Hello ladies!

@ChampooPapi that's amazing news!!!!
I always wanted to work in healthcare so understand what you are saying. It s awesome that you are doing it!

My little lady is ok overall, getting chubby and happy but has skin issues, suspected allergies so on meds, and tomorrow we are admitted to the hospital with her for some tests because she has stridor and chokes often (very scary).
We are hoping it is just for the day but they say it might be a couple of days there if she needs more tests or procedures. Good thing is we are again admitted all 3 of us with my DH in our own room because she is so young.
And we all had covid PCR tests this morning including Amelia 😖

I am doing well otherwise, recovered quickly from birth and she lets us sleep still at night so it's really great and even though she is stuck on me a lot during the day cluster feeding i try to take her for walks and we take her places now that am comfortable breastfeeding anywhere.

Only thing is i don't have time for myself much at all 😅 and most of the time is ok because i love being with my girl but it annoys me to see that for my husband things have barely changed but he says "oh it's hard work" 😑 or always moaning he is tired 😑😑😑😑 lol

Here is a pic of my little punk 🤣

Ohhh just saw your post @scrumdiddly123

She is so cute 😍

Fizzl · 21/05/2021 14:29

Ahh these babies are adorable! Making me all excited to finally be meeting ours soon!

@SunnySideUp2020 look at how much hair she has! That's amazing. I had to have a scan again the other day and the sonographer said she could see hair so I'm wondering if ours will be born with a good head full! Hopefully they get to the bottom of things for you at the hospital. Good to hear you've found your stride with things too. The reality of it all is starting to dawn on me now and thinking about how we're going to adjust to this little baby bombshell that's about to go off in our lives!

@scrumdiddly123 Rosa is beautiful! Those big brown eyes are gorgeous! It's also reassuring to hear you've got into a good routine already and managing to get some sleep.

@ChampooPapi sounds like you're keeping yourself very busy! Good luck with your degree!

I'm starting to get a little more anxious the closer we get knowing she could make her appearance anytime! Her head has been engaged for weeks already now according to midwife and the braxton hicks have been ramping up! Going through my birth plan next week (not that I really have any plan other than to safely get this baby evicted one way or another) and it's all starting to hit home what's happening over the next few weeks!

Annny27 · 07/06/2021 09:09

Hope all you mums, babies and mums to be are doing okay 🥰

SunnySideUp2020 · 07/06/2021 19:43

@Annny27 how are you lovely?
Hope you are ok 😘
Haven't read the ttc thread recently. But have you done your hycosy?

We are doing good over here! Been to the beach a couple of times, picnics, it's really nice to finally be able to enjoy life! 🌞

Baby doing great, apart from cmp allergy problem. We are trying to figure it out with doctors...

Annny27 · 07/06/2021 21:53

Ahh that's does with the allergy! My niece had it as a baby and was always poorly for the first few months bless her! Guess its same for you?

I dont have a hycosy booked but I am on the waiting list for a laproscopy to remove the endometriosis....they say could be 6 months so not sure when :(

Annny27 · 07/06/2021 21:58

That meant to say @sunnysideup2020 that sounds really tough with the allergy*

MilsCookie · 09/06/2021 21:41

Hey @Annny27 I'm so sorry I don't come on MN much anymore... I miss all of you though! Feel like we formed such a bond over the last year... Anny I really hope you don't have to wait that long... are you still ttc in the meantime? xxx

@Fizzl thinking of you lovely as you approach your due date! How are you feeling? How's the house situ? xx

MilsCookie · 09/06/2021 21:42

@SunnySideUp2020 my girls have CMPA ... are you having to cut dairy out of your diet or do they have a special formula? We find it manageable now we know what the issue is! x

SunnySideUp2020 · 10/06/2021 09:42

@Annny27
Ok so they are doing something which is good! Hope it won't be too long for you to wait. 🤞

@MilsCookie they gave me another 2 weeks to let the diet work (so it would be 5 weeks total - very frustrating diet) and if not, we will move onto formula. She said first try with over the counter aptamil for allergy and otherwise will see the gastro and get Neocate prescription.

Her skin is better but her main issue is vomiting/constant reflux and stools (won't go into details!!)
Despite all this she has put on a kilogram each month so that's why we are giving BF with a diet a chance.
What are your girls on? How are they doing now?

Amelia is 8 weeks now 😭 growing so fast

@Fizzl How are you feeling?
Are you goinf for VB or c sec? Can't remember 😬

scrumdiddly123 · 10/06/2021 10:09

Nice to hear from you @Annny27, how are you doing? I was really sad to read of your chemical 🙁
Rosa is almost 10 weeks now and doing well. She sleeps 11-7 which is amazing 🤩 we’ve just started going to baby groups this week so it’s nice to meet up with other mums.
Sorry Amelia is suffering @SunnySideUp2020 I hope you can get on top of the problem soon. Great she’s gaining so well!
@Fizzl how are you doing? How long left now?

Fizzl · 10/06/2021 19:57

Ahh gorgeous babies @scrumdiddly123 and @SunnySideUp2020

Good to hear from you all! I'm doing good - baby still not been evicted yet 😂 two weeks today until due date so hoping she makes her appearance fairly soon. My husband is desperate for her to arrive so he gets to watch most of the euros whilst on paternity/annual leave - wishful thinking I think with a newborn!

I've just started my maternity leave and everything is ready for her arrival now so you know we will still be desperately trying to get her out at 42 weeks! I have started to get a lot of braxton hicks and some mild cramping on and off but don't think that means anything at this stage. I had acupuncture yesterday as well and she said it might help to get things ready so 🤞

@MilsCookie the house is mostly put back together again now. Some decorating left to do downstairs but no workmen and everything is working and as of last week it's not a building site now so that's a relief! Hope you and your girls are still doing well.

@SunnySideUp2020 assuming there's no complications then should be a vb. that's the plan anyway. Did my birth plan recently and it's a very vague plan of let's just see how we go! There was some mention of me being induced before 40 weeks because of my blood but they've changed their minds on that one for now so hoping things start naturally.

@Annny27 hope you're doing ok 💐 I know June is a difficult month - thinking of you!

SunnySideUp2020 · 10/06/2021 20:06

@Fizzl

Ohh exciting!!

Honestly i remember how desperate i was for her to arrive from 38 weeks. Like almost an obsession! But due date passed and i was starting to really feel impatient but in a not so good way. Pushing for the sweeps... being worried about movements etc...

Looking back i wish i had been more relaxed about it. Midwife kept saying to let the body do its thing and baby will come when baby is ready and it was so irritating but she was so right!

I almost felt guilty i rushed her after she was born the day before planned induction at 41w2!!!

Annnd i wish i had really fully enjoyed our last days as two with my husband. The dynamics really change with the newborn and it is so hard to find time and/or energy to be together and do things...

So my advice is really try to relax and not wish these last days away AND take some time do be close and do things with your DH outside of baby planning 😉 (oh and obviously sleep and just enjoy being horizontal and doing nothing!)

Leok83 · 15/06/2021 08:51

@Fizzl how are you getting on? You must be so close to d day now!! How exciting! Your husband will get a rude awakening if he thinks he'll get to watch all the euros 😂 we watched one of the 6 nations rugby matches in those early days and it took us 6 hours! I'm sure the players were home in bed by the time we got to the end😂

Love all the pics ladies! @scrumdiddly123 I can't believe she is sleeping that much!

It's been ages since I checked in here, been so busy and time is absolutely flying 😩 I'm already looking at organising childcare for going back to work.

@Annny27 how are you getting on? I see from the TTC thread you some blood test coming up for progesterone? Hope you are doing ok!xx

Whiffle77 · 15/06/2021 21:45

Hope you are OK @Fizzl!! Thinking of you. It seems to have come around so fast, this year has flown by! Glad to hear your house is a bit more in order, we had building work which finished a few days before I gave birth so I feel your pain!! Decorating waited a few months after that...!!

Hi @Annny27 I hope you are doing OK, its good to hear you are on the waiting list, but j hope it doesn't take that long.

Gorgeous piccies of babies @scrumdiddly123 and @SunnySideUp2020 great to see them! I dont get on here much any more, and have come off Facebook but I am on insta. Already follow a few of the girls from the group and its lovely to see their babies grow!

Great to hear what you are up to @ChampooPapi, good for you! I deffo want a career change but I have no idea what to, so it will be a long while off yet

Hope everyone is doing well xxx

BS9790 · 16/06/2021 15:13

Hi ladies!
Sorry I've been awol, I just haven't had the time.
I've just been catching up on LOADS of messages on this thread & the previous. Lots of baby news! Congratulations to all the new mummies xx

Isaac is 7.5 months now, the first five or so were hard. Cmpa, acid reflux. Had a terrible reaction to some reflux meds which made him really unwell for weeks. Then he was having some spasms/seizures so we had to be sent for an EEG to rule out infantile spasms which luckily was clear. Not sure if they were caused by the bad reaction to the meds, not sure we ever will, but thankfully they seem to have subsided now.
He has a constant rash... Impossible to be seen by anyone... So not sure if he's reacting to other foods, environmental or maybe its just a permanent unexplained rash. I can't work out what flares it up, as doesn't seem to be a pattern so we are kind of just ignoring it now 🙈

Anyway things are more settled now and he's finally a happy little boy. He laughs all day, loves his grub, hates his milk and has FINALLY started to sleep...!

Sending you all lots of love... Please share baby spam on the Facebook group!! Xx

Fizzl · 18/06/2021 08:55

@SunnySideUp2020 thank you! Definitely getting the sleep in. I'm still feeling quite chilled about it - it would be better if she did arrive soon because my husband put some annual leave in months ago (like a wally) from this weekend assuming that she would arrive on time so he would then get a month off with us with his paternity leave on top. After he put it in they changed June/July to a holiday ban so he can't move the dates (like I suggested 🤦🏼‍♀️). If she's late he'll just get his two weeks paternity which is fine but would be nice to have him at home for a month. Plus he still has his ulterior motive of wanting to watch the euros! But otherwise I'm still kind of in the mindset that she'll arrive when she's ready - plus I'm not overly keen on labour starting but know she's got to come out somehow 😂.

@Leok83 I'm doing good! I'm 39+1 now so just waiting. I had acupuncture last week and I thought things were happening at the weekend - started to get a lot of cramps, especially during the night which were waking me up but it's all fizzled out to nothing again now. So I think my body thought about it, but changed its mind! How are you getting on? When are you back at work?

@Whiffle77 haha glad I'm not alone! The decorating is definitely on hold for now. Our aim is to get it done before Christmas 😂 we'll see...

@BS9790 good to hear from you! I can't believe Isaac is over 7months already! It's crazy how quick time has flown by.

SunnySideUp2020 · 18/06/2021 13:23

@Fizzl

Exciting!!! Keep us updated :)
Don't worry about labour... remember that whatever pain you will feel will be temporary and your baby girl is coming into this world 🌈

I'd give birth again any day tbh! Such a magical moment. ✨ so excited for you!!!!

Whiffle77 · 21/06/2021 12:57

How are you getting on @Fizzl? Smile

Fizzl · 21/06/2021 15:27

@Whiffle77 baby still not vacated yet 😂 but I'm doing fine - thought I'd feel fed up and uncomfortable by now but actually still doing ok! Trying to keep busy. Giving the good old floor scrubbing theory a try today to give me something to do and maybe kick start things 🤞.

Still not sure it's sunk in that a baby will be arriving any day now 😬 and as much as I want to get things started I still can't imagine that there's going to be a baby anytime now! Very strange.

How are you?

scrumdiddly123 · 22/06/2021 19:27

Good luck for the coming days @Fizzl! So exciting, same as @SunnySideUp2020 I’d do it all again tomorrow 🤩 i gutted Rosa is my last baby 😭x

Whiffle77 · 23/06/2021 08:34

Ahhh bless you, the last few weeks do seem to drag!! You'll be sick of hearing it but enjoy the peace and quiet! Glad you are feeling well. I dont think it's entirely sunk in to me 7 months on that I have a baby so don't worry about that at all haha! It's a very surreal experience but it will be so great! I'm sure the house is spic and span by now!!

I'm ok thank you, little one is in a lovely stage at the min - very happy and fun to be with. We are really enjoying weaning too. I'm also a lot better, I've been on sertraline for awhile now and the therapy and cbt has also helped loads. I feel an awful lot more human again!

Awww @scrumdiddly123 that's sweet xxx

SunnySideUp2020 · 23/06/2021 08:48

Good to hear you are better @Whiffle77
Sounds like your are doing all the right things and can fully enjoy being a mum finally 💓

Good luck for the coming days @Fizzl
🌈 will be thinking of you!

SunnySideUp2020 · 23/06/2021 08:49

@scrumdiddly123
DH makes it sounds like Amelia is our first and last too 😐
I hope it will pass and when she gets a bit older he will also want another one!!
