Hi Ladies, loving that we have e Pugh success stories and chat for part 5!

Thanks @SunnySideUp2020 I am enjoying being his mum which feels like such a relief! I wasn't sure I ever would. Just feel sad to have lost so much of the past year or more to "nothingness". But I'm here now.

We were both an absolute no for another in the beginning, now I feel better I can see that my mind may change...!! Whether DH's will im not sure, but it wouldn't be anytime too soon.

I wouldn't worry too much if that's what your DH is saying now Sunny, I have friends who their DH's started off this way and changed their minds - its still very early days, once he starts having fun with her as she gets older he may well change his mind too

@SunnySideUp2020 still pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️😂. I had my second sweep yesterday and have lost my plug today 🥴 have been getting lots of tightenings but nothing painful yet (plus have been here before with tightenings ramping up and then fizzling out). I'm booked to be induced if she doesn't appear by Monday but midwife felt confident she'd definitely be here by then! Hoping tonight is the night things start happening as I really don't want to be induced 😬🤞

Omgggg exciting!!! Sounds like my experience after the 2 sweeps except the not painful tightenings stopped at 6pm and waters went at midnight and baby born at 6am 🤪

Fingers crossed she is here by the weekend 💕

I am doing good thanks! Amelia had some analysis done and although her cmpa is better now that i am on the cmp free diet, they found she has a bacteria which is causing her diarrhea for over a month now. So we now have been referred to the gastroenterology specialist. Poor baby has literally seen all the specialists. Never ending..
But despite all this she is growing amazing. Very chubby and happy!

@SunnySideUp2020 if that happens for me tonight I'd be very happy 😂 I'm still trying to time my injections to avoid when I'm in labour and so going into labour anytime from now would be ideal! What I don't want is to wake up tomorrow morning with nothing happening as I won't know what to do! I'm bouncing on my ball to try and help things along but the tightenings do seem to have eased off.

Oh bless her it sounds like she's been through the mill! At least it sounds like they're getting to the bottom of things for her and it's good she's happy and doing well despite everything she has going on.

Nothing to report here 😒 still pregnant - nothing at all happened last night. Think I'm resigned to her being evicted on Monday now.

Thinking of you @Fizzl! It will all be worth it and you won't remember the wait in the long run. Rest up!

Sorry to hear you are still having to get Amelia checked out @SunnySideUp2020 that must be so worrying. Its great that she is still a happy little chunk though! Hoping you get some answers soon

Life is very busy as DH was off and we were staycationing and visiting the inlaws..amazing how much time flew once they arrive when there is such a go slow when ur waiting for them to make their entrance!! Thinking of you and best of luck!xx

Ahh @SunnySideUp2020 you were right! Baby Elodie born this morning just before 2am. My waters went on Saturday but no contractions so still had to be induced yesterday. The induction worked a little too well and things ramped up so quick - pessary inserted at 8:30pm. Baby's heart rate went too high because she wasn't getting enough rest between contractions so they wanted her out quick in the end as she was getting a bit distressed. Luckily I'd progressed to 10cm quickly (bloomin knew about it as well!! The contractions were so intense because of the pessary). I couldn't have an epidural though because of her heart rate being so unstable they thought it would make it worse- so did the whole thing on gas and air which was fun 😑. Ended up needing suction cup at the end just to get her out more quickly but it was fine - the doctor seemed to take pity on me not being able to have the epidural so he was very generous with the local anaesthetic and didn't really feel anything thank god! Still very surreal that she is here but we're both doing great!

@Fizzl that's fantastic news!! Congratulations!!! 💞I love the name Elodie too. So happy all went well for you in the end but it must have been so painful without the epidural! Same thing happened to me with the peasary but they gave in after 5 hours and gave me the epidural but then I didn't dilate unlike you so when he got distressed he had to come out the sunroof! The induction is brutal!!! Hope you get home soon now and get to enjoy your little family 😊😊

Ah thanks guys! Sorry I've not responded before it's been a crazy week! Have ended up back at the hospital 3 times - not for anything serious but two occasions were appointments for me because of my blood (and on one occasion we had to stay there from 4:30-2am 😑) and one just routine midwife but we had to go to hospital because too many midwives self isolating. So just when you want to get things worked out at home we've been all over the place. To top it off we've had to have our dog put to sleep today which has been devastating but 100% the right decision she was so poorly. I hadn't seen her for a week and when I did I just knew it was the right time.

So on top of everything I'm trying to preserver with breast feeding. On the whole it's going ok baby seems to feed really well throughout the day. She seems to have a good latch (no sore nippes anyway!), can hear the suck and swallow and she seems quite content after a feed. Have loads of wet and dirty nappies so pretty sure she’s getting what she needs but nighttime’s are already a bit of a nightmare. From now onwards she just wants to be on the boob but she’s not really feeding just suckling and kicks off as soon as she’s taken off 🙄 it carries on until early hours when I normally cave and give her a bit of formula to top her up because I think she’s just sucked me dry 😂 and not getting what she needs anymore. She only takes about 15-20ml of formula but it’s enough to settle her and then she normally sleeps and then I go back to waking her every 2-3hrs. Anyone experienced anything similar?! And what do I do? 😂 I’m happy to keep giving her formula just not sure it’s the solution - I think she's suckling for comfort. I'm going to post in infant feeding too to see if anyone has any words of wisdom.
