of us for late November and yes the next few weeks feel eons away but thankfully the spring is doing it's thing so that hopefully helps things move more pleasantly Flowers

@happyavocado28 - it's so interesting to me how varied services are across the country. I hear so many different stories from people here and on the Peanut app. My midwife community centre called me today confirming a 1hr phone appointment in mid-April. Also told my mum today - it was creating too much anxiety not telling her ( we have had a coughcomplex cough relationship!!!). She was cautious but happy for us and it was a great weight lifted Smile

happyavocado28 · 23/03/2021 17:26

@Alreadyinmypyjamas no haven’t told them yet, I’m going to have to wait it out until at least 12 weeks. Dreading it :( your boss sounds like he’ll react well though, let us know how he takes it

@regirayful - yeah I felt kind of embarrassed on the phone but it’s mixed advice, some say to let them know as early as possible and others say to just get in touch nearer 8weeks. Eeeek so scary about telling your mum! Glad she was happy. I’m sure my mums going to be cautious too!!!! At least it’s all out in the open, weight lifted now

happygolucky20 · 23/03/2021 17:37

Gosh I’m dreading telling my boss! Loads of work coming up around the time I shall be skipping off on maternity 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can I ask about vitamins? What are you all taking? I was taking a B100 complex from Holland and Barrett as I was spotting before my AF - first month of taking it we got our BFP! Is it safe to continue do you think, or shall I pop onto a normal pregnancy vitamin now? Petrified to change but know I’m taking super high doses of everything x

bages1977 · 23/03/2021 17:39

Thanks everyone ☺️

I spoke to the midwife yesterday and she has made me an appointment for mid feb.

In terms of telling people, I've told my parents and one friend who is currently also pregnant as I felt I needed people to talk to other than my partner. Will leave telling anyone else until the scan

babynov · 23/03/2021 17:40

This is my first time being pregnant so sorry for so many questions.

Since the moment I found out I have felt like my body is not 'mine' at the moment. I don't really feel like myself. Does anyone know what I mean /also experience this?

KimF64 · 23/03/2021 18:07

Hey everyone, seeking a bit of reassurance. I'm 5+5 with my first pregnancy and today had some pale brown blood when I wiped, and again a few hours later. Is this normal? I'm freaking out!Sad

monnis · 23/03/2021 18:17

@happygolucky20 I'd wondered this! I've been continuing to take my conceive + but didn't know if that was the right thing to do. Hopefully others will have advice

@Ttc2017 so glad to hear that you and your pregnancy are all ok x

@AlackAlasAlackaday congratulations on the news of your twins, so exciting! 😍

monnis · 23/03/2021 18:20

@Rmd123 I was going to try to keep it a surprise till 12 weeks this time but I have already told my mum and one friend. I am pretty sure I'll have told everyone close to me in the not too distant future as I am unable to keep it inside 😂

AlackAlasAlackaday · 23/03/2021 18:20

@KimF64 lovely it’s so frustrating/stressful but it’s likely wait and see at this stage. If you have more of it / a fair amount of red blood then I’d ring the EPU for advice and perhaps a scan.

OP posts:
monnis · 23/03/2021 18:23

@KimF64 I've heard lots of stories of women who experience bleeding in pregnancy. I agree with @AlackAlasAlackaday that calling EPU would be a good idea for advice xxxx

happygolucky20 · 23/03/2021 18:25

@monnis, I’m the same! I promised it would just be a secret between the DH and I and already told my mum and two work colleagues who are more like friends!! It won’t be long before the world knows 😂

Rmd123 · 23/03/2021 18:36

@happygolucky20 I'm taking pregnacare original. My doctor said I don't need anything else. They're not that expensive either which is great.

Hannah94L · 23/03/2021 19:31

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, think i'm 5 weeks today and due around the 23rd November. Already struggling with Nausea which kicked in yesterday!

Horehound · 23/03/2021 21:17

I am only 4+1 I think. I have been getting lower back pain all evening... it's such a worrying time the 12 weeks. I have an 19m old but can't remember what I experienced last time!

Sammy12xx · 23/03/2021 21:21

Hi new joiners, i am 4+1 and have sore boobs on and off but also after i have had my tea i feel queezy, acidy in my chest and bit dizzy.. looked it up and it can feel like car sickness or a hangover x doesnt happen every meal this is 2nd time at teatime... also i never fall asleep watching tv and i did last night 🙈 x

Sammy12xx · 23/03/2021 21:21

4+2 i mean 🙈😂

Girlmama3 · 24/03/2021 08:50

Hi everyone and congratulations to our new comers 🎉

I'm 6+2 today and have been in bed since Sunday evening. I've torn something in my back while gardening 😩 I'm taking codiene but not too much. Seriously fed up now.

happygolucky20 · 24/03/2021 08:51

@Sammy12xx we have the same date! I am just shattered but yet awake from 4am as I just can’t sleep. So strange!

pansa · 24/03/2021 09:19

5+2 feeling sick as heck. Also quite crampy but this is normal right?

Jessi68 · 24/03/2021 10:22

I'm 5+3 and really crampy too - freaking out about this several times a day, but Dr.Google says it's normal, muscles moving, getting ready for a shape change!
