It really was @Blossom428 Yeah, I measured bang on 7+5 so what I thought and estimate due date of 22nd October 😊

mabelelsie · 12/03/2021 07:38

We’re planning on telling our Mums on Mother’s Day, did you all tell some people after early scan?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/03/2021 07:52

@mabelelsie yeah we told our parents and sisters after our early scan at 8 weeks xx

@Blossom428 wallpapers are gorgeous, my favourite is ark2!

We've made a list of all baby stuff we haven't got yet! There's a lot 😂

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 12/03/2021 09:19

Yeah I think ARK2 is my fave too... just want them to arrive and I can see properly haha! @AnxiousAnnie86 don't get me started on a list- I've made a full spreadsheet 😂😂😂 slightly OTT but I like to plan and be organised, and like you say there is so much stuff I want to make sure I'm in order and not repeat buying haha.

@mabelelsie awww that will be the best Mother's Day gift ever! Do they know you have been trying? I told my best friend first jsut after the scan, and then we told family on Christmas Day when we were around 10weeks. Although my mum was annoyed I didn't tel her sooner 🙈🙈

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/03/2021 09:39

@Blossom428 yeah I didn't tell my best friend till nearly 12 weeks. Her father had just passed and it didn't feel right x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 14/03/2021 11:28

@SS123456 soooo exciting! How are you feeling? X

OP posts:
SS123456 · 14/03/2021 12:04

@AnxiousAnnie86 I'm the most nervous I've been for any of the scans as I just feel like this is quite a life changing one for us. Obviously there are no guarantees we would have a neurotypical girl, and vice versa with a boy, but the odds are stacking that way (OHs girl does not have special needs but all the boys grandchildren in his family do) x

SS123456 · 14/03/2021 14:38

It's a girl! 😁❤️🥳

AnxiousAnnie86 · 14/03/2021 14:53

@SS123456 I am genuinely so happy for you lovely xxxxxxxx

Awww @SS123456 how amazing!!! So so happy for you! I really hope this has made your mind at rest now too 💗💗 congrats on your baby girl news on Mother's Day too

Blossom428 · 14/03/2021 18:25

What's everyone doing/ previously done about nursery furniture?
My mind is going into over drive haha.
I thought about buying a normal chest of draws so I could get one with 6 in it and just put a wedge changing mat on the top, but then I've noticed they are lower down than the draws you would get in a furniture set.
Then I've looked at sets and it would go, I'm just wondering if like the wardrobe is dramatically smaller.
Our house is bad for storage so I know baby won't have loads and loads, but we could always use a draw/ for our towels or whatever if needs be.

SS123456 · 14/03/2021 19:12

Thank you ladies, I am so relieved! 😁

@Blossom428 with my DS I bought a normal ikea draw set and put a changing mat on top and it work perfectly

AnxiousAnnie86 · 14/03/2021 19:19

@Blossom428 we have m and s nursery furniture, with a changing table, cot, another tall
Set of drawers and a wardrobe, My SIL gave it to us so we were really lucky as it's solid oak and in perfect condition

AnxiousAnnie86 · 14/03/2021 19:21

SS123456 · 14/03/2021 20:37

@AnxiousAnnie86 the nursery looks beautiful 😁❤️. We have actually named her already as we already had our girls name 🙈. She is Jessie x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 14/03/2021 20:59

@SS123456 ahhh yes I knew that!!! Lovely name!! I wish we could decide :(

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 14/03/2021 21:44

@SS123456 I was looking at the IKEA draw sets, like a 6 draw on... are they high enough for the changing mat on top? Or is yours a tall one?
I just can't decide. So indecisive 🙈🙈
@AnxiousAnnie86 awww it looks so nice!

@SS123456 v cute name 💕

SS123456 · 14/03/2021 21:58

@Blossom428 I actually don't have the draws anymore as my DS is nearly 9 now but it was a good height I thought and I never had any issues. It had 4 big draws and 2 smaller ones which was great for keeping changes of clothes, nappies etc to hand in. Once DS was older it was then a normal set of draws in his bedroom rather than a baby changing unit which was a bit more grown up for him. I think this time around I'm going to get a small standalone changing unit (a cheapish one) and just lose it when the nappy changing stage is over x

SS123456 · 14/03/2021 21:58

@AnxiousAnnie86 thank you! What names are on your short(ish) 😂 list? x
