Due November 2021 - anyone?

Anyone else with veeery early November positives who wants to hop on a thread and keep one another company?

I’ll start - I’m a MN regular posting under a new name. Took a test this morning and got a BFP! I already have DD(3) and last year we sadly lost her sibling to miscarriage - so I’m expecting a nervous nine months ahead. Sorest boobs ever and odd dreams the past few days but otherwise feeling ok (I know it’s very early though!). Oh, and DD gave me a hug yesterday and announced that there was a baby in my belly 🤦‍♀️

How are others getting on?

Wow, lovely to wake up and see lots of activity here! Welcome @Quolla, @1992EM, @Rotagilla, @Nnovember

@Garman have you told your DH yet? I'm absolutely amazed you managed it so long, mine had a running commentary about every twinge for the last few months poor guy Grin. Especially when we can't really tell friends etc yet, he's all I've got!

rotagilla sorry to hear you've also had a loss. We did too, and I think it's going to make for an anxious time. I've POAS twice now and keep looking at the sticks to reassure myself, mad as it sounds. Will probably keep doing it every few days and then aim for an early private scan at 8/9 weeks (not that that's a guarantee of anything, but hopefully it'll help a little bit).

Between us we seem to have all the symptoms Smile Envy

@AlackAlasAlackaday nope still haven't told him 🙈 And I definitely won't tell him now for the next few days because mil is coming to visit and if I tell him he'll want to tell her and that's absolutely not happening until 12 weeks minimum.

We haven't talked about ttc at all, the mmc pregnancy was a contraceptive failure and then after it we just both kind of agreed we wouldn't use any, rather than actively agree to ttc. I don't like talking about things that upset me much! So in my head I gave us 3 months from mmc to ttc and if it didn't happen then we were done, this is my 5th bfp, 2 dc, 2 traumatic births. Af was due today so this is the end of that time frame. If this one goes wrong I'm done, he's pretty chilled so there's no need for me to talk it all out with him because he's happy either way. And I just don't want to tell him so early like every other time and have him watching me and jumping up in concern every time I move or go to the bathroom. As long as I don't tell anyone else I'll compartmentalise it myself and not plan ahead past 12 weeks.

My last period puts my due date as 2nd November. Glad to have found this thread! 🥰

sierraleona123 · 22/02/2021 10:39

Hey! Can I join too? I got my BFP on Friday at 14DPO. My due date varies from 28th Oct - 1st Nov so I would rather go with the latter!
This is my first child and I am completely new to all things parenting!

Current symptoms: sore breasts, very tired, little bit nauseous

Congrats to everyone!!

I told my husband on Saturday night and it was just the loveliest moment ever! Feels like life is just beginning x

Garman · 22/02/2021 10:47

Congrats to all the new people joining 😊🎉

Rotagilla · 22/02/2021 21:34

@AlackAlasAlackaday it's definitely a lot more nerve wracking, I've pos again today and happy to see they are darker.
I have about 6 in a drawer so I've no doubt il use them up before the week is out 🤣
I have no symptoms and I'm kind of wishing I did...
I'm under a consultant and he's already booked me a scan at 7 weeks so holding my breath until then.

AlackAlasAlackaday · 22/02/2021 21:40

Ah lovely rota, a scan is a brilliant thing to have on the horizon. I’m going to try hold out to 8/9 weeks then book a private one. I dimly remember last time having extra scans because I have hypothyroidism, not so early though.

My previous loss was at 6ish weeks. I think I’ll feel a bit less nervous every day that passes after.

More prosaically - I’m bloated as anything today and look about five months gone already! Anyone else?

OP posts:
Rotagilla · 22/02/2021 22:25

@AlackAlasAlackaday I lost my last pregnancy at 14 weeks so personally for me I don't feel like the scans will give me as much reassurance as they would if I hadn't lost so late.
Because I can't bare the thought of going to the first scan alone we've booked a private scan at 6 weeks...
I really hope I get to a point that I can relax and enjoy it all 💙

Nnovember · 23/02/2021 07:53

Obviously very early days but anyone else not having symptoms? I'm only 12dpo but already quite anxious. From experience my symptoms will kick in in a couple of weeks

Sleepnowprettyplease · 23/02/2021 08:36

Hello, please can I join? I’m due 30 Oct but this is my 4th and at my other three’s dating scan the date was always put back a few days and I always go at least 9days over due so I’m pretty sure baby will be a November baby 😅
Waiting for the nausea and fatigue to kick in, my mission this week is to blitz the house so that it’s easier to maintain when for the next 2 months while I feel rubbish.

Garman · 23/02/2021 08:39

I've no symptoms, which for me is unusual. But my most symptom filled first trimester was my last pregnancy and that ended in mmc at 10 weeks but it had stopped growing at 6 weeks. I was having strong symptoms up until half way through the week the miscarriage took, so this time I'm not concerned about having no symptoms yet because they meant nothing last time.

@Rotagilla I feel like the scans won't give me any reassurance either, not going to bother with an early one.

Rotagilla · 23/02/2021 08:42

@Garman this was the only cycle I didn't have any symptoms....all the rest I was convinced I was pregnant because I had so many!
You are right, you can't trust them 🤣
I was so poorly with my last pregnancy (lost 1.5 stone in 14 weeks) that I'm crossing my fingers for an easier ride this time!

Quolla · 23/02/2021 09:56

I don't have many symptoms but this is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure what's normal... I have mild on and off cramping and that's it! But only just over 4 weeks so a lot of time for them to kick in.

sierraleona123 · 23/02/2021 10:05

Congratulations everyone!

@Quolla this is my first pregnancy too and no idea what's normal either so I'm with you there...

I haven't actually spoken to my GP yet as I'm in the process of switching GP. Does anyone know what week the GP or midwife normally want to see you from? I'm UK...

Rotagilla · 23/02/2021 11:01

Usually they will see you at 8 weeks to book in and take all your details...and also to book your first scan 💙

AlackAlasAlackaday · 23/02/2021 11:43

Congrats sierra! Round my way it's a booking in appt. with a MW around 8 weeks, then a scan at 12. There's also blood and urine tests at some point . But there are all sorts of variations - in some places a GP does the MW referral, in others you self-refer, some have an online system... all sorts. Your new GP practice should be able to tell you.

With DD I had no symptoms - we were travelling around Japan in early pregnancy and I was living on raw sushi and drinking Sake. Whoops. Realised my period was late on the flight home.

Welcome sleep! Wow, fourth!

Hi all can I join the wait too? Got my BFP a couple of days ago at 13DPO 😊 Feeling super nervous despite this being baby no:3!

Nnovember · 25/02/2021 12:14

welcome @Kayeyeem

Baby number 2 for me, I'm officially 14DPO (AF due today). I have no symptoms whatsoever, which iis to be expected, but due to finding out so early it feels as though I've been pregnant for about 4 months already! I hope everyone on the thread is doiing okay

AlackAlasAlackaday · 25/02/2021 14:57

Welcome kaye! Flowers

Hi, we have been trying for our 1st for 7 months and a few days ago got my BFP Smile due 1st November according to the NHS app. I had what I thought was AF a week or so ago, but my BBT kept rising so I took a test just to be sure I wasn't pregnant Grin nice surprise!

ALB1990 · 25/02/2021 17:28

Hi all and congratulations 🥳

Can I join please? I got my BFP today at 9DPO (I think!). I lost twins at around 7 weeks in December from a MMC and had surgical management at the start of Jan. I'm trying to take each day as it comes as I'm scared it'll happen again.

Looking at the NHS calculator I believe I'm due 10th November x

AlackAlasAlackaday · 25/02/2021 17:53

Welcome huff, welcome ALB. Alb, very sorry to hear about your losses, I hope things get easier as the weeks pass Flowers.

Hello please can I join? Tested positive on Tuesday 12 DPO, still waiting for digital test to confirm but got sore boobs and had a crazy vivid dream last night!! First timer so feeling so anxious. Husband doesn't want to get hopes up until he sees the words on a did it so test! X

ALB1990 · 25/02/2021 18:11

Thanks @AlackAlasAlackaday I'm counting little milestones to get me by like getting past AF due date and then once I'm past the 7 week milestone where I had my MMC I'll be able to breath a little x

Fuzzbuzz86 · 25/02/2021 19:43

Hey, can I jump in too? Due 4th November, this will be baby #2, dd is 10 months. I also suffered a mc in November last year at 10 weeks, fingers crossed for this one.

I've been getting mild nausea and bleeding gums, same as last pregnancies.

Congrats on all your BFP's 😀 xx
