22 weeks leakage and cervix funneling

Hello,

After 4 miscarriages last year all at first trimester which included a missed miscarriage, I am now 22 weeks pregnant and desperately hoping to have a healthy first born child.

Yesterday went for a cervical length scan as I worry about everything and wanted to make sure I wasn't at risk of pre term.. And they discovered a shortening cervix at 18mm with funnelling but they could not do emergency stitch because I am also leaking a bit of amnio fluid 😢

Has anyone experienced this before and had a successful outcome?

@Bumblebee902021 I stopped just shy of 36 weeks - normally people stop anywhere from 34-37. I started on 400mg once at night then when I had the funnelling at 28 weeks was put up to 400mg twice a day, and had no side effects the whole time x

@Bumblebee902021 I am so pleased to hear you're doing well! Are you still on (self-imposed) bed rest?

Everything is fine with me. I'm at 21 weeks and my cervical scans have all been normal, keeping fingers crossed things keep going smoothly.

Sending you lots of positive vibes!

Just came looking for this thread to see how you are getting on OP, I'm so glad baby is still hanging on in there!

Also huge congratulations on your baby boy @boymum88 Smile

Bumblebee902021 · 14/04/2021 16:52

@LarsErickssong still on bed rest and at 30w3days 😀 next milestone 32w 🤞 I'm slowly going to try and walk around a bit more etc as feel I need strength etc leading up to delivery as after 8 weeks in bed, it's taken a massive toll but so worth it!

Hi @Bumblebee902021 - hope you're doing well :) how are you getting on? I'm 26 weeks and was just discharged from the cervical clinic as it looks like everything is ok.

Bumblebee902021 · 12/05/2021 13:07

Hello guys!

Glad to hear @WolfMother326! Has it remained stable and long?

I am ditching the stitch in 2 weeks! At the start, never thought I'd say that sentence!!

Thrilled for you that you've come this far. Not long to go now...

WolfMother326 · 13/05/2021 14:44

@Bumblebee902021 it did shorten slightly but they said it was within a normal range - slightly more than the average woman but that I do not need a stitch or bed rest and I shouldn't worry. I feel ok about it, the consultant in charge saw me 4 times and explained everything in great detail. Feeling good!

boymum88 · 14/05/2021 13:10

Omg @Bumblebee902021 you will soon have that baby in ur arms x
