I am starting this thread a bit early. I tested yesterday at 9dpo and got a faint positive, which was much darker today. My due date would be the 29 September, but this is my second child and my first was super late, so am assuming this will really be an October baby.

Hi everyone! Would also love to join. I have a 4.5 yo DS and a 2.5 yo DD. We sadly had a miscarriage at 8/9 weeks last October so praying that this baby will be happy and healthy in there! 😀

Dreamingoutloud7 · 01/02/2021 07:45

Hi everyone, hope it’s ok to join.
Due 8/10
It’s baby number 2 for us, dd is just about to turn 4 and I seem to have forgotten all about what I’m meant to do 😂
Hope everyone is doing well

Hi all,

I'm so nervous posting here as I can't quite believe it.

This is our first baby and I was about to be referred to the fertility clinic by my doctor. He asked me to take a pregnancy test to rule it out and to my absolute shock and joy it was positive.

Very scared, very nervous about whether I could miscarriage or something else happens as it just seems too good to be true.

I don't know when my ovulation day was, we just had sex 3.5 weeks straight in January as my periods are all over the place, only stopping following the positive tests. My period started 30th December after being 3 weeks late.

I think my due date is around 9th October but can't be sure. It's all guesswork at the moment based on the NHS calculator.

The doctor told me to take a few more tests and he is calling me back on Friday (4 all positive).

I can't get excited, I'm just in a state of disbelief.

Can I join please? 😊 got my BFP today at 4 weeks. Hoping it’s all real! I had a MMC in November last year at 8 weeks, with surgical management in December. I think I had my first period on the 4th January, but hard to tell as it was a very light one! I only got my negative test 3 weeks or so ago and keep comparing the photos to make sure this is new, but the line looks pretty clear so hoping this is it for me 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I’m 31, this will be our first baby. Have had a lot of small cramps the last week or so, not painful but I would describe them as weird 😂 my boobs don’t hurt but feel like they’ve got bigger. Also a little tired and have felt nauseous a few times but I feel like it’s too early for that?!
I didn’t have many symptoms last time other than sore boobs, so this feels different to me!

YakkityYakYakYak · 01/02/2021 14:23

I finally got a proper positive!

I’ve had a few very very faint positive tests on Friday and Saturday so was a bit nervous to fully believe it. Sent DH out to get a clear blue digital today and finally have my positive test.

I’m exactly 4 weeks and my app says due on 11th Oct. This will be our second, DD is 19 months old.

No real symptoms so far apart from a slightly sore tummy, feel like I’ve done lots of sit ups. I also just feel absolutely exhausted, can’t remember feeling this tired early on with DD but perhaps that’s because I didn’t also have a toddler added into the mix!

PumpkinEverything · 01/02/2021 14:38

Twins @YakkityYakYakYak 😊 I’m 4 weeks today too with the same due date. Baby #1 for us, I had a MMC in November, so hoping this is it for us! Just done a cheapie today and then I think I might to do a digital CB tomorrow to see how many weeks it said. This was mine from this morning!

Hi Everyone,

Can I join? I'm almost 6 weeks along already, baby should be due on October 1st.

This is my second, I have a 3 year old DS.

Wishing everyone happy, healthy pregnancies. X

PumpkinEverything · 01/02/2021 15:47

Sent you a friend request @LucyrGilbert to join the Facebook group 😊

LauEli · 01/02/2021 15:53

Welcome all new bfp ladies 😁 how exciting!!

penguin7 · 01/02/2021 16:10

Can I join? I'm 5wks3days NHS website calculates my due date as 1st Oct. This is our first baby.

YakkityYakYakYak · 01/02/2021 16:11

Would love to join the Facebook group if that’s okay, so much easier to keep track of different conversations on there!

How can I join?

LucyrGilbert · 01/02/2021 17:47

Hi ladies I’ve had to cap the group as it’s getting to big, hope you don’t mind xx

Bunnyears85 · 01/02/2021 18:00

@LucyrGilbert Cap the FB group? Why?! Seems unfair to those who haven't joined yet.

YakkityYakYakYak · 01/02/2021 18:10

@LucyrGilbert that’s your prerogative I suppose

I can set something else up for the rejects if someone can tell me how Blush

Bunnyears85 · 01/02/2021 18:16

@YakkityYakYakYak sounds great. Thank you. I'm in two other FB groups stemmed from Mumsnet due date threads and never heard of there being too many Confused Such a shame.

LucyrGilbert · 01/02/2021 18:19

I didn’t mean it in a nasty way at all. Just some people have asked to keep the group smaller. I’m sorry if you took offensive xx

Bunnyears85 · 01/02/2021 18:29

Honestly, I think that's a real shame. People are here to offer support, and share kindness. That should not and does not have a limit. I feel genuinely sad about this as my 2016 and 2018 Mumsnet pages have been an absolute God send. How sad that in this day and age you need to put a cap on support and friendship. I've never heard of such a mumsnet Facebook group like that before. My 2016 group is amazing and 5 years on we still have 100 members and we all know each other and meet up every summer!

YakkityYakYakYak · 01/02/2021 18:34

@Bunnyears85 - there is actually another group which seems like it’s a bit smaller, maybe worth having a look at? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/4150199-Party-for-ladies-due-in-October-2021?pg=2

motherofdinosau · 01/02/2021 18:38

Doesn't mean other groups cant be set up though, does it?! ☺️
So don't worry about it!
Support is still here and on lots of other threads and groups...fond what works for you & let others do what works for them!

nellly · 01/02/2021 18:52

Gosh someone was kind enough to set up a support group, it's something they have to manage and moderate, they want to keep it small. She doesn't owe hundreds of people support! Just set up another one there's bound to be so many more ladies, we're only roughly at people who's due dates are mid October finding out! Set up a late October/Halloween baby club Smile

XSunflower · 01/02/2021 19:00

I'm in the group myself and can fully understand how easy it would be to get overwhelmed with a high number in the group. This is my first pregnancy, so being able to speak to people that are super close to my due date is helping any stress I may go through. There's no malice in it at all by capping the members and as has been said, there are a couple of groups knocking about at the min that may be due at closer dates x

Thefaceofboe · 01/02/2021 19:05

I’d love to join a new group if anyone sets one up? First baby too and super nervous so would be nice to be on there with others with a similar due date :)

Hettycake · 02/02/2021 10:25

Hi ladies, can i join the thread?
I'm 38 and had a BFP on Saturday, this will be my first. I'm 5 weeks today and my due date is 7th October. Think i'm still in shock and so surprised at how tired i am already! Would be really good to hear from others going through the same as me and from those wise mummys who have past experience.
Thanks ladies :)

nellly · 02/02/2021 10:30

Hi @Hettycake another first timer here!! I've been trawling through old mumsnet posts for advice and to try and figure what is about to happen to my life Grin

Hettycake · 02/02/2021 11:08

Hi Nelly,
Congratulations Smile and indeed to all the other ladies on here.
Ha i have been trawling through too with a mixture of excitement and fear. Just keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky bean at the moment and to be able to keep it a secret until 14 weeks!
How are your symptoms so far?
