www.tommeetippee.com/en-gb/product/the-original-grobag-earth-green-easy-swaddle-0-3-months-uk

These swaddle gro bags are 5-12lb

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 20/03/2021 17:05

Gro bag also seem to do a 0-4 month range which has grobags and the min weight is 7lb

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 21/03/2021 07:55

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE
Thanks so much I’m going to take a look through them links now! I think I had a bit of a panic yesterday...and started thinking I have no idea what I’ve let myself in for!
I don’t have a mum to ask for advice and also lost my grandma a couple of years back, who was like my mum so feel like I don’t have many people to ask advice from who have hands on experience and all the internet advice can be a bit much!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 21/03/2021 09:40

Your welcome @TiredAlreadyOhDear, perfectly natural to have a bit of a panic! My own panic with this pregnancy has been how on earth will i get them all out of the door for school on time Grin They will be 8, 4 and 22m when baby arrives! This is why i'm not 'having a go' at managing without a double pram. Just no. I need it!
I didn't have much female relative support when i had dc1, i was also pregnant at 19 and determind to show i DID NOT need help. Places like Mumsnet are a great resource! You need to remember though a lot of these things are personal preference and what works for one person might not work for the next, e.g. everyone on MN raves about muslins, i haven't ever used one! I just use a bib lol. You will find your own way, what works for you and your baby!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 21/03/2021 09:41

Oh and i havent forgotten my eldest two dc but at 12 and 13 they can get theirselves out of the house for school Grin

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 21/03/2021 09:55

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I don’t blame you at all id be 1000% getting the double pram.
Yeah I think because there’s sooo much advice it gets a bit much, I’m sure I’ll figure it out as I go I think sometimes you worry more before it actually happens - once the baby is here I won’t have time to stress about stuff I’ll just get on with it.

I don’t know why I panic so much any way - it’s not like if I haven’t got something that me or my partner can’t nip out and get it.

Would you like anymore babies after this one? Or do you think it will be your last baby? X

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 21/03/2021 10:07

This is definitley the last, looking at getting my tubes done while pregnancy is fresh in my mind!

PeanutButterFalcon · 22/03/2021 12:32

Just a little moan from me, need to offload so sorry in advance.
Been feeling absolutely terrible lately: tired, aches, out of breath and generally unwell. People are now commenting that I look ill. First baby so thought it was normal pregnancy until then.
GP has done bloods and my iron has come back low but not low enough for treatment even though I feel terrible. Hopefully I can get it back up with my diet.

Pregnancy is no walk in the park @PeanutButterFalcon Flowers

Personally i have never BLOOMED as they say! At the moment i have good days with more energy and days where everything hurts and i just want my bed!

How many weeks are you? I'm 25 and with you on the getting out of breath. I feel so unfit after i push our 18 month old up a hill in the pram! Like i need to sit down!

Yesterday i had a busy day. Today i'm resting. I'm full of a cold too which is not helping as i am not sleeping properly because i cannot breath through my bloody nose!

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 22/03/2021 12:50

Aw @PeanutButterFalcon that’s rubbish! I’m surprised they can’t do something for you - even if it’s not low enough if your feeling so rubbish it’s not fair to carry on like that.

I have tired days but not all the time.

I’m 1000% not blooming either though 🙈 I’m just spotty and starting to feel uncomfortable.

Are you working? Or can you have a few days just resting?

PeanutButterFalcon · 22/03/2021 13:07

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE it’s definitely not as easy as I expected. Walking up a hill would be the death of me I think. I don’t know how you’ve managed that! Walking around the house is enough to make me feel awful.

@TiredAlreadyOhDear It’s frustrating. I wish they hadn’t told me how close I am to the cut off point. I’m with you on being spotty. They’re everywhere. I think if someone said I was blooming I’d cry, I couldn’t feel further from it at the moment. I did feel good at about 20 weeks and then I’ve crashed. Yea still working. Looking forward to some time off

OP posts:
TiredAlreadyOhDear · 22/03/2021 13:28

@PeanutButterFalcon :( hopefully you’ll start to feel a bit better soon! I’m still taking the pregncare vits which have iron in them - are you taking anything like that? Might help boost the iron! Yeah it’s a bit cruel them saying your so close to the cut off be better not to know if they’re not going to do anything.

How far along are you?

PeanutButterFalcon · 22/03/2021 13:49

@TiredAlreadyOhDear I’ve just been looking online to see if I can find some over the counter supplements with a high amount of iron. I’m 24 weeks. We’re so close to the second trimester now, I think once we hit 28 weeks it’s going to fly by

OP posts:
TiredAlreadyOhDear · 22/03/2021 13:52

@PeanutButterFalcon I’m 24 weeks on weds so we’re about the same.
I know I feel like time is flying already to be honest - I keep saying to my fiancé times is going too quickly - I thought it would drag!

Luckyelephant1 · 22/03/2021 15:26

@PeanutButterFalcon that sucks, I know first hand how rough iron deficiency can make you feel and that's even without a pregnancy on top! There's lots of OTC iron supplements available though, I've heard good things about Spatone.

I dont feel like I'm blooming either, I'm also 24 weeks. I'm not spotty but my skin is sooooo dry and dull and my face looks really bloated even though I haven't actually put on that much weight yet. I basically feel like I look as if I've been on a 7 day bender, had a kebab every night and slept in my makeup every night 😂😭. My hair is also really dry and rough at the moment. I'm hoping things improve as the weather gets warmer

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 22/03/2021 15:55

Maybe July babies don’t make their poor mums bloom! 😂🤣

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 22/03/2021 16:03

I take your dry skin and spots and i raise you ... i have melasma aka pregnancy mask

Peaplant20 · 22/03/2021 16:40

Dry skin over here too! Since about week 8/10! Hoping the sunshine and warmer weather will help. Also aveeno moisturiser has been a miracle worker on my poor hands that were so chapped they were bleeding. Practically fixed overnight with aveeno!

FirstTimeMummy2021 · 22/03/2021 17:35

My skin was amazing in the first trimester, but also now have super dry skin! I was hoping it was just a stage but its not getting better yet!

PeanutButterFalcon · 22/03/2021 20:08

@TiredAlreadyOhDear I feel like I’ve been pregnant forever but also it’s gone really quickly!

@Luckyelephant1 thank you. I’ll look into them. I’ll try anything!

I’ve been looking forward to the glow, lovely hair and amazing skin. It seems to have skipped July. Maybe all the August mums are looking incredible.

OP posts:
TiredAlreadyOhDear · 22/03/2021 20:45

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE have you had that in all your pregnancy’s or is this the first time?

@PeanutButterFalcon I know what you mean it’s a weird feeling isn’t it- like I can’t remember what I looked like before being pregnant but also feel like time is flying!

I’m looking forward to things opening up in April going to try and do some swimming once a week at least hoping that will be easy on the joints ands things but also still give me some exercise....I’ve even ordered a maternity swimming costume ready for it! :)

Mummy2O · 22/03/2021 21:19

I have horrendous dry skin on my hands and spots all in my t-zone. No blooming going on here!

My hair does feel thicker though, which is nice.

How is every one getting on with names? We are really struggling to find one we both love. Confused

Warrickdaviesasplates · 22/03/2021 21:34

@Mummy2O I always feel like naming a baby is so easy, until you have to compromise with someone else.

I have quite a long list of names but DH and I are really favouring different ones.

For boys DH likes Atticus, which I quite like but don't love. My favourites are Ragnar and Heath.

For girls I love Anya, Petra or Wednesday. Dh likes but doesn't love Anya and is suggesting Paige or Faye (don't like Paige, don't mind Faye)

Which names are other people thinking of? (Happy to hear any opinions on mine as well)

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 23/03/2021 07:34

@TiredAlreadyOhDear, this is the third time! Its annoying me atm as only on one side of my face

Dp is set on a name. I don't like it. I'm trying to, but i don't.

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 23/03/2021 07:44

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I bet you notice it more than it’s actually noticeable. What name does he like?

@Warrickdaviesasplates names are soooo hard....I had loads of ideas before I was pregnant and I’ve either forgotten them or gone off them! We have a couple we half agree on Elizabeth or Emma for a girl and we both like Jesse for a boy - but these aren’t set in stone we’re still very much discussing - I do like them but I thought I’d love the name we choose - I also like phoebe for a girl too.

I love loads of boys names but he’s not a fan of them hahaha Jude, Jonah, Gabe all been banned hahaha
