36 weeks and baby is ‘quiet’ today

I normally feel him first thing in the morning when I wake up but I haven’t this morning. I came downstairs and had a coffee (that usually makes him move) he moved slightly (flutters but not as strong as normal) I’ve had a lie down on my left side as this usually gets him moving too but no movement. Is it normal to have ‘quiet’ days? I’ve had 3 growth scans so far and at each scan he has slightly dropped. He started on the 90th percentile and he’s now on the 50th. The doctor wasn’t overly concerned but I have to go back in 12 days for another scan and she said depending on the result of the scan I may need to be induced a little earlier. I will phone triage but I feel a bit silly doing so considering I have had a few flutters

@bubblegeek22 thank you☺️ Been told to bounce on the ball but it’s hurting so I’m currently sat on the edge of the bed moving side to side as that’s the only thing that’s helping the pain😔 They are going to examine me at 5:30 this evening but I’m really hoping something happens before then as I can’t put up with these pains for another 10 hours😔

Oh you poor thing! Can you ask for more pain relief? Even a Tens machine might help.

So after being in agony all day I’m only 1cm so my waters can’t be broke yet😭 all that pain for nothing, I’m so fed up now😔 And to top it off the doctor isn’t happy with the ctg readings (I was on the monitor for almost 2 hours) I have no idea why as I haven’t actually been told anything directly, but something to do with him moving too much?How ironic how this all started out with reduced movements! And his resting heart rate has gone from in the 140’s to the 110’s? This is all I know and what I’ve picked up from the whispers from outside of my room😔

Sorry your going through a hard time. Is other half with you? Try and demand answers about whats going on! Your in tbe best place and just remember baby will be in your arms so soon.

@PFin No he had to go home at 8😔 A midwife has just come in the room and she said she is going to examine me at 10 so hopefully they’ll be an update🤞🏼 He will be worth it💙

Hopefully you've progressed, being induced seems to be such a long slog for some people I hope its not too much longer for you.

Sorry it's taking so long! It does hurt and it's frustrating when progress is so slow

Fingers crossed for you, slow labours are so frustrating let alone when there's been worry already. Hope you get more info and a clear plan of action when they next check you. Lots of love and luck!

I had my first at 38 weeks by emergency c section and he was 6lb 12.

Oh my goodness, ttc here and have randomly stumbled upon this thread after copious searches of everything baby related. Am posting this as I'm awaiting the update . OP I'm in admiration of you! Hope baby makes an appearance soon x

Hope everything's okay! Do whatever feels comfortable, walking or swaying from side to side might help too. Hope you either have a baby before midnight or a good night's sleep! Not long now until you have your little one x
