36 weeks and baby is ‘quiet’ today

I normally feel him first thing in the morning when I wake up but I haven’t this morning. I came downstairs and had a coffee (that usually makes him move) he moved slightly (flutters but not as strong as normal) I’ve had a lie down on my left side as this usually gets him moving too but no movement. Is it normal to have ‘quiet’ days? I’ve had 3 growth scans so far and at each scan he has slightly dropped. He started on the 90th percentile and he’s now on the 50th. The doctor wasn’t overly concerned but I have to go back in 12 days for another scan and she said depending on the result of the scan I may need to be induced a little earlier. I will phone triage but I feel a bit silly doing so considering I have had a few fluttersConfused

I get that, I mean even though you know it is going to happen sooner or later there still must be this moment where it gets really real!

@Sparkles556 good luck for Wednesday it's been a long slog to get here but I'm so glad you feel happy with care you've received. Will be a relief when he's in your arms 😁

Sparkles556 · 23/02/2021 08:58

@LauEli thank youSmile it definitely has been a long slog but finally the end is in sight😁 I was induced with DS1 as he was overdue and I don’t have good memories with that but I keep getting told each labour is different so fingers crossed this time around is a bit more straightforward😅 100% it will be a relief when he’s here😍

The second time around, your body often remembers what it’s doing and so hopefully this birth will be much more straightforward. Exciting you’ll be meeting your little one soon!! All the best.

Sparkles556 · 23/02/2021 11:00

Good luck Sparkles, Pisces people are the best.

Bear present for baby.

Brew for you, anyone else think we really need a hot buttered toast emoticon! Hospital tea isn’t the same without it.

Sparkles556 · 24/02/2021 12:54

@bubblegeek22 thank you😊 I didn’t get here until 12 so not been seen yet and I remember from my last induction it can all take a while! I’ve got my own side room which is nice and my partner can stay here with me until 8 so it’s worked out quite good! 🥰xxx

@viques aww thank you that’s lovely🥰

Thanks for the latest messagesSmile So just an update (well more of a moan) I had a propess inserted yesterday at 5:30pm. The midwife said my cervix was favourable so that was a good thing. Then from about 9:30pm until I was given codine at 11:30pm I was in agony with what felt like contractions coming every 2 minutes but only at the bottom of the stomach rather than across the front. Then ever since just discomfort. I do feel like things may be happening🤞🏼 but I feel like I’ve had enough already and the pain is already getting to me😂
