I don't dare say it out loud yet or celebrate or get excited or anything but I'm 4 weeks pregnant today.

Anyone else out there just had a positive test result and want to keep me company?

@TonightMatthew exciting, not long til your scan 😊 hope this week goes quickly!

Iv had the occasional sharp pain this afternoon and it's worrying me 😖 everything else is the same though. Googled it and says you can get light cramps, sharp twinges in early pregnancy but it's rocked me a bit!

sneakpeek1414 · 21/02/2021 18:04

@1boo1 I have had a few sharp twinges too! I think it's normal 🤞🏽

1boo1 · 21/02/2021 18:20

@sneakpeek1414 have you! That's made me feel a lot better. I had one this morning and thought nothing of it.. But had quite a few this afternoon.. Not constant but every now and again and seems to be when I'm stood up not sat 🤷🏼‍♀️ really hope it's all okay x

sneakpeek1414 · 21/02/2021 18:24

@1boo1 from my extensive google research (ha!) I think it's just everything stretching and the bean bedding in properly! Fingers crossed we will be OK!

1boo1 · 21/02/2021 18:27

@sneakpeek1414 haha exactly the same, straight to dr Google but seemed to come up straight away! Just read back and you're 5 weeks today too aren't you 🙂 we have the same dates.

When did your sharp twinges start? Today?

sneakpeek1414 · 21/02/2021 18:47

@1boo1 yes I'm 5 weeks today too 😊

So about Thursday last week I got like 5 sharp pains one after the other in work, I was like woahhhh 😳 then nothing until yesterday when I got a sharp pain when I stood up! Then today I feel like every time I stand up I get the pain low down on the right side, it literally feels like a little stab and then it's gone 😣

Folly1234 · 21/02/2021 18:52

@1boo1 hey lovely, I've got a pregnancy book by the Mayo Clinic and it has a really great symptom checker section. I looked up pains and cramps and it says they are normal as it's the stretching inside preparing your body and particularly can happen when changing position. Like moving from sitting to standing for example which sounds like what you described.
I just wanted to reassure you 😊 x

1boo1 · 21/02/2021 18:55

@sneakpeek1414 definitely makes me feel more at ease at that sounds exactly the same. And always when stood up, when I had a few close together this afternoon I told DH I was worried and then went for a lie down for a bit (sound so dramatic! I was just worried lol)

Will you be or have you booked an early scan? Going to book for either 6+3 or 6+6. Also don't know when to do my last CB to see if it says 3+... just want to see something or see at least progress of some sort 🤭

1boo1 · 21/02/2021 18:57

@Folly1234 thank you for your message, really reassuring 🙂 my dad by day and week by week book didn't mention it that I remember but did say mind cramps and tugging sort of feeling so this was a bit unnerving. I'll have a look out for that book! X

MTB2410 · 21/02/2021 19:03

Very reassuring to read some of you having similar symptoms to me! 5 weeks today and have had some mild cramping/ twinges over the past couple of days- usually in evening after sitting down for a while.
1st pregnancy and feeling very anxious about everything - spending far too much time with doctor Google checking symptoms that probably aren't even there!
No sickness yet, just sore boobs.
Good to have people to talk to as have only told DH so far.

sneakpeek1414 · 21/02/2021 19:03

@1boo1 I really do think it's just the stretching and bedding in, bloody hope so anyway 😣

I got a 3+ on the Clearblue this morn, got a 2-3 on Tuesday so that's made me feel a bit better!

My early scan I have booked for 13th March when we will be 7+6 I think! I spoke to the place and they said they like to do after 7 weeks as can see more and then Google said the chance of anything bad happening after 7 weeks and seeing heartbeat drops so 🤷🏼‍♀️

1boo1 · 21/02/2021 19:23

@MTB2410 think we're all guilty of listening to dr google too much 🤭 nice to have so many on the thread with such close dates to chat about it with as must be hard for our partners as they don't know what the feelings are!

@sneakpeek1414 oooo I'm doing the CB in the morning then and then will sulk all day if it doesn't say it yet! If not I'll do another a few days after which means another amazon order!

Yes you should get a nice nosey at 7+6! When I asked 2 local clinics they said 6 weeks will be fine to see what they need to as long as I'm sure of dates which I am (Tracked it all) and I asked if much difference in a week and they said a lot will change but for what I want the reassurance for I'll be fine to go at 6. I know I'll probably want another after it!

sneakpeek1414 · 21/02/2021 19:24

@MTB2410 that's 3 of us with exactly the same date 😊😊

1boo1 · 21/02/2021 19:24

@MTB2410 all same dates, how funny!

TonightMatthew · 21/02/2021 19:51

Oh yes sharp pains I actually did have them! Was a little edgy about it but they died down. I'm trying to be zen about it all and 'what will be will be' but it's so hard!

Scan at 7+6 should be good - apparently a heartbeat after 7 weeks is a really good sign.

Fingers crossed everyone has a good week Smile

Kittysw · 21/02/2021 23:13

Looks like I am the same as you guys above with the 5 weeks. I am thinking of booking a scan at roughly 7+4.

I have been on edge all day as most of my symptoms seam to have gone today. Still the odd slight cramping and sore boobs but nothing like the last few days. This waiting is so hard and I feel nervous all the time.

I have told my DF and my best friend but that's it and this is our first so I think that makes me more on edge as I just don't know what to expect.

1boo1 · 22/02/2021 06:44

@sneakpeek1414 Woke up 7364837 times after holding my pee in the night to test this morning and got my 3+ weeks. Yippeeeee

DH wants to wait until closer to 7 weeks for our early scan not 6 weeks 🙄 I sort of agree but impatient! This should keep me going for 2 weeks now though!

sneakpeek1414 · 22/02/2021 06:47

@1boo1 woop! So we're defo on the right track as we're only just 5 weeks!

Yea I think if we have a scan round 7 then see the heartbeat we should feel a lot happier! Now to wait the two weeks out again 🤣🤣

1boo1 · 22/02/2021 07:01

@sneakpeek1414 and we thought the TWW was long 🤣 mine was only 10 days and felt like a lifetime!

tigertummy · 22/02/2021 07:25

I think I'm going to hold out as long as possible for a scan. I feel like I need as much reassurance as possible

@1boo1 thanks for linking to this thread!

I am 5 weeks today, had my BFP at 11dpo. I too have been suffering stomach cramps and a variety of other symptoms.

I have a scan booked privately for 6 weeks 5 days, so it's a bit nearer the 7 week mark.

Andrushy · 22/02/2021 21:13

Light and / or heavy period with brown discharge (before and after with some clots) seems to be ending today.. last one was just a little spotting in afternoon. Strip test still said negative this morning but still having some warm feeling, light cramps and vibration- like feeling or small bubbles, also feeling a lof of stretching in lower abdomen and pain on left side when sitting or lieying down.. makes me so worried but also am going insane for not knowking 100% if I am pregnant or not:(( GP refferer me for an ultrasound but as u know, it takes forever until I get the letter and book it in.. anybody with period bleeding around 5 weeks as well as a negative test but with all the symptomps in the world??

Kittysw · 22/02/2021 21:47

@Andrushy Have you had any BFP tests at all this cycle?

Andrushy · 22/02/2021 22:01

@Kittysw what is a BFP test? I did a Clearblue friday morning and was negative.. if I am pregnant it could have only happened on 3rd feb ( know for sure the night with hubby :) twas a big gap before this date) so I should be 5 weeks tomorrow..

Kittysw · 22/02/2021 22:10

@Andrushy BFP means big fat positive, so a positive pregnancy test. I would say if you haven't had one then unfortunately you probably aren't pregnant. I have heard of some people wanting it so badly that they have these symptoms but they are just almost like a phantom pregnancy as they believe it and their body makes their hormones go crazy. I'm not an expert but I would say without a positive test its pretty unlikely.
