@PurpleCurtain ♥️ It’s just one of them things - but awful when you end up upset! Put it down to hormones. To be fair you get excited for the scan pics but they all pretty much look the same anyway - hope you feel better soon!

hello. i am ok to join, i am 20 weeks and 4 days, due July 6. will be finding out the sex next week friday.

@PurpleCurtain glad the scan went well, re. photos maybe your husband said no as he thought the 12 week photo was enough? Might be worth chatting to him about it rather than letting it fester maybe?

There's always the option of a private scan in a few weeks time - I know lots of people get those 3d/4d scans between weeks 20-30, could that be an option?

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE glad to know we will be the first week of July mums.

do you know the sex of the baby already? i am nervous. hoping for a baby girl. but either way il still be happy if its a boy

20 week scan booked in next week on Tuesday so hoping that will just solidify that it's definitely a Willy! Lol

Anyone work in Early Years out of interest? Intrigued to see what people are planning to do about gov guidance and shielding?

I dont but has there been a guidance change? I thought only pregnant women with a heart condition needed to shield, and that pregnant women werent included in the new additions to the shielding list?

I get a lot of stomach aches (always have since a kid) and lying on my back helps but lately Im thinking I should probably avoid it. I keep rolling on my back at night too so wondering if I should get a maternity pillow yet. Thoughts on this?

My understanding is that you don't "need" to until first trimester but a lot of places seem to advise it from 20 weeks. A few of us have previously commented that side sleeping isnt natural for us so would definitely recommend a pillow and trying it out now so that you are mostly there by 20 weeks and definitely there by third trimester! That's my aim anyway. Personally I bought the Kally Sleep body pilllow. It's okay but it's ginormous and I'm not certain it does much more to keep me in place than just putting an extra regular pillow between my legs.

That should obviously say third trimester in line one above sorry!

@Devonfirsttimemum93 to using the pregnancy pillow in treatment and said I should avoid sleeping on my back as it's too long but resting on it is fine. Midwife agreed when I got checked today.

Chiropractor and midwife have both said now I'm almost 20 weeks start getting used to resting on back but not sleeping on back.

Grrr sorry all having lots of problems with the site not loading my text. I'm trying to say thanks for your support and midwife said baby is fine after my fall from the dog. Heart beating away nice and strong.

@Flittingaboutagain glad all is ok! Bet you felt much better after seeing the midwife.

@Kowhai13 My midwife said not to worry about sleeping on back until 28 weeks but I have been sleeping on my side since about 12 weeks.

Wow look at that lovely list!!!
I had a scan yesterday as I was getting paranoid that I still have no movement. As a few on you have said on here I'm also in the anterior placenta club! Oh and also it's a boy! Xx

@CoffeeAndCaramel I didn’t realise anterior placentas were so common - I think I might have one as I’m still feeling nothing and I’m 19 weeks and a few days although it is my first so don't know if that makes a difference.
