I don't dare say it out loud yet or celebrate or get excited or anything but I'm 4 weeks pregnant today.

Anyone else out there just had a positive test result and want to keep me company?

@Fawn68 sorry to hear of your miscarriage 😞

It's just a waiting game isn't it, I had cramps too but they've subsided now and I've had no bleeding. Hopefully when we get scanned at 7 weeks all will be well and we will go ahead as normal. Do you have any other little ones?

Conundrum12345 · 17/02/2021 14:56

@Fawn68 I'm 4+2. First baby and just really worried about everything

Fawn68 · 17/02/2021 14:58

@sneakpeek1414 it really is! You worry about getting pregnant, when pregnant and when you have children lol.
What date is your scan and how many weeks are you? Yes I have a son he is 2 Smile

Fawn68 · 17/02/2021 14:58

@Conundrum12345 ahh great Smile Totally normal to be so worried think we all are!

@Fawn68 aw I also have a son that's 2!

I'm going to book my scan for 7 weeks 4 days as that's the only day it's open! I'm 4+3 today!

Feel like this ones going to be a massive worry from start to finish 🤦🏼‍♀️

Fawn68 · 17/02/2021 15:03

@sneakpeek1414 how lovely Smile I know it's a nightmare lol! Not too long left to wait until the scan x

Kittysw · 17/02/2021 15:29

@BelleBeau at least I'm not the only one with the odd symptoms. Yeh I'm really enjoying the pregnancy+ app.

@Conundrum12345 My symptoms keep coming and going and I was pretty crampy for the last few days but today they seam to have settled. Still there but only felt it once or twice today. I'm starting to feel a little more nauseous now as well.

I really want to book an early scan but my DF doesn't see the point when only a matter of weeks later we will have the scan on the NHS. I may just book one anyway.

englishgirlinscotland · 17/02/2021 15:50

I think it's really common for symptoms to come and go! I felt pretty much fine yesterday and this morning but now the metal taste is back with a vengeance. And remember some people only find out about their pregnancies super late so they must have pretty much no symptoms at all the whole time! It's just because we're so hyper aware I think.

Ive got a scan booked in for March 13th so I should be 8 weeks by then - just in time to (hopefully) tell my mum on Mother's Day that next year she'll be getting a Grandma card too!

I've only told a couple of people at work that I work really closely with so they can cover for me if I'm struggling thanks to the nausea/tiredness - I can't wait to tell the first ACTUAL person if that makes sense Grin

Conundrum12345 · 17/02/2021 16:05

Thanks all! Its so nice to be able to talk to you all with our similar symptoms!

Kittysw · 17/02/2021 16:24

@Conundrum12345 Makes you feel a little less insane I think anyway. Who knew something could mess with your head and emotions this much.

@englishgirlinscotland oh how lovely will that be for your mum on mothers day. Hopefully it all goes to plan. I have told just my best friend as we do a lot of zoom workouts as a big group and she can cover for me if I need to quickly dash off. Luckily no sickness as of yet though so hopefully it stays that way.

tigertummy · 17/02/2021 17:37

@PapercraftNinja I have a 3 year old so no rest for me. Plus I'm a teacher so although it's half term this week, which is desperately needed, next week I will be back to long hours and no chance at all for any rest!

@tigertummy oh me too haha! Sorry to hear it will be back to work next week.

I’m a bit worried because my nails have gone really weak, soft and splitting. I know how stupid this sounds but with DD my hair and nails grew really strong. I had a mmc 2017 and my nails were the same as this like some deficiency. I am worried because I only started folic acid when I took the pregnancy test so does it signal some problem? Argh this early stage is so worrying

Stardust89 · 17/02/2021 20:18

Hi everyone 👋 congrats on your BFPs

Tested positive on Saturday & I'm currently 4 weeks 5 days, due 22nd October.

I keep getting soft waves of nausea mainly when I smell something. My boobs are sore someday fine others and still getting some cramping. And I am super tired but wondered if it's because I've quit coffee, which I'm saying I've given up for lent 😉

Not sure yet when we are going to tell people but I want it to be face to face ideally.

Because partners aren't able to come into scans I think I'm going to book a private one that allows partners.

I've already got to have the first midwife appointment at almost 10 weeks on my own and he's gutted, bloody covid.

@PapercraftNinja try not to worry, it might just be a coincidence.

PapercraftNinja · 17/02/2021 22:17

Good idea re lent I might make use of that one!

Congratulations, funny to hear we mostly all having sporadic symptoms at the moment

Conundrum12345 · 18/02/2021 08:54

I woke up today with no symptoms I had previously and freaking out. I took a PT and its still positive. No bleeding, I have some cramping. Is this normal. 4+3

sneakpeek1414 · 18/02/2021 09:50

@Conundrum12345 yesterday my boob were a lot less sore! I panicked! But today the soreness is back and I have quite a lot of discharge (sorry TMI)

I think symptoms must fluctuate in these early stages

Fawn68 · 18/02/2021 10:05

I don't really have any symptoms today again, that's 2 days in a row now 😔

sneakpeek1414 · 18/02/2021 10:17

@Fawn68 have you done another test? I'm sure it will be fine, Google definitely says that symptoms come and go!

Fawn68 · 18/02/2021 10:27

@sneakpeek1414 no no more tests, part of me is scared! I last tested on Tuesday and the line had got stronger. I might test tomorrow!

sneakpeek1414 · 18/02/2021 10:35

It would probably put your mind at rest if you have some ICs knocking about! I'm ashamed to admit it do one every morning 🙈

Fawn68 · 18/02/2021 10:46

@sneakpeek1414 thanks I'll maybe do one in the morning!

BelleBeau · 18/02/2021 12:08

It must be normal to have fluctuating symptoms at the moment as I've had some bad cramps the last 2 days, but no blood. I did a test on Tuesday and a super strong line so all still positive!
The cramps aren't fun though!

Fawn68 · 18/02/2021 12:17

@BelleBeau I just spoke to a friend in EPU and she said at this stage it's very normal for symptoms to come and go and be different each day. She reassured me about the cramps and said the progesterone pessaries can cause cramping. I think I'll just try to settle myself and wait for my early scan! Testing again will just cause me more stress I think.

It really seems like we are all experiencing on off symptoms!

tigertummy · 18/02/2021 12:31

Mine are changing day to day as well. It's a relief to hear we're all the same
