@notalwaysalondoner same I thought after the 20 week scan confirmed all is OK I'd be straight back home and doing an online shopping spree but something is holding me back, I just need to take that first step! I did just book NCT classes though so that's a start.

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 26/02/2021 15:41

I started buying some bits - just because I like to be organised. Not knowing the sex helps with not buying as many clothes and things tho. I won’t buy the pram or cot and stuff until a bit closer though maybe in April time! Xx

pinkgin8 · 26/02/2021 16:44

Just read my pregnancy notes from my scan today and it says his position is breech? Is that normal? And will he probably move as the weeks go along? They didn't mention it as a concern or an issue 🤷🏻‍♀️

PeanutButterFalcon · 26/02/2021 18:42

@Luckyelephant1 I’m hoping that once we can go into shops I won’t be able to resist. I think with it being online it just doesn’t feel the same and I keep putting it off.

@TiredAlreadyOhDear my in laws are buying us a cot so it’ll just appear closer to the end (hopefully built too). My DM keeps telling me how long it takes for things to be delivered and I should start now.

@pinkgin8 I don’t think it matters yet. I was worried as mine is already head down and looked online. It said babies move around and change position frequently (just not in the scan, when you need them to, it appears)

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 26/02/2021 21:42

I agree position will change MANY times

At my scan baby was transverse which does concern me a little as i know there is a risk when you have had a few pregnancies of baby using the uterus like a hammock and settling in transverse.
Hopefully he will have moved by 28 weeks by the time i see the mw and i will be reassured

FemaleLady · 27/02/2021 15:02

@LouLikesLollies i had my scan yesterday, got to see her,,, she was moving but still had not felt the movement till today, this time i could feel the kicks when i touch my tummy, was soooo excited. was the first time i could feel them. I also found out We having a baby girl. I got sooo much relief from the scan.

Good luck on your scan on Monday, sending you hugs and kisses

PeanutButterFalcon · 27/02/2021 17:21

TMI warning - I’ve just been to the toilet and when I’ve wiped had a really gooey lot of discharge, please tell me this is normal? It almost looks like my EWCM but a different colour

OP posts:
ElderMillennial · 27/02/2021 18:34

@PeanutButterFalcon I've had a lot of discharge for a few weeks sometimes watery and sometimes it is a bit thicker...

PeanutButterFalcon · 27/02/2021 18:40

@ElderMillennial me too! this was very different from usual. Hopefully it’s nothing, I honestly over worry lately. I need a text book of things that are normal when you’re pregnant.

OP posts:
ElderMillennial · 27/02/2021 18:45

@PeanutButterFalcon I think they say if it doesn't smell weird and isn't a strange colour then it's probably okay. I was Googling allsorts too as I worried when it was quite watery too but it seems to vary and quite a few people reported on the Facebook page having a lot of discharge. I remember getting it much later it my first pregnancy.

Luckyelephant1 · 27/02/2021 19:21

I randomly have days of excess gooey discharge too, as @ElderMillennial said I think as long as no strong smell or weird colour it's OK.

Yesterday and more so today I've been feeling really achy and heavy in my pelvic and abdominal area. It feels like a combination of a stitch, someone pressing down on my abdomen with a really full bladder, and post workout soreness as if I've been doing lots of crunches (I haven't). I wouldn't say its 'severe' but it's not really mild either and it's hard to get up once I sit down. Is this the start of PGP or similar? I did do a dumbell workout for the first time in ages a couple of days ago so my legs ache too but there wasn't any core work involved. Obv if it gets worse I will contact midwife but just wondering if this is normal. Its hard to find online what PGP feels like as it's a very umbrella term.

ElderMillennial · 27/02/2021 20:06

@Luckyelephant1 It could be PGP especially if you notice it more when you are waking around or moving around eg turning over in bed.

PeanutButterFalcon · 27/02/2021 20:27

Thank you. I will have to give it a good sniff!

I have been feeling the exact same @Luckyelephant1. I thought it was my belly growing.

Random question and I know some people like to keep it to themselves but does anyone have any names for their baby’s yet if they know the gender? I think I have a boys but struggling for a girls name....I didn’t think it would be so difficult 😂

isadorapolly · 27/02/2021 20:46

Hi everyone, I’m due 22nd July. This is my 8th baby Blush and definitely my last!

I have my scan on the 11th, I will be 21 weeks.

I have always found out the sex at private scans at 16 weeks but this time I thought I’d have a suprise as it’s the last. Only thing is at the 12 week scan I could really tell it’s a boy! I’ve seen so many nubs now I’ve become a bit of a pro! I also posted it on a nub theory fb group and everyone said boy, so now I feel like I might as well find out!

Hope everyone’s well having a nice pregnancy 🤰🏻

Luckyelephant1 · 27/02/2021 21:08

@ElderMillennial @PeanutButterFalcon thanks that's reassuring. I guess my fear especially with the bladder feeling is that it's a UTI as I know they can present quite differently in pregnancy, and I do have a history of them. Might drop off a sample on Monday just to be on the safe side 😬

@TiredAlreadyOhDear we have a shortlist of 3 names but always on the lookout for more inspiration. The frontrunner out of the 3 keeps changing every couple of weeks at the moment!

Warrickdaviesasplates · 27/02/2021 21:19

@TiredAlreadyOhDear I have a massive list of names but I'm struggling to stick with a boys, pretty sure on a girls though. What kind of names do you like?

@isadorapolly 8th baby?! Wow you must a bit of a pregnancy pro by now, I'm not surprised you'd be able to tell from a scan. How many do you have of each?

How accurate is nub theory? I think mine indicates a girl but I'm leaving it as a surprise, so won't know for ages.

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 27/02/2021 21:57

@Warrickdaviesasplates I’m the opposite I think we have a boys name sorted but can’t decide on a girls.

I like classic names I love Elizabeth but then don’t really like Liz or Lizzy as a short name - I prefer Libby or Beth but you can’t really choose a kids nickname once they start school! I think I’m over thinking it a bit maybe haha!

Mummy2O · 28/02/2021 08:34

Is anyone else feeling absolutely massive? Shock

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 28/02/2021 08:59

@Mummy2O erm I don’t feel massive but starting with a little bump now! I have friend who is two weeks behind me though and she has a big bump already! It’s so strange how everyone is so different!

Warrickdaviesasplates · 28/02/2021 09:17

@TiredAlreadyOhDear I suppose you can't really choose nicknames for your child as they will be given them by friends at school or siblings. But if you call her Elizabeth and address her as Libby she will probably carry it on.

Although I've got an Ella who gets called "Ro-Ro" and an Axl who is now "Axey Bear" so you never know what nicknames might arise in the future.

@Mummy2O I didn't feel big for ages, just a bit fat. But I got a nice maternity jumpsuit the other day and noticed how I had a very definite bump rather than a fat belly and now I feel very big and pregnant.

FemaleLady · 28/02/2021 09:51

my belly is massive,, i feel massive too.. and i get tired easily and the cramps during the night oh lord those are a horror..

Guys please help me with baby girl names. i literally have nothing

BananaCustard85 · 28/02/2021 10:21

@femaleLady if you have other kids, what are they called? 🙂Just to give an idea of the kinds of name you like.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 28/02/2021 10:23

I need boy names .... we like actual names, nothing too out there but also not popular, preferably outside top 50 Grin

FemaleLady · 28/02/2021 10:23

@BananaCustard85 i have no other kids. This will be my first . Smile
