@PeanutButterFalcon I’m thinking the just black or the navy - the shop I emailed said they had both colours in stock at the moment but I do want to get stuff ordered for peace of mind! Hopefully will go next week midweek to order! What colour did you get?

Has anyone started antenatal classes yet? Mine first one is tomorrow I’m actually really excited for it! Xx

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 15/04/2021 06:58

Anyone else suffering leg cramps at night? My legs are so sore this morning Sad

PeanutButterFalcon · 15/04/2021 09:19

@TiredAlreadyOhDear the grey. I liked the navy, olive and paprika too. The blacks nice but I always worry it’ll get really hot in the summer. Hope you like it too. As soon as I saw them all the egg stood out and it was easy to fold and lift.

Are you classes run by your midwife? I don’t think they’re doing them here.

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 15/04/2021 09:34

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I am a little with the legs - and randomly sore knees don’t know if that’s related or not!!

@PeanutButterFalcon yeah I love the look of the egg and meant to be good off-road too, we have a dog so off road walks are going to happen. I didn’t think of the heat actually - might have to rethink the black.

The classes are on zoom so not in person but better than missing out completely I guess.

Luckyelephant1 · 15/04/2021 10:45

Not massive leg cramps but they do sometimes feel like I've been curled up without moving for a while even if I have been relatively active. I've been doing some prenatal yoga which seems to help with this plus those niggly hip and back pains (before pregnancy I HATED yoga and just couldn't get on with it).

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 15/04/2021 11:06

@Luckyelephant1 I’ve started doing some yoga and I find it helps as well- going to go swimming next week as well now England restrictions have lifted - hoping it will be easier on the joints!

FirstTimeMummy2021 · 17/04/2021 19:18

First day of excitement today as we've ordered our pushchair! Was nice to be able to do this in person, but I already cannot wait for it to arrive.
I've also started looking ahead for baby groups i want to try and go to. Does anyone know what age they recommend swimming is ok from?

PurpleCurtain · 17/04/2021 20:07

@FirstTimeMummy2021 what have you gone for? We went to have our first look today and feel quite overwhelmed! I think we're edging towards a Bugaboo Fox 2.

Foxglovesandlilacs · 17/04/2021 20:18

@FirstTimeMummy2021 I took mine to water babies lessons from about three months but you can take them from birth. They were relatively expensive but I really enjoyed them and my kids are all very confident in the water and I think that’s because they’ve done it from a young age.

FirstTimeMummy2021 · 17/04/2021 20:20

@purplecurtain We went for the Oyster3 in the end. I was shocked at the prices of some of them in the shop and we decided the oyster met all our needs. I'm also looking at getting a decent baby carrier but have no clue where to start with them either!!

FirstTimeMummy2021 · 17/04/2021 20:22

Did you think it was worth the price @foxglovesandlilacs? Its really important to me that our child grows up confident in water, hence why I want to start them early. I just wasn't sure if places like water babies are worth it?

PeanutButterFalcon · 17/04/2021 20:28

@FirstTimeMummy2021 we went to John Lewis and looked at baby carriers. They have babies you can wear in the them too which was good although we couldn’t agree on the one we liked, typically

What's everyone's thoughts on the icklebuba stomp v3 travel system?

Foxglovesandlilacs · 19/04/2021 12:23

@FirstTimeMummy2021 yes I think so, I’ve not tried anything else so wouldn’t know if the regular baby classes they do at the local leisure centre are better but I really enjoyed it with mine and they’re all confident swimmers as a result.

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 19/04/2021 13:41

@LadySB89 I’ve not checked out any prams yet so can’t comment although one of my friends has had one and loved it! Hoping to go this weekend and start looking!!

PeanutButterFalcon · 19/04/2021 17:50

@LadySB89 someone I know had one and it melted in the boot of the car so don’t leave it in the sunlight/heat. Apart from that I think they really liked it up until then

The pram melted Shock

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 19/04/2021 19:52

@PeanutButterFalcon that is crazy! Imagine that I’d be fuming! Been out to the shops tonight - looking at a few baby bits - but clothes shopping just isn’t as fun when you don’t know the sex of the baby! Sooo many cute things though! Can’t believe I’m almost 28 weeks now - nearly in my third trimester....doesn’t feel real! X

PeanutButterFalcon · 19/04/2021 20:27

@TiredAlreadyOhDear and @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I know! I was talking about it when I went pram shopping. Apparently it’s happened to other makes too as they didn’t feel the need to check it would be ok in hotter temperatures because we don’t often experience them.

I’ve completely gone off plain baby grows now too but there is never anything neutral

OP posts:
TiredAlreadyOhDear · 20/04/2021 08:29

@PeanutButterFalcon yeah I’m the same - I’m sick of white stuff 😂 I’m just keeping my eye out for more colourful neutrals but also trying not to buy too many clothes as I know when he/she is here I’ll want to go out and get some outfits and things.

Something to add to my list to ask about - will this pram melt 😂

Mummy2O · 20/04/2021 08:55

A melting pram!! That is pretty awful, particularly how much they cost!

Has anyone started looking at nursery furniture yet? I am after something white but keep finding the ones I like out of stock. Confused

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 20/04/2021 10:46

@Mummy2O we already have white fitted wardrobes in the baby’s room - so just going to get a white cot bed - and then a white chest of drawers from IKEA rather than get the Nursey furniture set - as they all seem so small....so all we need is a singular white cot bed - prices vary so much though!! It’s hard to know which is decent!

Warrickdaviesasplates · 20/04/2021 13:16

@Mummy2O I'm lucky that all our baby stuff from DS is still very useable (he's only one) so will just reuse all his furniture.

I'm going to go to Ikea this weekend and get a white chest of drawers for our room so I can start unpacking the baby clothes I got out of the loft last week. We need to do a big room swap around so the baby and DS can share but I don't plan to do that before Christmas time as the baby will be in our room anyway.

For those looking for nice neutral baby clothes I did see some lovely bits in Next and M&S yesterday. Some lovely green baby grows in Next and some very cute outfits in M&S in brighter colours.

I'm also going looking at prams this weekend, didn't even consider asking about the melting point of them! Really want to keep the cost under £500 for the pram but need a double and so many seem really expensive.

PeanutButterFalcon · 20/04/2021 17:34

@Mummy2O we ordered a cot bed a while ago. I’m hoping it will look similar to online. Furniture wise we are just going to use what we already have from the spare room.

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 24/04/2021 17:37

Just ordered out cotbed today - Nursey gets decorated Monday and Tuesday and then carpet down at the end of the week! Things are starting to feel real! How’s everyone doing?
